The three pokemon had stuck together, still running trying to get farther into the plains, where some of the better training is, wanting to get stronger so they could battle along side Cronis's stongest pokemom. Getting farther in, Xander slowed down and stopped, putting his head lower to the ground he started to growl. Murk and Burnt stopped a ways away, realizing their friend wasn't with them still, turning around the two trotted back to him, the growling had died down, he was back to sniffing the ground.

The scent was getting stronger now, the air was getting tense between the three pokemon, unsure of what they where going to find up ahead, and not recognizing the human scent mixed in with the strong fire dog scent.
