Rust found a comfortable spot to nap under a tree and he sat there, pulling Estelle down with him and letting her use him as a warm pillow. Now that they were both werewolves, they both had higher body temperatures, and therefore, having Estelle up against him was no longer cold. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes, but he had no intention of sleeping. He could not take any more nightmares, and that was all that seemed to form in his sleeping mind. He looked down at Estelle, "Comfy?"

Estelle followed Rust under the tree, watching as streams of sunlight glittered down from between the tree branches. It all felt too perfect; she felt so relaxed and was overwhelmingly grateful for it all. She laid down against Rust, feeling his breathing and inhaling his lovely scent. She curled up into him and sighed happily, nuzzling her head against him. "Mhm. You?"

Rust readjusted his shoulders a bit, then smiled down at her, "Yes. quite comfortable." He settled in, but tried his bast not to fall asleep. It worked for a while, but sitting still with Estelle's warmth beside him eventually got the better of his sleep deprived mind and he dozed.

Rust was being shaken awake. He opened his eyes and looked up at Bongo. "Wake up, time for some training." He said, shaking Estelle's shoulder next. "C'mon, while the sun's still up and we have the time." Rust looked around and wondered how long they had been asleep. Judging by the sun, there were a few hours left until sunset. He looked down at Estelle and waited for her to wake.

Estelle had drifted off to sleep immediately, her head filling with random obscure dreams about running through the forest in the middle of night. They were all rather pointless and sort of hazy, so she barely remembered them when she woke up.
She felt someone shaking her shoulder and she slowly opened her eyes, what was left of the sunlight stinging her eyes. She rubbed her eyes tenderly and blinked, looking up at Rust and Bongo and for a moment forgetting where she was. Yawning, she sat up and rolled her shoulders back. "Hiya, Bongo," she greeted him with the voice of a little child that had just woken from a nap.

Bongo smiled slightly at the cute awakening of Estelle, "Time for training you sleepy heads." He turned and walked to the edge of the clearing, stopping briefly to talk with Garrett.

Rust waited for Estelle to wake up more and get up off of him before standing and stretching his spine. It popped nicely and he grinned, feeling the tension release in his vertebrae. He wrapped his arms around Estelle in a gentle hug, "Sleep well my dear?"

Name: Ekkheardt Weinbrenner

Age:26

Personality: On the surface Ekkheardt seems an enthusiastic and likable fellow, always waiting with a compliment and a smile. Dig a little deeper, however, and you come face to face with a dark, twisted mind, quick to exploit any weakness to get what he wants and unwilling to take no as an answer. He is quick and cunning, and able to read most people like a book, using their insecurities against them. On the other hand, his deep parinoid schizophrenia leads him to making brash decisions when under stress.

Bio: Born in Germany, Ekkheardt's father was a salesman, traveling town to town with a wagon full of mostly useless junk, convincing people of its supposed value and selling it at ridiculous rates. Do to the constant traveling, and his fathers paranoia, Ekkheardt was forbidden to have friends, and his loneliness was broken only by the gear-powered trinkets he put together from scrap in the wagon. Things continued like this for a few years, until Britain invaded. Amidst the chaos of the war, Ekkheardt took the opportunity and slipped away from his father disappearing among the throngs of refugees trying desperately to escape the burning country. A month later, now 15, Ekkheardt found himself in the Americas. He tried honest work, trying his hand at several different occupations until one, a watchmakers apprentice, finally stuck. He worked hard for little pay building intricate and detailed watches and taking pride in his work. That is, until his master met a traveling merchant who was selling a clockwork machine that could produce wice the number of watches in half the time and Ekkheardt found himself tossed on the street again. Angry and vengeful, he snuck into the old mans shop in the middle of the night, intent not on theft or murder, but on ruining the man from within. A few days latter, a young man come by the shop and took a shine to one particular time piece, paying on the spot. Winding it up, he wore it proudly on his breast pocket, until the clock struck six, and the powerfull springs, wound deadly tight, exploded, ripping a hole in the mas chest and stopping his heart. The watchmaker was ruined, as it was his new machine that seemingly killed the young boy. Ekkheard, satisfied with his revenge, left town. Four years later, he found himself employed at a traveling circus, his clockwork creations dazzling audiences around the United states. It wasn't long until the owner suffered a "misshap" and Ekkheardt found himsself in charge of the entire show. Now,years later, the remaining members are held under his thumb, always under the watchful eyes of his machines. He always looking for new members!

