Lena giggled and clapped her hands. "Correct! Oh, you're good!"

"again, life at The Pitt was hard but rewarding."

Lena's eyes softened. "When did you escape the Pitt?" she asked.

"i didnt. there is a competition called 'the hole' there where they have an arena. in the arena, the put slaves against each other. the slave that survives either gets to let into the Haven, where the slavers live, or set free. i was set free, but not before i left them a little good-bye gift" he smiled slyly

Lena tilted her head in curiousity.

"you see, the Haven was a run down hotel building. i went into the basement where all the generators are and set up a bunch of coca-grenades, which are VERY powerful home made grenades the explode in a flurry of blue and red flame covering a 5-yard radius! that, plus the explosions from the generators, didnt end well for the slavers"

"Well, well look at you!" Lena smirked. Her stomach growled and she turned red with embarrasment. "Oh, where's my food?" she growled.

the waitress brought by the food while Nikolai explained "sadly, some slavers survived the blast.but anyway, as soon as i left the pitt, i took a boat to Point Lookout, a swampy area, where i did some treasure hunting. i found some and lost some. i took another boat from there to Anchorage, Alaska, then to here."

Lena thought about how she got here. "I came here by good old walking. Roy and I have been traveling everywhere to look for an old friend who disappeared." Her expression turned sad as she looked at the ground. "So far, we haven't even had a clue. So we thought that we might as well enroll here in the meantime."

"lost friend? could you ever think that he/she could be dead?"

Lena hesitated. Her expression turned from sad to pained for a second. "Sometimes I do, but deep down...deep down I know he's alive."

he patted her shoulder warmly "hey now buck up! if he is alive you'll find em! and hey maybe he is here at this school, he just doesn't know yet."

Lena felt Nikolai pat her shoulder and looked at him warmly with a small smile. "Thanks." she whispered and wiped away a tear.

"i mean just look at me! i got away from a disease and slavery ridden place. if i can do something that amazing, a demon like you could do twice as amazing!" he thought that this was why people thought he was charming

Lena smiled gently. "Looks like you finally charmed me." she whispered and ate a chicken nugget.
