You can use the save file I linked in my last post to play the world in SP or if you guys host your own server, you can use it there. The save file is rather large though, 79.4MB and that's compressed as much as WinRAR could manage.

i wonder what the biggest map someone has made. size wise. i'd love to see a 10 gb map. that'd be a whole epic adventure the size of morrowind and oblivion combined

Even bigger. A ~70MB map you can travel in the same direction from the middle of the map for 20 minutes and still not reach the edge. It only takes about an hour or so to travel across Morrowind or Cyrodiil. (Did I even spell Cyrodiil right?) If someone managed to get a 10GB map, you'd probably be able to travel for days in real life and still not reach the edge.

Isn't a complete circle in a Minecraft world like 8 times the size of earth or something? Remember reading that somewhere.

Unless Notch has included it in an update recently, there's no circumnavigation yet. The engine can handle somewhere over 3,000,000 blocks in any one direction though before it runs out of coordinates to give it. Circumnavigation would be quite awesome though, I'd love to see that added eventually.

Now that I've actually thought about it, I realized some of you may wish to look into joining this server. Doritos_man is hosting my old server map. A lot of the old regulars are still playing on it too. (JshBet8, Jechtman, Generictoast, etc.) I thought some of you such as Electropow might be interested in trying to rejoin. (Since he was working on all those awesome bridges and whatnot when I shut down the server.)

if a server can hosted on linux, if my dad doesn't take the old computer with him i might have it host a map, though i dunno what his plans are, he could have the end of days plotted out and it all involves my old computer, and i wouldn't know.

i still wish i could have made my adminium 5 level maze in complete secrecy on onyx's server. but the tool to erase admin blocks didn't work well and the minute i goofed i gave up.

It didn't even work at all. Unless you count working as completely breaking Hey0's so I had to reinstall it.

just for the future refernece here, if you want whitelisted, having a steam account helps as onyx is on it ALL THE TIME. so you can get slightly more instant results. i'll leave it up to him if he wants to give out his steam name.
