((I feel like I'm talking to myself now... erm, roleplay wise... but your posts are interesting! ^^ I'm glad we have the drunken father bit. <3 I feel like my posts are wandering off into oblivon.))
When the emerald eyed teen had come to, he leapt up and chased the other to the frozen foods, stopping him in his tracks. Harassing other's tended to make him feel better at the very least... "What do you know about me - Ishtar?" He snapped.
Malik ignored him, grabbing some foods from the bins, "What looks better this - or this?" He asked Otogi, holding two bags of different mixed frozen vegetables.
Otogi grunted, thirsting for attention he wasn't getting, "Neither. That stuff is gross!"
"Hm, well I think they both look good," He nodded, tossing them both into his basket,"
((I feel like such a HP #7 virgin!!! All of my friends have already read it... I'm the only one... *sniffle* But I'm glad you liked it. ))

But I like you talking to yourself; Otogi and Malik are very funny together. X3))
"He's the reason I'm here." Jounouchi replied, "He had to pick up some groceries because his apartment is almost out. I came too because I have a few things to pick up."
Honda snorted, "Is that why you've suddenly taken an interest in tea? Because Malik likes it?"
Jounouchi huffed, "No, I grabbed this for him because it was in the aisle I needed anyway. Besides, I like tea, just not enough to waste my own money on it."
Honda wanted to comment about how even with that, Jounouchi was wasting his money on beer instead, but decided to refrain, "So where is he?"
Jounouchi shrugged, "Dunno right now; we're meeting in the snack section." he said, grabbing a loaf of bread and placing it into his basket, "I should probably start heading over there actually."
((^^;; I'm sure you'll be able to read it eventually. You have the book already, right? o.o And don't worry; I know how you feel. I was the same way, where all my friends read it way before me, but it was my own fault. I decided to reread all the other books first to refresh my memory, and even though I only got the seventh book a couple days after it came out, I wanted to finish the others first. Luckily I'm reletively patient... It sucked though when I was in the middle of the fourth book and all my friends were wanting to talk about the seventh. I made them shut up, but one of them did accidentally spoil a death of one of the characters for me, though that was pretty early in the book anyway, so everything else after that was a complete surprise. ^^;; Ironically, I was just gonna borrow the book from one of my friends after I finished catching up on the others, but then a couple days after it came out, my aunt just went and bought me it for seemingly no reason. XD;; I'm cheap, so I was just gonna wait to buy it in paperback (that's how I own all the other books) but I can't complain. ^^ Anyway, hope your HP7 virginity is taken soon! <3))

"I'll have you know - that these are vegetables. And no - they don't turn me on quite the way you do..." Malik added, words teeming with sarcasm.
"Ha. Like I'd go for someone one like you. I mean you're a dude! That's pretty suck man. And I'm not loving the hairstyle either-" He was cut off by a darker tone of voice.
The Egyptian had turned away from the cold aisle, and stared souly at Otogi, a deep seriousness in his eyes now, “Otogi. I can tell you’re hiding something behind that grim smirk of yours, “ Malik accused with a hard lavender stare at his counterpart.
“Hiding something? What does somebody like you know about me? We've hardly even met, and you're making assumptions. Pretty bold statement, if you ask me.”
“Well, you're pretty damn readable. It seems to me, this whole, female obsession. It’s all just a little trick isn’t it…?”
Taken aback, the jet black head of hair narrowed emerald eyes at the Egyptian, “What do you mean trick? A lot of guys like girls. It’s called biology. Just cause you’re gay doesn’t mean every single guy is.”
“No. It’s obvious, Ryujji. You chase after girls like Shizuka and Mai…to get attention. Because when it comes down to it... you really just want someone to chase after you,”
“Tha-that’s not it, Ishtar.”
“I'll bet it is Otogi. You want someone to lust after you, be as persistant as you are and take you into their arms. You want them to chase you in the game of love.”
“That’s pure blasphamy Ishtar, and you know it.”
“Simply put, I know you want Honda to chase you the way you chase those girls.”
Otogi’s narrowed eyes widened, “I-I don’t… I don’t know what your talking about! Your damn insane is what you are! I’m not… I’m not like that! I-I’m not all bent like you!”
“Then stop stuttering when you talk. It’s okay to want somebody. Even if it’s somebody the same sex-“
“SHUT THE HELL UP.” Growled Otogi, before he lunged at Malik with a pale fist.
Malik hadn’t realized till it was to late and the fist made contact with his left cheek and he tumbled to the floor.
“You don’t know anything…” Otogi sputtered, his head now lowered to the ground, dark bangs fell into his eyes. “…about me, b*****d.”
Malik wiped the blood from his lip, and looked up at the other one with a deep frown.
((Yea, I was determined to re-read number five and six, till my brother stole five. ^^ I'm about to finish it though. Gah, I'm at the sad part!! But yea, I'm cheap too - however, I got it for a late birthday gift. So - I haven't bought any of the books, but I own them all. The last four in hardback, the other's in paperback.))

