Nice start, but the different pieces aren't that distinct from each other, and it makes the whole thing confusing Try using solid pieces of black and red and have them "bordered" or "framed" by the other color to make it stand out more.
(I realize I'm breaking my own advice though. xD )
And the scarf doesn't match at all.
