Any time he says Asura, I assume he means the main character of Asura's Wrath.
>_> Who is just trying to get his kidnapped daughter back.
<_< He may or may not level the universe in doing so.

Yuuup. He literally rages enough to come back from death a few times until he saves her, so it's like the very definition of the Determinator. And also a good dad. v.v b

Eeeeeeeeeexactly. ^^b
As opposed to, say, Kratos from God of War. Who's got the same rage-filled return from death, but without any redeeming characteristics. XD

Kratos: I killed my family! Raaaawwwggghhhh! *Murders everything they ever liked*
*Including, but not limited to, meeting them in Elysium, and then murdering their ghosts.*

And let's not forget basically trying to kill everything else on the planet because he couldn't fess up and admit the fact that it was his fault he murdered them. He was so determined to kill stuff that he never checked what he was killing. = w= Stupid.
@Yami: What? o.O It's true. I played the three console games, and while I was okay with the combat system and the puzzles, the character himself sucked. He basically never stops being an angry emo. He does not grow or change in any way, he just goes and kills everyone who gets in his way as revenge for something that was his fault to begin with.

The first game was justified, and there was some catharsis because he was killing the guy who made him kill his family. And the Gods are like "We can't bring your family back, but we can make you a god instead. Maybe super powers will ease your suffering?".
The rest are just like...facepalm. I mean, in the second Kratos is still so pissed about his family being dead he's shoving around other gods and making threats, so of course they turn on him. Then he's all like "Oooh, well even though this was justified since I've been an amazing a**, let me just go ahead and declare revenge on you, even though I started all of this!"
And then in the third game he finishes it, not to mention in the second game the Titans agreed to help him kill the Gods who he had wronged in the first place, only the Titans go "We've got this, you sit this one out", so he murders both groups.
And then there's the brain meltingly simple plots of the games on the handhelds. Basically... "Someone's at war with Sparta!" Kratos: RRAGLHGHGHGGHGHGLKHLJDGH:ADLKGDLKHGDKLGH!!!! *Kills everything*

@Rednal: That face means lots of things for me. Like "Well, okay", "Guh, I'm bored and I don't know what to do.", "What am I going to do with myself now?" "Murrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..." "Alright, whatever floats your boat, I'll just be here laying upside down and giving no opinion in the matter."
...yep. There's your translation for my " .-. " face.

Well the literal translation of the ".-." face is just, "I'm drawing back into my shell now."
It's normally used because you said something stupid and someone responded hard like a jerk, or because someone said something really stupid, but really believes it, and you don't want to argue with them despite they're idiocy. >.>
I'm just saying that's what it's normally used for though, I'm not trying to contradict you or anything. Please don't bite my head off. .-.

@Ryo: In fairness, Spartans raging over threats to Sparta are probably in-character.
I much prefer the Greek Deities in the WebMage series. I mean, Eris is crazy awesome (and just plain crazy), and Persephone, well... let's just say "non-standard portrayal".
@Yami: .-.
