Did you guys know that cats chirp at birds? Both of mine do it. It's a reflex that happens in their throat when they see something they want to hunt, but it sounds just like they're chirping. They also sit up tall on their back legs like little groundhogs to look out the window at them.

So, the sufganiyot that I made were okay, but not great. So much for the new recipe. I'll stick with the tried-and-true recipes from now on.

And tonight, I think I'll make latkes. I'm great at latkes.