Estelle's lips pulled up into a smile when she realized it was time to train; for some reason she was rather excited to get started. She rubbed her eyes and got slowly to her feet, blinking away the haze of the nap and her dizziness. Feeling much better than before, she turned to Rust and nuzzled into his familiar embrace. "Mhm, much better than I thought I would," she replied chipperly with a small yawn, stretching her arms up and then hugging him again. "I'm ready to get started on whatever this training entails." she added, a glitter in her topaz eyes.

Bongo

Rust rolled his shoulders, loosening up after sitting for so long. He took Estelle's hand and followed Bongo. When Bongo saw the two approaching, he finished up his one sided conversation, as Garrett was as silent as ever, and motioned for them to follow him into the trees.

They walked a little ways, not too far, but far enough to escape the distractions of the rest of the pack. Bongo turned to them, "Alright, stand side by side, and we'll start with the basics. First, as you know, us werewolves cannot change whenever we want. Only by the three phases of the full moon can out beast forms come out." He motioned to the rising moon, still waning from it's last full cycle. "You have about 24 more days to get this under control. Newborns and newly bitten often have problems controlling their beast for the first few cycles, but with proper conditioning, we can shorten that." He looked at the two of them, making sure they were absorbing all of this. "Now, we may not be able to transform without the moon, but we can use some of the minor abilities available to us like better sight at night, better sense of smell, and hearing. That's what we are going to focus on tonight."

Estelle trailed after Rust, holding his hand with hers and not letting go when she stood beside him. She listened to Bongo intently, taking in everything he was saying, absorbing everything like a sponge. The evening air was so thin, she could practically feel the tense rush of it against her skin, and the calm cool breeze through the trees. Everything she sensed was heightened, enhanced, clearer even. Suddenly, she thought of something and the eager smile on her face shrunk a little. "Um, what happens when we change, if I may ask? What does it... what does it feel like?" Though Estelle was trying her best to be excited with this new found thing in her life, she couldn't help wanting to know what path was set ahead of her.

Bongo

Bongo opened his mouth to continue his lecture when Estelle asked her question. His mouth snapped closed, then he looked at Rust. Rust's eyes were on the ground, and Bongo could tell the young pack member was remembering his first shift. He cleared his throat, "It's a bit different for everyone, but initially, the first shift is the worst. Your body in not used to it, and it'll be rough." He spoke truthfully. He saw o good in sugar coating this situation. "The more you can control the beast, the less abrupt you can make your shifts, and therefore, less painful. After a while, you get used to it, and it becomes second nature." He came up to them, "What happens when we shift is out body takes on the form of the beast. It is the only time during the month for it to have reign over out body. When it comes in control, the body must remold itself to suit it. Bones break and reform, you grow fur in place of hair, and in places you didn't have it before." Looking up to the moon, he paused to let the info sink in, then continued. "Some who have mastered their beast, found a way to become perfectly in sync with it, have been known to be able to control their shifts completely. Meaning, during the full cycle of the moon, they can choose when they want to shift, and how much they want to shift. They have that much control. I am nowhere near that level, but when you learn all I can teach you, and you wish to continue, you may talk to Garrett. He's very close to being that much in control." he took his place back where he had started, "Alright, enough history. You ready to start training?"

Estelle listened to each word he said as if it was the most important information she would hear for a while. Much of it sounded as she had imagined he would explain it, especially the part about it being a bit different for everyone. Everyone's bodies were different, and therefore, such a drastic change would probably vary with different effects. As he continued to explain, she found herself more frightened and intrigued than before. When he finished the rant, her rose-colored lips pulled up into a small smile and she nodded quickly. "Yup. Thanks," she added.

Rust listened, though he already knew what it was like to shift. It had not been pleasant. When the explanation was through, he was more than ready for whatever Bongo was going to teach.

