I recall writing a semi-horror story about something like that for High School English. Wrote it about a kid more interested in games than anything else, then offered a game by a spirit . . . when he won he was sucked into the game- Mortal Kombat for him. He could either live forever by fighting for his life, or lose and die. His last vision was of Scorpion using his flame skull fatality . . .
Then his mother found his hat stuck halfway through the TV and the spirit said ". . . let me help you get your son back." and she picked up the controller.

Hello peoples~!
I'm Itsu, I'm new to the whole guild bit, but I've been roleplaying for a little while. I'm always looking for the next fun thing to do, and I'm getting a good feeling here.
-shrugs- Got no idea what else I should say so I'm gonna sit here and do nothing.

Lord Maloroth walked into the Guild Hall, looking at all the chatting people. Suddenly, a person appeared out of nowhere and greeted him. "Hi!" The person said. "My name is Magni Prime, and I'm the leader of this guild!"
"Nice to meet you." Lord Maloroth said. "I take it this is the meeting hall?"
"Yessir." Magni Prime replied. "Would you like to introduce yourself?"
"Yes, please."
"Attention everyone! I have a newcomer who would like to introduce himself!" Magni Prime shouted to the Hall. Surprisingly, everyone turned their eyes to Lord Maloroth.
"Uh, hello.." he began tentatively. "My name is Lord Maloroth, and I would like to become a welcome addition to the Guild. I hope I can fit in with the rest of you."
[Note: This is not my usual style of RP. I would never control another person's character like that. Sorry, Magni. blaugh ]