And so Jounouchi took off towards the snack section, grabbing a box of instant rice and some cup noodles on the way.
Honda followed behind him quietly, casting occasional glares at the bottle of beer rolling around in the basket, as if it kept insulting him.
Once they reached the snack food aisle, Jounouchi looked around, taking a drink of his cola, "He's not here yet." he stated to himself.
"Great observational skills you got there Jounouchi." Honda said sarcastically.
"Oh, shut up." Jounouchi snarled, rolling his eyes.
((Hmm... I think I bought 1-3 in paperback at a used book store, picked up four in paperback new, then got five in paperback for Christmas one year and six in paperback for Christmas the next year...))

“Shizuka… she’s real cute. And Honda really likes her... w-what the hell do I do so wrong…?!"
How’d it come to this? No one was supposed to know… he reminded himself. But he shouldn’t have gotten so caught up in the game. He hadn’t really liked those stupid girls, but he thought… he thought if he pretended to, Honda would’ve been jealous and perhaps he’d go fetch Otogi back. Instead… Honda would just scowl at Otogi behind his back, call him a player and a jerk. Sure, he was Otogi’s friend, but sometimes he didn’t understand what his deal was and why he was so damn girl happy. And it hurt to be called such names, but it was better than being called a f*****t right? Anything was better than that. After the humilation his father had caused him, he couldn’t let himself fall into such a deep hole like that ever again.
But something about Honda… it was just captivating. He knew nobody else saw that spark he saw in Hirito Honda, because every single girl Honda asked out would reject him. No, only Otogi could see the sweet interior, the handsome tall, tan motorcyclist. No, Honda was much more than that. Honda was everything. So… why couldn’t Honda see how deeply Otogi thought of him?

Honda sighed, tapping his fingers against his leg impatiently. "So... Malik doing okay with how torn up he was...?"
Jounouchi nodded, "Yeah, he seems to be getting on fine. Guess it wasn't as bad as it looked." he replied.
"That's good..." Honda mumbled, wondering absent-mindedly what part of the store Otogi was in right now.
Jounouchi had proceeded to look around at the different snack foods. He seemed satisfied to stop his looking after picking up a bag of shrimp and mayonaise pizza-flavored chips. ((Yes, those really exist. XD;; My friend brought them from Japan once and they actually weren't half-bad.))

Malik just sat there and listened, once Otogi had stopped talking to stare at the floor between his legs, Malik quietly trying to read his expression. For most of his life he had been good at determining people's weaknesses and strengths simply by being around the person for a short while. While, he couldn't always get the most accurate or detailed analysis of a person, he was pretty damn good at figuring out their hidden motives. That was the easiest way to control someone - get into their head - and while, the Rod gave him the power to do that quite literally, he still had practiced the trait without the Rod itself.
During the time he had built his army of Neo Ghouls, he had wanted to obtain desperate men, greedy men, men with lost sanities... people whose minds would be easy to morph and take control over. He was always trying to get into peoples heads; he figured having the Sennen Eye would be useful for this, but at the time it was in Pegasus possession and he didn't like the sound of having his body even more mutated (He considered the markings a mutation at time, other times just a bother but either way he didn't like them).
So here was Otogi. Handsome face; strong features, clever use of eye make up; the black eyeliner in contrast to his ivory face made his emerald eyes even more appealing. He had a good body, a decent sense in fashion and a strong charisma. Knowing all these facts, Malik could only think that it was probably too good to be true; and it was, he was extremely cocky and rude at that. He seemed to pick on other's flaws to make himself feel better - but why? Why would a perfect sort of guy need to feel better?
And this was the conclusion: Something in Otogi's life is wrong, it's beyond his grasp and it's making him feel insecure... but perhaps he doesn't want anyone to see his weaknesses. Or even more precisely, maybe it's a certain person in particular he's scared to unveil himself too.
The pieces of the puzzles were slowly being put together...
((Uhm... cause it's corny? And corn isn't very good without butter...))
((Ack! Those chips sound disgusting! Shame on Jounouchi for buying them... XD; I do like those shrimp ones those. <3 I guess if you say they aren't...))

