Elyon's eyes widened and then narrowed. "Then what was with that kiss?" she asked in a low whisper so that the elf, hopefully couldn't hear. "If you hate humans so much why did you kiss me?" she asked, still in that low tone.
Laura, unable to stand it, shifted into her human form and stood up, tears forming at her eyes. "So you think, I'm no different from anyone else? You don't trust me enough to tell me your secret? I've waited for a while for you to tell me Rollan. I knew you had a secret but I didn't know what it was, but I was patient, thinking that one day you'll come and tell me, but it seems that the only way I was ever going to find out was like this . . . pure chance . . . GoodBYE Rollan!" she said and, the tears pouring out now, turned on her heel and ran, evenutally changing into a fox to run even faster and escape.
Coryn stared at the girl and when she ran off he looked at Rollan with a bit of worry, wondering how his younger brother was going to take it.

Kolan blanched at the question, the first real blush of his human existence bleeding into his face darkly, "I.." He scowled, "I thought you were going to run away, what else was I supposed to do." This time he crossed his arms, seeming sullen with the blush still staining his cheeks.
Karelym had indeed heard, elven hearing was like that, but she made no move to tease them..not while things were progressing so nicely, she smiled to herself.
Rollan went deathly pale upon hearing her, watching her speak..seeing tears in those beautiful eyes.."Laura!" The other ran and for a moment he watched, hurt and surprise written on his expression as a tear trickled down his cheek. He looked to Coryn and for a moment it seemed he might collapse, but then he let out an anguished howl, loud and ringing through the forest before he shifted into wolf form and ran after Laura.
He could smell her..he was getting closer..and then something in the scent changed abruptly, the same..and yet different..so caught up was he that fate deemed a second time that he should plunge head first into love...or in other words, run into Laura again. The wolf and fox rolled, and by his own instincts, he managed to take the damage onto himself, ending up with him on his back and the fox on his chest, his paws out to the sides. He whimpered, having recieved several scratches from that little roll..and then he looked to the fox, sniffing as his eyes widened and he saw her eyes..those beautiful, stormy eyes.."Laura," he spoke in disbelief, knowing she'd understand now, "You're..a fox?"

Laura was sobbing. "I was going to tell you after you told me your secret! But you were never planning on telling me were you?! I'm obviously not special enough to merit your trust!" she said, a bit of anger as well as hurt and sadness creeping into her voice, she was unable to look Rollan in the eyes, feeling that she'd only be hurt again . . . seeing the eyes that had misled her with their warmth . . . and mystery . . .
Elyon scowled back. "That's a stupid reason. If you hate me like you say you do, then why in the world would you kiss me if you thought I was going to run away? That doesn't make sense at all!" she hissed out, propping herself up on her elbows.

Kolan's lips twitched, still scowling, "I..don't know! I thought you were going to run away and I'd never see you again..it just..seemed right! I don't know!"
Rollan could hear the sadness and hurt alongside the bit of anger, "Oh Laurel.." He said in a soft growl. Shifting, he sat up slowly, taking Laura into his arms and cradling her, as careful and gentle to her as she was to him when he was a wolf.
Rollan pressed a kiss to Laura's head, rocking back and forth and holding her close, one hand stroking the top of her head, "It's not like that, Laura..don't you see..? You're my treasure..what I look forward to..I love the way you laugh..and the way your eyes light up when your happy, or mad..the way you get excited..and your smile..that beautiful smile..and that voice of yours, when you sing I could cry..it's so beautiful..you're so beautiful..you're the most precious, fragile, wonderful thing I've ever.."
He didn't have her though did he.."Laurel..everything about you..I was afraid, that I would lose you too..I couldn't bear it, the thought of being without you hurt me to my very core..I wanted to tell you..to share it with you, I really did, Laura..and the only reason I didn't just go off and tell you..was because I cared so much..because I didn't want to risk hurting you or pushing you away..and I'm so sorry you got hurt anyway..Laura..I love you, with all my heart, will all my soul..you're what I dream about at night, and what I wake up longing for...the person I miss..I want to hear you laugh, and see you smile...I wanna be the one who makes you do those things..I want to protect you..and be there for you..I love you.." Rollan set Laura down, awaiting her response...

Laura sat back looking up at Rollan, her ears laid back and tears still flowing from her eyes. She shifted and looked at him, the tears not ceasing and then she practically launched herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck, crying into his shoulder. "Rollan . . ." she cried, repeating his name quite a few times.
Elyon rolled her eyes but decided to drop it. "Well can you get off of me 'Mr. I kissed a girl I hate and thought I would never see again just because it felt right'? I really do want to get some sleep in tonight and I can't if you're going to be sitting there all night." she said giving him a mild glare.

Rollan watched as the fox looked at him, ears back and tears in her eyes. And then she shifted, launching herself at him as arms came around his neck. His own arms instantly wrapped around her, holding her tightly and resting his lips on his head before murmering, "Shh..I'm here, Laurel, it's okay..I'm right here, I'll always be right here.." Rollan tightened his grip, not wanting to part from the wonderful being in his arms.
Kolan hissed at that, "See? You humans are the same.." He released her with a look of disgust, wiping his hands as though dirtied. "I'll be certain not to come near you again, lest you be further confused," Kolan said mockingly.

