Actually not really, Lichens are so small since they are mainly Fungi that it would be unlikely that they just go obliterated. I'm a freak when it comes to wild life, I am making a journal of medicimal and other useful Plants, their locations and characteristics.

plants and fungi are 2 diffrent things my friend, in the animal kingdom fungi,(mushrooms, bacteria, ect.) is placed into a diffrent category, lol one of the olny things I remembered from biology

Lol I understand that, but Most Lichen are plants. Though they act like Fungi sometimes. Its confusing we just reviewed it. Just like some Mosses are Fungi but most are Plants. So all in all if there was absolutely no plants in the training grounds than it'd be nothing but a sand pit that would basically sink in everyone and most people would be buried in sand blown away by the wind....

hmm, well I don't know much about desert plants, but alot of plants that support top soil in the desert are dead and usally become more sand, that or a more solid matrail below the sand like clay or stone support it and the wind blows sand onto more sand if ' foot of sand is moved more sand moves into its place i need to read more about the desert confused

I study how the earth works. I'm an Information junknie, basically without the roots of the Cacti and other non vascular plants the sand would run off of each other creating an absolutely unstable and un usable are where anyone that put wait on it would just begin to fall. I've been stuck in a quick sand like material, same idea.