Honda sighed, "Jounouchi, you're gonna kill yourself with all that junk food you eat..."
Jounouchi rolled his eyes, "Okay mom!" he huffed, "I mean, you eat a lot of junk food too, so don't go lecturing me."
Honda crossed his arms, "Well at least I don't eat those disgusting chips."
"They're not disgusting; you're just picky!"
"And you'll eat anything!"
"So what's your point?! That I'm gonna die early because I'm not picky with food?"
"Maybe it is!"
The two glared at eachother for a good while before Honda finally huffed, turning to lean against a shelf and crossing his arms.
((I liked grilled corn... X3
And those chips sounded disgusting to me too, but my friend convinced me to try them, and they pretty much just tasted like Doritos with a hint of shrimp flavor. I don't like any kind of sea food, but since Doritos are my favorite chip (actually one of the only chips I like) I could put up with the slight shrimp taste. And yeah, Japan really does have shrimp and mayonaise pizza in case you were wondering... they have weird toppings; only one I've found I like so far is corn. ^^))

Malik stood up promptly, "I need to go meet Jounouchi soon..." He noted, shifting his eyes towards the right, about where the snacks would be.
Otogi delayed a bit before muttering negatively, "You can't even give me advice."
"If you like him, then don't act like a dumb a**. Do something." Malik began to turn down the aisle, sticking his empty hand in his pocket, " Be weary however. I know what it's like to want something you can't get. I'm not sure if it's possible to turn someone straight the other way..."
He stopped midway down the aisle, looking back yet again, "...although - sometimes it's worth a try."
((I luff Doritos too! <3 They are probably one of my favorite kinds of chips. I like Hot Cheetos too. But I think I liked the baked kind better.
Haha, well I dunno I'd probably be too chicken to try 'um.))

As Honda stood there impatiently, Jounouchi began boredly looking around at some of the stranger snacks. Cola-flavored cotton candy that turned into gum when you chewed it, wasabi chocolate, roasted crab babies, stew-flavored potatoe chips... Jounouchi wondered absent-mindedly if maybe Honda was right that he would eat anything, because all of this looked good to him.
((Yes, all of those are real Japanese snack foods. XD;; I've tried the first one, and it was pretty good...
And besides Doritos, the only other chip I really like are sour cream and chedder potatoe chips. Potatoe chips and tortilla chips are okay too, but I like to have some kind of dip with those. I like normal Cheetos, but not the hot ones. XP I can't stand spicy stuff.))

Malik strolled down the snack aisle to find Honda and Jounouchi looking through the towering rows of unusual food. "Hope I haven't kept you waiting. I ran into... somebody on the way." He stated loudly, announcing his presence.
((Gah!! They have some unusual food that is for sure. ^^ I used to hate Hot Cheetos too, but now for some reason I like them. Hell, I suffer when I eat them, but I still eat them.))

Jounouchi turned to look over at Malik, "Hey what a coincidence; I did too." he said, geturing to Honda.
Honda put a hand up in a quick waving motion before quickly putitng it back down, looking bitter.
"Here's your tea." Jounouchi said, holding the box out to Malik, ignoring Honda.
((Ha, I can't even eat pepperoni because it's too spicey. XD;; I don't really like the taste anyway though so...))

Malik rose an eyebrow, he was curious as to why but he figured now wasn't the best time, and he wanted to get in a few words to Jounouchi regarding his own situation, "Yea... but, do you really think that's it? I ran into Otogi. He was really bitter about something...."
((GAH, THIS three hour online class about alcohol is driving me NUTS! Luckily I get my break now, but I can't believe THIS is a requirement to living on campus... *sobs* I don't even drink!!! ))