Elyon sat up and looked at Kolan, utterly confused. "You know what? I don't like how you are all friendly and nice to me but then turn and become and ice king. I'm not sure I want to be around a person, or dragon, who switches moods like that." she said and in a huff got up and moved her fur to a far corner and lay down on it, her back facing Kolan. To her surprise a tear trickled down her cheek and she was puzzled as she wiped it away. Why am I crying? she wondered.
Slowly Laura calmed down and the tears diminished. She buried her head into his shoulder, taking in his scent, the feel of having his arms around her . . . She took a shuddering breath, trying to calm down even more . . . "I love you too Rollan . . ." she whispered and looked up at him, once more getting lost in his wonderfully mysterious, warm, green eyes.

Kolan rolled his eyes at her words and said snidely, "Actually, I'm the fire king, but thanks for that bit of useless information." He watched her move in a huff..and then scented a tear..the girl was crying? "Bloody Lower World," he grumbled. "What are you crying for? You act like my personality is something new. Only a fool would take it personally."
Rollan felt his love calming down..and then heard words that made him grin with glee. "Laurel," he said softly.."By the Gods..you're an angel," he leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers, feeling her warmth against him through his grin.

Elyon bared her teeth, though there was nothing to bare at since she was still facing away from Kolan. "I'm NOT crying." she hissed out. "And I have only known you for not even a day, so I am very much a stranger to your personality! Not to mention you have shown me two entirely different sides of yourself, and I honestly don't know which one is you!" she said and then pulled the fur over her as if that was all she had to say, and she wasn't going to hear or say anything more.
Laura smiled and then felt his lips press against her. Her eyes closed slowly, a few remaining tears falling from her eyelashes as she kissed him back lovingly.

(WAHHH! My comp froze and ate my post. *sigh* o-O Holy snarglecopters! We can so do that, pshaw! Piece of..cookie cake!)
Kolan knew the other was upset and sighed, not knowing why it bothered him..why the thought of her crying was...unpleasant to him. He stood and brought his fur with him, tossing it to the ground as he crouched by Elyon and leaned so that he was looking at her with his head upside down, his legs behind her back. "You are crying," he said with soft annoyance, reaching a hand to brush away her tears. "I'm me, Elyon. That's all I can be..if you're going to..'protect me from myself'..then you'll have to understand that..and I'll try..to remember that you aren't..the same as the other humans..okay?" Kolan had a faint blush on his cheeks, frowning irritably.
Rollan pressed closer as he kissed her, wanting to keep her close to him always before he pulled a bit away, keeping their foreheads pressed together as he murmered with a smile, "You make a cute fox by the way, Laurel." Rollan kissed her nose softly.
(Poor Elyon..she has her hands full X_X)

Laura smiled and gently rubbed her nose against his. "Well you make a very hansome wolf . . ." she said softly before kissing his nose, like he had done to her. She then pulled back and giggled, somehow finding her own actions funny.
Elyon frowned back. "This is what I mean. You're yelling at me and saying you hate me one minute, and then your acting really nice to me the next. Why can't you just pick one and stick to it?" she said, saying the last part with a bit of a frustrated sigh, closing her eyes so she wouldn't have to look at his cute, blushing . . . she did not just think his face was cute.

Rollan grinned at that, "Rarr." As she giggled, he felt his heart swell.."By the Gods..I love that giggle.." With a low growl in his throat, he came forward and caught her by the lips, unable to help but kiss the girl that drove him so wild..
Kolan made a groan of irritation, 'collapsing' as it were so that he was over her with his stomache on her side, face buried in the fur..after a moment, he rose and rather than move off her side, he leaned against her and propped himself up with his right elbow on the fur and his hand against his face. "Look. Okay. I know..I..am..moody," to put it mildly,"But you know I hate humans..and you kind of know why..and it's hard to think of a human differently when I've thought of them one way so long..or anyone, I'm not a friendly guy, okay? I'm not charming like Coryn, or affectionate like Rollan..I'm just me, and I've never..I.."
He groaned again, closing his eyes and rubbing his temple before he grumbled, "I've never kissed anyone before, I've never even wanted to, Elyon. I don't understand it, and that irritates me. I have a temper. I know it. And if you can't..handle that..then..you aren't the 'one for the job' as you put it..okay?" Kolan sighed, moving instead to set his body beside her and lay his neck on her side, his head on her stomache as he closed his eyes with a light growl.

Elyon looked at him and blinked a bit. "So . . . I was your first?" she asked, not really paying attention to anything else he said after his sentence about the kiss.

Laura giggled again at his sentence but it was cut off by him kissing her again. Her eyes opened wide before closing slowly, kissing him back.

(o-o sounds like..and AHHHHHH! NOOOOOOOO! YOU FIEND! You dare give out cookies?! I AM THE COOKIE FAIRY! *cries* job-stealerer! *hugglez career path*)
Kolan froze for a moment, before letting out a low hiss, "You..you irritating! AGH!" He growled angrily, moving away and plopping down on the fur, curling up and not wanting to speak to her. He'd just said some of the most personal words of his life, and the little twit only cared about being his first kiss! Infuriating..ridiculous..cowardly..lovely little..wait..lovely? Arg! Kolan buried his face into the fur and gave a small roar into it.
Rollan heard the giggle stop as he kissed her, lingering a moment before pulling away with a smile. He began kissing from her lips up to her cheek bone..and then worked his way down to her neck as he murmered with each kiss, "I love you."

Elyon looked over at him with confusion. "What'd I say?" she muttered, blinking a bit, wondering what had caused his outburst before laying back down and closing her eyes, falling asleep only moments later.
Laura tilted her neck to give him more access to it, biting her lip to keep back a moan that was building up in her throat.
Unknown to either of them, the entire scene was witnessed by Coryn who stayed hidden by remaining in his human form . . . suddenly his time ran out and he changed into a dragon, becoming horribly obvious. "Of all the times for the two hours to end . . ." he muttered angrily.
