After a quick meal, Robert began breaking down the tent and gathering his gear together in order to resume the hike. "Alright, let's get some stretching done before we head off. We've got alot of ground to cover girls." Robert said with a smile. Then, Lotus began sniffing the air before then starting to head off in one direction, her nose following the ground. "Huh? Did you pick up something Lotus?" Robert asked as he threw on his backpack. Lotus gave a single 'Breon." Before continuing where she wanted to lead Robert. Robert followed behind with Gaden on his shoulder. "Gaden, I want you to search for the minds of wild pokemon. We don't want to get too close, just close enough to see what they are first before I go and try to befriend them." Robert said. His meathods of catching were different than most trainers. He perfered to befreind pokemon and battle only if the wild pokemon attacked first or wanted to battle to make him prove himself as a trainer.

The trio slowed down, the scent was so fresh they couldn't of been more then a minute away. Almost coming to a complete standstill, there was rustling and growling ahead behind some bushes. The group slinked forward stealthily, stopping just before the bushes, Murk glared at Xander as Burnt made her way almost noiselessly, not being as graceful as his companions, she didn't want to risk him breaking any twigs alerting their quarry.

Robert and his pokemon came to a halt as Gaden mentioned she had picked up the feel of a pokemon mind nearby. Robert knelt down, not wanting to startle whatever it was they had found. Robert would move in slowly until he could see what it was Lotus and Gaden had found. he took out his Kelpsy Berry. If he could approach the pokemon on friendly terms, he could give the berry to it and make it more friendly to him, even if it meant it would very slightly decrease the pokemon's attack power.

Xander sat down just before the bush, tense and ready in case there was any need for him. Murk slid forward under the bushes coming up next to Burnt both of them peered onto a rather interesting and dangerous sight. A pack of Houndooms and Houndours, the most dangerous aspect of this was that there was food involved, more precisely a rather battered and old looking bag of potato chips. The pack consisted of 14 pokemon, 5 of them being Houndooms, the rest Houndour. A loud snarl lead to the attention of two of the dooms who seemed to have gotten into a tussle, fighting just beside the bag of chips. Murk narrowed her eyes, this was not good, and some of the fire dogs looked pretty strong, she wasn't sure if the three of them could take the pack, or even just the five Houndooms. She decided to sit back and watch for now, there was no danger to anyone right now, besides the two dooms that were fighting.

Robert watched from a different vantage point, he and his two girls staying downwind of the pack. This wasn't good at all. The pack looked vicious, and what was worse, if any pokemon, wild or tamed were to get too close, they would be in a boatload of trouble. All three of them remained behind a boulder, watching by peering from the sides of the boulder, unaware of the other trainer and her pokemon. Putting away his berry, Robert instead took out his Fire Ball. If any wild fire type pokemon was unfortunate enough to stumble upon the pack, Robert would have to be able to act fast to catch and save it before the pack decided to tear into the intruder.

Xander was getting rather impatient and started pacing, waiting for the other two to give him some kind of news. Getting to impatient he decided to go after them, justifying it as him going and seeing if they're alright. Just as he crawled up next to the other two, his paw stepped on a twig and broke it. Murk and Burnt turned their heads to him and quietly growled. Murk remembering the danger in front of them turned back to the fight, only to find the whole pack was looking their way. Color draining from the three pokemons faces, they quickly backed out of the bushes, looking at each other warily, wondering what to do.

Robert watched as all of the pack seemed to focus thier attention in the direction opposite of him. Something grabbed thier attention it seemed. Taking out a pair of binoculars, he scanned to see what it was. He could make out the head of an oddly colored Luxray. Luxrays aren't native to here, and that coloration isn't natural. It has to belong to someone. Not much I can do at the moment. Those Houdours and Houndooms are partially dark types. Gaden wouldn't be able to hurt them, and there's too many for Lotus to handle. Robert thought to himself. He needed to wait and see if the owner was anywhere around.

Picking up a stone, Robert viewed the surroundings. There were some bushes a little ways away from the Luxray and the pack that threatened it. With a quick toss, Robert threw the stone at the hopefully uninhabited bush in order to try and draw attention away form the Luxray while keeping himself hidden behind the boulder. It would at least buy the pokemon a head start.

The pack stopped what they where doing and looked over at the other bush. After a few seconds Alpha motioned his head for the two to continue to circle and to have the other two Houndooms check out the noise.

Cronis took a swig of water from a bottle, still looking for her pokemon. I'm going to kill them for this... The three had taken off on her once they had gotten to the plains, knowing that they could fend for themselves it still annoyed her that they had left her alone out here... well she rethought that, she wasn't actually alone she thought as her hands lightly brushed the three pokeballs who's occupants were still in the balls, she never went anywhere without at least one of them on her belt. The balls held her three most powerful pokemon, just in case she got into a tight spot that the pokemon she was training at the time couldn't handle, something she was well known for, she always had bad luck with trouble, it seemed to follow her. Sighing she continued on, after a few minutes she squinted, thinking she saw something in the distance, hopeful she broke out into a run. Coming onto the sight she saw the trio, sighing in relief before she got angry again There you three are! Do you know how long I've been looking for you... Growling from both sides of her pokemon made her trail off. There where two big Houndooms on either side of them. Gulping her hand subconsciously went to one of the remaining pokeballs on her belt, hesitating she thought better, she'd call one of them out if the situation needed it, she wanted to see how well these three could do, even with Burnts type disadvantage.

Briefly pondering how she could blame this situation on her bad luck, Cronis got ready to give her pokemon orders. But before she could manage to utter a single word, one of the Houndooms leaped towards her, teeth bared, sharp nails positioned to maul her. Cronis's life seemed to reflect in the eyes of her impending doom, when it was just centimeters away, some force knocked it to the side, causing the fire dog to get a mouthful of dirt and dead grass, knocked out for the second. There crouching where her death had been was Murk, she had used Giga Impact and slammed into the Houndooms side to divert it from her master and friend. Cronis gave her a quick hug as a thanks and quickly straightened again to direct her other two pokemon. Murk needing a few minutes to recharge Burnt and Xander ran over to stand in between her and the remaining Houndoom, wanting to get rid of it before the other woke up.

Robert looked through his binoculars agian. Two of the Houndooms weren't there anymore. "This is odd. Let's try to get closer, but not too close." Robert spoke as they began to creep out from behind the boulder and over to another boulder. it wasn't as large as the one he was behind before, but it was still downwind. He still had no idea what the Electric pokemon was doing or if the pack would make thier attack once they were no longer distracted by the noise he created when he threw a stone into a bush opposite of the pack and the Luxray. He still didn't know about the human girl or the other two pokemon there. Just then, Gaden blinked. There's a human presence further ahead master. I'm feeling frieghtened emotions from the human. Robert blinked at gaden. "That doesn't sound good. And we've got a pack between us and the person and Luxray ahead of us. We're going to have to move carefully." Robert spoke quietly to Gaden and Lotus. Robert began moving as quietly as he could towards the group while keeping an eye on the pack.
