"I would've liked it!" Malik responded defensively, "Everybody just calls me 'hot' or 'exotic looking', it's so annoying! I think being called cute is much more..." He stopped for a moment, " ...affectionate."
(Gah. I gotta go. Stupid swim meet requires I wake up at 6:30 tomorrow.. so much for beauty sleep... T__T;; ))

Lavender eyes widened, "I am not!" He quickly shouted in a spastic moment, "Well, not really, but... damn it, see I used the wrong word..." He paused for a moment, pointing his index finger in the air all knowingly, "Or perhaps you, in your incompetence you heard me wrong. I couldn't have said affectionate. What does that word even mean? I'm not sure I even know. And even if I did, I'd have to say that rather than being affectionate... it is more likely, that it's all just toying on my part. So you see... I'm toying with you... heh. I knew it would get you all flustered if I called you cute - hence me calling you said name. I merely was trying to make us both feel a bit better by innocently teasing you, and then you had to go and turn into the color of a tomato and ruin my well thought out plan." The blond quickly explained, followed by a grunt, his face now noticeably more pink despite his attempt at a cool demeanor and he stood up abruptly to exit the room and change the subject, "You're probably hungry aren't you?"
Damn him and his tongue. He hadn't really meant affectionate, had he... well, Jounouchi was cute... but that didn't mean he wanted any affection from him. Just because he had happened to have been the only one there in his time of crisis, didn't mean he actually could... like him. Malik Ishtar has no time for petty crushes, The Egyptian deferred And that kiss had just been all fun and games as well...
...all right, it could hardly even count as a kiss, Malik decided. It would only mean anything if there was a second kiss involved - which was unlikely to ever happen anyway.
So, I'm playing with the fool. He deserves it for making me cry like that!
If that had really been the case...
...then why did I get all nervous just now...? a voice questioned from the back of his mind. It was bothering him. "Well, I'm hungry. " He decided for himself that Jounouchi was probably hungry and whipped into the kitchen in a poor attempt to hide his nervous breakdown.
... if I didn't care then why was I so worried about him...? Said a second voice of reason. Malik quickly dismissed the thought, and turned to pour some water for tea, wearing a bitter frown.
((Come to think of it, I can't remember why I even wrote that... I think I really couldn't find the word for it... ahh, damn it. That's okay, I'll play it off too. ^^;; He really doesn't have any logical explanation though. Poor baka Malik. ))

So Jounouchi was just left sitting there, blinking in utter confusion. Malik talked to fast for him to keep up, especially with all of those fancy words... it had seemed more like Malik was talking to himself than Jounouchi anyway, so the blond shrugged it off and decided not to think over it all, instead more interested in Malik's offer of food. "Yeah, I'm hungry too!" he called to the kitchen, picking up his shirt and slipping it back on. He then proceeded to follow Malik into said room, "What should we eat?"

((*sweatdrop* I suppose. I was feeling a bit of writers block... and I thought it sounded really BS... but thank you! ^^; You're the sweet, funny, smart one... XD;
I told my friends that... and they laughed hysterically. Now they won't stop teasing me about it. One of my friends said, "It's obvious this person has never really met you," I was like, "O_O What's that supposed to mean?!"
*sigh* They are such nice people... -.-; ))
Malik whirled around surprised to notice Jounouchi had followed him into the kitchen, (He'd been arguing with himself rather than paying attention to his surroundings) he jumped a little in surprise at first - than noticed Jounouchi had slipped his shirt back on.
" You put your shirt back on." He stated lamely, placing the kettle on the store, and then turning burner giving an unamused stare in Jounouchi's direction.
" I think we have some instant noodles." He quickly added, "I haven't gone shopping in awhile though."

"Um... yeah..." Jounouchi replied blinking, wondering why Malik was stating something so obvious. He looked down at his shirt to see if he had put it on backwards or something. Once it was confirmed that his shirt was in fact on properly, he looked back up, "I'm good with instant noodles. What flavor?"

(( Well... I know. I believe you. Since my friends and I hang out so much, it's a lot easier to see the bad. Y'know what I mean? But I'm like you - if I don't like someone I just don't say anything. Although... if I'm in a bad mood... *sweatdrop* ... it depends on how much I dislike them... ^^; )
"Well, I have shrimp flavor and chicken. I hope that's an okay breakfast for you," He opened his cabinet. They were pretty sparce - aside from the four packets of noodles, they were completely empty. "Actually - I think I have to go shopping once we are done eating..." He realized, " Do you wanna come?"

((Waah, sorry that sounded really retarded... I've been reading Harry Potter all day and somehow, ironically enough, that's seems to have given me somewhat of a writers' block. XD;;; ))

((^_^ Which one!??! Have you seen the movie yet? Since the fifth book was my favorite ... the fifth movie didn't really do it for me. =3
But that's okay, half of my posts are the devilish spawn of writers block. And I betcha didn't notice. Erm, well I try to hide it. ))
"Okay then," Malik said in agreement, taking two cups of chicken flavored instant noodles from his cabinet shelves. From below him came a soft meow, the kitten seemed to have awoken from her nap. (With the assumption with that is what she'd been doing all night) He kneeled down to her putting down the ramen, and offering her a gentle hand, "Sanura," He softly cooed to her, " You hungry?"
She cautious sniffed at his hand, before accepting his affection and rubbing her face against his fingers. He stood up abruptly, "Of course you don't have to pay for anything dumb a**." Malik said hitting Jounouchi lightly in the back of the head as he passed him in the kitchen to grab the cat food he had bought the night previous.
((Oh right... did I tell you... I found out what Akila means. Haha, I forgot the definition, I just liked how it sounded. Anyway, it's rather funny... it means, "intelligent" *laugh* I just thought it was interesting how that's is what I ended up naming myself. O_O
And it's good you've been reading all day come to think of it. I've been doodling and playing Guitar Hero 2. Not a very good use of my day off... XD; ))

