Yeah, spawning stuff's alright when you're building huge structures, but there's a better sense of accomplishment when you know you've gathered everything yourself.

I built a pretty huge castle in one of Onyx's maps before I knew you could just spawn s**t and I had fun doing it...

but i'll need help. next time i have my friend onyx over, he can help me setup a server on one of our computers, i can't garuntee the server will be stable but its got more than enough power to do it. the problem is a lot of the cool tools we used to use aren't updated anymore so they are useless. and jsut the raw server files isn't great, works but it doesn't have mod promotions and such.

tools are dumb anyways
being able to spawn whatever you want to build kind of defeats the purpose

no i meant like teleporting and such, the spawner would be used for massive group projects. also a admin block deleter, then we could make a pit of doom.

sounds like when i dug myself into a large cave and ran around in circles looking for my way back.

long story short, i dug my way to the surface making a entrance to the lower mine from the very top.

I dug a 2x2 staircase up.
I made it to the surface.
And I saw my home on the hill in the distance. cool

you should make a nether portal, jsut be sure its away from your base, wraiths can come through on occasion.

also you can make another gate within the gate if your far enough away, and it will make a gate to another place, far away.

also real quick, i'm going to try and get the server hosting stuff on the other computer, and run it to see if anyone can connect. my next post will be the IP. if no one is able to connect then i'll have something to do tomorrow.

I'm not quite ready for the nether.

I'm still playing on Peaceful.
I'm going to go gather more iron, diamonds, obsidian.
Locate a place for a Grande Ole Mansion.
Build first layer, build obsidian middle layer, build outer-decore.

That way my house is creeper-proof.
At least on the inside.
