I can attest to the fact that bigger is not always better as far as cons go - I made the mistake of going to AX last year instead of Fanime...I figured "Why go to the 6th largest con when you can go to THE largest?" As Rei-kakka said, Fanime is medium-sized and uber-friendly - AX is tooooo big - it's crowded like Disneyland, but with lines twice as long (imagine that) - and the volunteers are plain RUDE. We left our program in the hotel room one day, and when we went to the info booth and asked for another, they laughed and told us "You get only one - if you lost it, it sucks to be you!" At Fanime this year, they gave us a guide, a program, a free Final Fantasy artbook, and had a free pile of last year's guides, just for collectors. Shoot, the guide at AX listed all of the animes and movies they were playing, but that's it - not even descriptions to help you decide. Fanime had listings, full descriptions, and pictures. Don't even get me started in the horror that was the viewing room situation at AX...

I graduate tonight, and Chris/Yami graduates thursday.
I'm a night student and we only have to show up once a week at night for 3 hours. He's a part time day student with bi-daily classes.
Chris won't have internet when he goes back home, but i might get insight. it depends on if I can get this job i'm hoping to get.
Hopefully we won't have to do without it to long. I know chris will die a little inside each day without his hentai and all that. If he isn't on gaia he's on some porn site.
I hate not being in a area where i can Wardrive (steal wireless internet) Unlike chris who gets internet free now. At least he won't have wireless where he's going godbless the royal south.

If you're guessing the first half of the dream you're sadly mistaken. Ryoko was more of a touchy-feely thing; I got the real thing in the first half of the dream by... another girl. And as far as Americans/anyone else who isn't Asian using Japanese laptops... if you can use them good for you, but I have a friend that got one a year or two ago and she's crying about it now. The only good feature I can think of in my limited knowledge and experience with Japanese computers is you could probably use a decent language typing tool on it. Great if you've got a Japanese girlfriend, sorta pointless otherwise lol. But they are pretty cool. My friend has a thumb scanner on it, so it only opens with her thumb... or a crowbar. Or her severed thumb... maybe you don't want people getting the wrong idea... TLDR? sweatdrop

Actually if you don't clean your thumbprint scanner all they need is a smooth surface thumb, like something plastic, and then press it. It'll register as HER thumb print, because that's the only print on here, and since it has no print of itself...it'll only register HER thumb print. I learned that from watching Burn Notice.
Riiiight. Whatever you say Chibi...
Actually it was a pain. It wouldn't go to English youtube, and it would sometimes have stuff underlined for no apparent reason, like to translate stuff. Then it would give me problems when trying to erase stuff and other issues. Not to mention the layout of the various symbols are a lot different then what I was used to. Blech

I had a scary dream last night, Naoki was driving me up this mountain in his truck and when he went around a sharp curve he powerslid around the corner and the truck went backwards, broke the wall barrier, and the back of the vehicle began inching off the cliff!!! GAH!!! gonk
When I think about it, the problem must've been that he was driving a Japanese style car (steering wheel on the right) on American roads (opposite directions in Japan). Maybe. Scared the poo outta me in my dream burning_eyes
See, my dreams aren't always full of flowers and women. They are painful too gonk In a totally non-emo way though.
