Still kicking. Home until January, which I was enjoying. Unfortunatly my dog is sick, and he's having surgery on Thursday. I have to stay home with him, make sure he gets his medication every 4 hours.

Oh, that stinks. I've been studying for exams for a while, so I haven't been on gaia for a while. But I took my last one today, and I'm out of school till the second of January. blaugh

Fun fun! I lucked out this semester, my finals weren't that terrible. Wrote a 20 page paper about ancient poetry which was... thrilling. Not really. But I survive.

Luckily I only had to take 3of the 6, I got exempt from the other 3.

20 pages, that's alot. eek

Romeo, my dog, has had a really good, healthy life thus far. He's over 8 years old, which is good for a Pomeranian.

He has glaucoma in one eye. He's been blind in it since the summer, but there was never a problem with it until yesterday. Pressure in his right eye skyrocketed, and there's very little we can do to repair it. It'll have to be removed. But... it's better that way. If we kept him on medication, all it would do is keep him mildly sedated, he'd still be in pain. That's not right, that's not a life.

Thankfully dogs adapt really well to being blind. And thankfully I did some work at an animal clinic.

Poor dog... I hope that never happens to my dog. This reminds me of a question from one of your quizzes: 'Does a blind dog need a seeing eye human?'

Heh, he still has perfect vision in his other eye. I'm not worried about the eye. It's sad that it has to be removed, but it's better than the alternative - pain, and ultimately a premature death. Dogs in pain like that just give up.

He's still going to be a beautiful, loving dog. :3 AND, he has our Papillion, Jerry, to help him out.
