I also want to steal pigeons from Chicago, and drive them out to the country. Watch them choke on the sweet air of freedom and nature.

I want you to take some pigeons from Chicago, too. It's not that I hate the little flying rats, it's just that I think that country cats could use some slow-witted city birds. Country/barn cats should get a nice big dinner once in a while, too.

I just went and spent a fortune on Chanukah gifts. For my cats. Because PetCo has Chanukah gifts. They're so cute! We got them three little blue and white miniature tennis balls, with stars-of-David and Happy Chanukah on them, and then also a little blue and silver dangly feather thing on a pole. Plus some chewy treats, and a big new sisal-and-carpet scratching post. Pretty soon, we'll get them an enclosed stroller so I can take them to the vet without having to carry their weight. That may not happen until springtime, though, when it's a bit warmer.

My mother just called, too, and gave me an idea for next Sukkah. A mini-sukkah (for the holiday of Sukkot, "Booths" or "Tabernacles") for our dining table. A sukkah is supposed to be in the yard, large enough for multiple people to sit and chill out, eat a meal; even have a cot for sleeping in, if possible. But since we have no yard, we can at least make a mini-sukkah and put it on our dining table to remind us of the holiday.

I sense the need to buy a hot glue gun!
