Genjutsu
The fear of becoming something you don't want to be..
On the list was also Bouzenjishitsu no Jutsu (Stupification Technique). It looked the black haired girl fun to test that one on herself as well. Linking her hands in the required signs, she started up the genjutsu. Her chakra control was very steady, she didn't want to overdo it right away and make herself lost in a genjutsu. When she finished weaving up the chakra pattern, she released the genjutsu at the mirror and thus at herself. Her eyes were wide open. She felt her body being tightened in the position she saw herself in. This was highly uncomfortable, so she blinked her eyes to stop it.(1/1)
Next on were the genin jutsu she liked to learn. She skipped through them and only picked the ones she would most likely use in this war. She wanted to be able to defend herself and she couldn't do much more than throwing kunais and basic jutsu. She couldn't even perform some good kicks with her weak body. So she started on Kai, because it was most likely that other shinobi were into genjutsu as well, and if she would caught in one, that would make her a very lousy ninja. She clasped her hands together in the seals and focussed on disprupting the pattern of a genjutsu. Since she had done so many genjutsu already, she knew what the typical pattern of a genjutsu was like. This jutsu was a piece of cake(1/1)
Magen: Narakumi No Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Vision of Hell Technique) was the next technique on the list, and Else shrugged a little before she started on it. As all the others, she had to perform this one on herself as well, and she couldn't guess which one of the scenes of her life was most traumatic, so that she could prepare for it. She uttered the jutsu, and immediatly, a scene came up. An orphanage, where children were screaming and blood covered the walls. A man came up to her and she cried for him to leave her alone. The katana moved and slashed her across the troath to cut her head off. She went silent, but her head wasn't missing. The pain was horrible, and.... the genjutsu vanished. Else sat down for a few minutes to recover from this ordeal.

The fear of becoming something you don't want to be..
A jutsu she deemed very handy was Suirou no Jutsu (Water Prison Technique) - Illusionary Version. Since strangely enough water was not her element ( she had guessed by now that her parents were probably not native to this country) it would look like it was her element. That could confuse her opponents even more and that's why she would try to learn it. The basic genjutsu she had down, but she wasn't used to performing water style jutsu. It took her a while to make a water prison that actually looked like one, and not water on fire. She was very glad with her progress, but decided she wouldn't learn much of these jutsu. Water was just.. not her thing when it came to jutsu(1/1)
With this jutsu came Suishi Hitokiri (Drowning Assassination) which seemed more diffifult than all the jutsu she had practised before. She read through the scroll very carefully, because she didn't want to wrong anywhere, since she was applying this on herself as well. She knew she could kill someone with a genjutsu and she hadn't planned on commiting suicide. When she finished reading, she let her hands go through the signs some times before she would even think of performing it (1/9)
When she felt confident about the seals and the technique, she began calling for a water prison. When she felt herself in that, she began the seals for the new technique. At first, she felt totally nothing different, but then a weird taste began to find it's way in her throath. It was not suffocation, but like eating something two weeks past date. She spit on the ground before trying again. The taste didn't go away though. (2/9)
Being a little less confident now, Else tried to perform the jutsu again. This time she was so carefull with applying chakra that she noticed nothing. She tried to push herself into doing more, but she was scared the taste would come back and that was really awfull. She could only imagine what Rini sensei would tell her if she saw this. That she shouldn't bring herself down by such a little thing. She sighed and prepared to die.(3/9)
While forming the seals, the kunochi tried to keep a clear mind, and to keep being concentrated. If she wanted to be of any help during this war she better should learn some helpfull techniques like these. Her chakra boomed into the jutsu, and she was suprised the taste didn't came back. Nothing else happened either, so she began applying the chakra in the way the scroll described. She was so caught up in that, that she lost focus of her chakra supply and the jutsu failed. (4/9)
Once more she tried, and this time she actually noticed some difference. It was like she was wearing a scarf that was tied very tight around her neck, making it difficult to breathe and swallow. She tried to make more of it, but couldn't do it at that time. Coming this far was already something. She knew her teacher would be proud of her for this. And Atlas probably too. She hoped he was allright wherever he was(5/9)
Getting the hang of it, Else tried multiple times after eachother now, tightening the clench around her neck more and more. It did became tighter, but she wasn't suffocating and didn't have the feeling she was drowning at all. Just that she wanted to take that scarf off, that was bugging her. (6/9)
Reviewing her attempts, Else figured she had to work more with the water to create a realistic drowning experience. She weaved the two genjutsu's together and actually felt she was inside the water now. She could feel it streaming over her body and weaving through her hair. It was a whole other experience this way. She tried to incorporate the band around her neck, but again, she didn't feel like drowning( 7/9)
Now she had most of it down, she didn't want to give up. She kept trying to get the whole suffocating in water thing right. It should feel like not being able to get enough air, the water destroying your lungs or something. Suddenly, she took a gulp of water and shocked herself. She had done it. She tried again, but didn't succeed in creating the exact same feeling she had earlier.( 8/9)
It seemed like endless, the times she tried, and sometimes the feeling would come back. Else tried to keep it, to hold it longer and to concentrate on it. Eventually she could hold it for a minute or two till five minutes before she lost concentration. This could be her secret technique for now, since there probably wasn't much time left for training anymore (9/9)

Atlas made his way to the front door of the Academy, the pain in his head subsided for now. His palm rested on the door nob, a simple turn of his wrist, a licking sound was herd as he open the door outward, stepping inside the warm building. He felt some peace here, people walking by, some were rushing around the building, preparing for the upcoming war that was about to commence. He never been to something this big, but he hoped that things will go well for him and the village of Mist. He was casually walking through the halls until he came across the one where he had train or just a place to stay. The door was already open, a sigh of relief as he entered the room, a couple of people already here as he just glance at them
Question is, are you up to it?
