One of my cats today after I brought home a new bag of food and didn't immediately open it to put in their bowl:
I heard weird noises from the bathroom (where we keep their food, water, and litterbox) and went to investigate, turned the light on to find Shima staring up at me. Asked him what he thought he was doing, and he started yelling at me. Told him he could wait, he could eat his food, and I'm pretty sure if he could respond it would have been with "That's what I'm TRYING to do!" because when I looked at the new food bag, turned out the weird noises were from him trying to chew through the bag... So now I have the food locked up in the plastic bin that I use to keep them from feeding themselves in that exact manner, after emptying the old bag into their bowl. But that still wasn't good enough for Shima, he kept shouting and doing his pinchy-bitey thing that means he wants my attention until I put a little of the new stuff in the bowl.
REALLY hope this food works out, it's a different brand from normal, but it's cheaper than what we usually buy them, and if I can save five dollars a bag with this stuff, it will be a happy day. (Their usual is expensive grain free stuff because the last time we tried anything cheaper they tried to paint the apartment with rainbow vomit.) Just have to wait and see if they start barfing all over the apartment more than usual.
