I'm afraid of sunburn. I don't tan, I burn. Everytime. xd
And the reason I'm like uber-afraid of sunburn is that when I was 11, I went to Biloxi, Mississippi for spring break. We were in the Imperial Palace hotel/casino right on the Gulf of Mexico. So we went out there one day for some all-day beach fun. Of course, my grandma (my grandparents had come along) made sure I was all sunblocked up every hour. Were out for about six hours in the sun... And finally we went back to the hotel.
When I got back, my back itched really bad. And I scratched it hard. Worst. Idea. Ever. I screamed at the top of my lungs. Turns out the sunscreen my grandma used... wasn't waterproof! biggrin Horrible, horrible things happened. The drive home was hell, and the first night we got home, my mom had the smartest idea to put aloe gel on it. Got in my PJs and went to bed. Around 4am, I had to pee (I was sleeping on my stomach since my back was like "D:") I get up and realize my shirt was sticking to my back.
Tried to pull it off but it wouldn't budge. So I told my parents, who told me to lie face-down on their bed. My mom gripped the bottom and said "If you have to, yell into my pillow honey. Don't want to wake your brother up." (He's four years older than me.) "One... two-- *tear*" You know the sound that velcro makes? Just amplify that a couple decibels and you got the sound. Let's just say I used the pillow... I s**t you not, that gel got almost an entire layer of skin torn off my back. When we turned it inside out, the skin was just stuck to the shirt. I was just like "AHHHHHH!!!" ...In the pillow of course. Just so freaked out of my mind...
Anyway! That's why I always make sure I have waterproof sunscreen. That velcro sound still haunts me... crying

This one time, when I was like... 7... I spent all day out at the beach, no sun screen, because us, Russians, are too cool for Sun screen. So, yeah, I got a pretty bad burn. But I took it like a man. No gels, no lotions, nothing. I suffered the burn, as did my best friend, and then WITH our burns, we fought over a girl. That was fun. xd Ah, good times.