((The first one. XD I realized how soon the seventh one is coming out, so I'm re-reading all of them to refresh my memory. I probably won't make it before the seventh one comes out, but that's fine, because I buy them all in paperback anyway. I'll just borrow the hard-cover from a friend once they're done. I didn't have much time to read today though because I've been babysitting and cleaning, so I'm only about two-thirds of the way through the first. XP Started it this morning, but I probably won't finish it until tomorrow, which is pathetic since the first time I read it I finished it in half a day. *sigh* But anyway, I haven't seen the fifth movie yet. I probably will soon though. *really does want to see it* My favorite book is the fourth one. Actually, the fifth was probably one of my least-favorites. XD;; It was just so depressing!
And... you hide writers' block insanely well... o.o))
"Hey!" Jounouchi huffed, shooting a glare at Malik. He quickly crossed his arms, restraining himself from attacking Malik. Instead he opted for staring down at the little kitten, "So... your names Sanura?" he smiled at him.

((What makes you think I wouldn't enjoy the most depressing book in the series? Aside from six I suppose. Sirius is my favorite character ever. (I used to call myself, Mrs.Black *LMAO* and Mistress Padfoot)<3 And number five did get into his character a lot. Although, three did also. *second favorite* I ought to re-read some of them also. ))
Malik grinned, "I called her 'kitten' in my language stupid." He laughed, petting the kitten's head as he fed it some of the dry food in a small bowl. "I haven't figured out what I really want to name her. For now, I guess I'll just call her by this nickname. And anyway, I don't want her to respond to Japanese calls. In ancient Egyptian culture bastets - or cats were sacred animals deserving of nearly as much praise as the great Pharaoh's themselves. I want to find her a name worthy of a queen. "

Otogi wiped the sweat from his forehead as he stepped off the DDR platform. It had to be his favorite game, and he was damn good at it. Plus all the girls would always stare at him and his tush shaking abilities whenever he played it on Expert mode. "Up for another game, Honda-kun," The ebony hair boy said with a grin, jingling some quarters in his hand.

((XD;; Umbridge ruined that book for me... Sirius is my favorite character too, though I don't consider myself into him enough where I would judge my opinions of the books depending on how much he was developed in them. (not saying that's a bad thing; I just mean that while he's my favorite character, I'm not as into him as say, Jounouchi or Zuko. XD;; ) Since the books still focus on Harry, and things just completely sucked for Harry in the fifth, that might be why I didn't care for it. ^^ You'd think the fourth wouldn't be my favorite since Sirius is hardly in it, but whatever. *shrugs* My order for favorites probably goes... Four, six, three, five, one, and two... though I really do love them all. And I realized I needed to re-read them when my friend told me how cute she thought Hagrid's brother was (she had just started reading the books) and I was like, "Hagrid has a brother? o.o" It had been a while and I had completely forgotten. XD;; Took me a few seconds to remember him.))
"Well how do you expect me to know your language?!" Jounouchi huffed, getting really insulted with being called "dumb a**" and "stupid." He looked away crossing his arms, "Guess you would make a good cat..." he mumbled, thinking Malik was acting too high-and-mighty.

Honda simply smirked at Otogi as the screen showed another loss for himself, "You know it." he replied. True, he was no where near as good at the game as Otogi, but he was decent enough, and he was definitely competitive. This was fun, even though he did keep losing.

((I know, Harry was SO emo and angry in the fifth book. But then again, that is me. I love my characters to be put in such situations where they become bitchy and hate everything. Erm, hence my love of Malik? I dunno, I love Harry in the fifth book more than I did in any other book. *glomps him*
I think my order would be, five, three, six, two, one and then four. XD; A tad different I suppose...
Hagrid's brother... c-cute!?! *gags on something* Erm... well, that is a new one. ^^; ))
"Really, Jounouchi?" Malik perked, lifting himself up from his squat over the floor allowing the kitten to eat, "I'm glad we can get along now." He said with a proud grin, grabbing the tea kettle that was now screaming at him from the stove, and pouring water in to the foam cups of noodles.
((Again, being stupid... -.- This is what writers block does to him... I forgive Otogi's stupidity though. *laugh*))
"Awright, I need to take a water break first, even somebody as good as me gets tired once in awhile," He scratched his chin for a moment, looking at Honda curiously, "Did you still want Mai's number...?" The teen asked out of the blue. (There was a plan behind this, but he'd rather not have it be revealed. Otogi is a stratigist.)
((Haha, Malik would make a good cat. They seriously think they rule the world. My stupid cat, sits on my head every night, pushes my head off of the pillow, and when I wake up my neck is all bent over and she has the whole pillow to herself like it's a throne. >=( ))