"Alright, first, lets work on listening. You probably have already noticed how much better you can hear, but if you focus, you can hear even more clearly, as well as be able to tell which way the noise is coming from, what direction it's moving, and how fast it's going. For example, there is a rabbit and two mice nearby, as well as an owl. The owl is probably going to go after one of them, but can you figure out which one, and where they are?" He cocked his head, closing his eyes and dropping his voice to a whisper, "Focus on only your hearing."

Rust copied Bongo, closing his eyes and tilting his head slightly. He heard something, the soft skittering of the two mice. they seemed to be fighting, or maybe they were mating... He could not tell.

Bongo watched the two, glad that they would finally be making progress. Suddenly, a sharp, extremely high pitched noise split through the air, and Bongo shouted in surprise and pain. Clutching his head, He heard the howls of pain from all of the other werewolves back at camp. He looked up to see is Rust and Estelle were alright, but blacked out before he could call to them.

Rust was listening to the rodents run about when a sudden and painful noise hit his ears. He too clutched his head, "Estelle! C-cover your ears!!" But it was too late. Rust collapsed just as Bongo had.

As the last of the howls died around the camp, a figure stepped out from the tree-line. He was tall and slim, dressed in a tight-fitting tailcoat, a fedora tilted sightly on his forehead. He swung a silver cane in lazy circles as he walked his narrow eyes drifting among the fallen scattered around the camp. Stopping a half-dozen meters from the edge of the encampment he brought his fingers to his lips, and whistled a long, loud note before dropping his hands. A dozen men and women melted from the trees and dashed into the clearing. Each was wearing a black and red stripped jumpsuit, boots and masks that portrayed varying emotions. Each also carried a length of rope and a large square of netting wrapped across their chests. They broke off into pairs, each hog-tying the unconscious forms and wrapping them in the nets.

Soon all the unfortunate victims were set in a row at the front of the camp as a pair of wagons bundled out of the trees. They were loaded up as Ekkheardt watched intently. These new additions, including the Trio that had gone off deeper into the woods, would put The Ekkheart Clockwork's Circus of Oddities on the map. He could already see the bright lights of New York, his name headlining the biggest theaters. It can...no will be glorious, he thought, a wicked smile splitting his lips.

A few hours later, the wagons moved out to the outskirts of a small village, where a small city of tents had been erected. In the moonlight, they looked almost cloud-like with a great peak of red and black looking for all the world like a mountain top looming above them. Ekkehard sighed contently at his Ringleader tent before stepping off the lead wagon. He turned around and saw the dozen masked minions peak out from various corners of the wagons. "Load each of our new guests into separate cages." he ordered. The masks disappeared as the wagons made their way to a collection of small tent set snugly against the side of the main attraction. Soon the effects of the whistles should wear off, and our guests will find themselves quite comfortable in their new...enclosures. And if they are not? Ah well. He whistled as he made his way to his own tent.

Estelle stood quite still for a moment, listening intently to their surroundings. The calm whisper of the breeze, and the animal noises Bongo had mentioned earlier, though they seemed quite muffled at first. Just as she tried listening harder, a loud high pitched noise of some sort stabbed her ears and she doubled over onto the ground. She looked over and watched in horror as Bongo screamed bloody murder and collapsed. Where was it coming from?! She attempted lamely to stand up, but was knocked back down by the intense vibrations of the noise. Just after this, she passed out as the others had, clutching her head, tears of pain streaming down her cheeks.

When Estelle awoke next, she was quite alone, and her ears were still ringing slightly from the earlier mishap. Her eyes were dry and sticky, and it took a moment to rub them and blink profusely to better see. It was dark, and her vision was still blurred from her own pathetic tears, but she reached out into the cloud of black and felt something hard... an iron bar of some sort. She sat up quickly and winced, feeling dizziness hit her hard like a train.

When she realized she was completely alone, and caged up like an animal none the less, her first instinct was to call for Rust. "Rust!" she screamed, or rather squealed, scrambling to her knees and clutching the cage bars. "Rust? B-Bongo?" Her lower lip trembled but she did her best to remain calm.
