!!! That is GREAT news! You can use your own washer and dryer again, and while I presume the cats won't be able, or want, to go out until the doggo is gone, they at least won't have to deal with anyone shouting. (Though, I suppose if you could pen the dog somewhere or do a little switcheroo of who's in the room, maybe, you might let the cats roam for a bit.)
Well, the kids aren't around to blatantly ignore Val, so I suppose you probably won't need that evil plan, now. Unless the clan return, and for the love of all that is good, I sure hope they don't.
Yes, it is! And, thankfully, the hospitality industry is one of those things where you can count on being able to find a job no matter where you end up. The biggest problem is finding a job environment that's actually GOOD... My beau has wound up in so many toxic kitchens, or under bosses that just don't care or have no business. Or, and these are almost worse, places that START good but then slip downhill and somehow wind up in hell. The current place is a winner, though, even with people sometimes being dumb. Not, like, super high-end, but just nice enough to allow a lot of creativity with the menu, and the owner is nice, which is always a plus.

I'm tired lately as the group of my family is gone, but they still have their things and dog to pick up that are still down here. (And I'm questioning how much longer they all plan to leave them here & how much longer we all will keep them here before the stuff is trashed or kept if we could use it, and the dog sent to the pound as clearly she then would have been abandoned.)
I mean two of them came by on Saturday the 29th of June, and one of them entered this house and the person picked up their freaking stuffed waffle maker and far as I know they both just left again for good after picking up ingredients from inside their RV to make stuffed waffles!!! (As no show ups later on happened yet & idk if they will.)
So to me it's still seen as stuffed waffles > their own year old pit like wtf is wrong with them all!?
I mean really if they all got their own dang place then they need to come back here and take their getting depressed without them all year old dog!!! (Or don't come back ever as we'll send her to the pound eventually were she may get a much better living situation after some serious doggy school lessons for behavior if the pound will deal with that, but if not she'll still probably have a better life there then over the family whom took a waffle maker {wait I should make it sound more almighty.} a STUFFED waffle maker from the gods!!! {better.} over their own dog first.)
Just ugh if they took a *stuffed waffle maker over their own dog ugh to them all!!! xp stressed scream (Especially if they leave their other things and their dog here long enough for us all to hit the "okay they abandoned all of these clearly." thoughts, and tbh idk how long that will take us given they were here since the end of February and we all pretty much are done with it feeling.)

Let me start off with saying sorry for taking so long to respond. I've been playing FFXIV almost non-stop since Dawntrail EA dropped, so I've only been taking half an hour or so to do daily internet stuff before switching over. cat_sweatdrop
So, there are a couple of plausible reasons they have not taken the dog yet. If they're renting/leasing to own or something like that, there will be a deposit they have to pay before they can bring in a pet, and the deposits for dogs are usually hefty. It's also possible, since Val is a pittie, they're not allowed to have her on the premises at all (which they REALLY should have considered before committing to a breed that every place where I've ever rented has outright banned). Either way, someone should really be communicating with you about it since she's not your dog. Especially since they've clearly been back and taken things that, if they're choosing them over the dog, make them absolutely disgusting and disgraceful examples of humanity.
And please make sure to do some research about where you take her before you decide to abandon her! Pitties are hard to rehome since so many places put restrictions on the pets you're allowed to own. There are places that won't take them at all or will... 'dispose' of them without giving them a chance. Even some of the places that don't do that, if an animal doesn't adopt out within a certain time frame, they euthanize, no questions asked. (I've saved my fair share of pets from that fate, kill shelters are THE worst.) Plus if she shows any signs of aggression, that will often make her automatically "unadoptable," and considering how they treated her, I wouldn't be surprised if she has an aggressive streak to her when faced with certain situations. Which isn't to say keep her to your detriment, I just don't think either of us want to see her wind up in a place that won't giver her the chance she deserves, even if she's been a bit of a pest.

It's all good, most of us are busy with much more fun things than gaiaonline. (which sadly can be anything as gaia seems dead anymore.) Aye I know, I'd love some more communication then one child being in and at most sharing they're getting things while all the others are at home. (which I only guessed is their own home.) Yeah we got to look into that as idk how any around here even are tbh if we got to send her to the pound as we can't keep her here. (mainly as two cats will not leave any room they hide in if they make it to another room if she is here, and we do not need more cat messes in rooms. I got to already clean mine from four months of cats even though we shoved the litterbox in there.)

Sadly, yes, Gaia is pretty dead these days. Though it tends to get a jolt of activity when events happen, and we haven't had a summer event yet, so maybe we'll get to see a little more activity before long? I'm curious to see what kind of event we'll get, well, assuming we DO get one like usual.
Do you happen to have a phone number for any of them or something? Then you could ask about it or give them an ultimatum, "if you don't get the dog by this date, we'll have to give her away, not going to keep our cats locked up to be your dogsitter." I can only guess you don't, though, or you'd have tried that already... I guess if you catch one of the kids around to pick up something again, you can send a note back with them, maybe?
But yeah, the cats were there first, and they deserve to have their home back, so something has to be done with the dog. Which is unfortunate, but the situation isn't any more fair for the pup, either. She deserves a good home with loving people and space to run, and she's clearly not going to get that from the people that choose objects over a living creature if they've no good reason to have left her behind for now.

Blind Blindness Nice to see you too! Hope you had a good 4th. I'll probably send you a message one of these days soon lol My beau's workplace was actually closed for the fourth, so we got to spend the day together! Not that we really did anything, just stayed in and played the new FFXIV expansion together, but any day we get to spend together is a good day, even the days when we spend two hours at a clinic for my infusions. Could have done without all the noise from the parade, but not much to be done for that when I live literally just around the corner from the main thoroughfare. And feel free to message away whenever, you know I'm rarely busy, haha~ (Though if it's within the next week, I may be a little delayed in responding, we have family coming to visit, and I can't guarantee I'll have reception or hear my phone wherever we decide to go. I'll try not to leave you hanging too long, though!)

My mom and I visited my grandma in the nursing home. Aside from that, not much. A few fireworks out my window, but no parade haha. I saw a movie with my friend this weekend, Maxxxine. I don't know if you've ever seen "Pearl" or "Ex", but it's based off that series. Had Dippin' Dots. That was a treat! Trying to hang in there, and I hope you are too! Don't ya hate it when medical/physical stuff gets in the way? Haha. But we are fighters.

Don't ya hate it when medical/physical stuff gets in the way? Haha. But we are fighters. We probably could have walked across the street and let ourselves into the parking garage to watch fireworks from the roof, but we were both pretty caught up in the game. Who needs fireworks when you have a new expansion to play, right? Plus, I don't really like leaving my cats alone with potential loud noises. Not that it has ever scared them or anything, but at least one of them is liable to do something dumb (like jumping at the bedroom window that we keep baby gated off) if he hears people outside. Shima is the neighborhood watch, by which I mean he wants to watch everyone that comes through our part of the neighborhood and gets quite angry when he isn't let into a window but can hear things going on outside. Oh, your grandma is in a nursing home now? I think that's a new development since the last time we talked. Nice to spend some time with her for the holiday, though. Behold my knowledge of pop culture; I have heard of exactly zero of the things you mentioned. I haven't been to a theater in... years? It was well before we moved... The last Despicable Me that I watched with my mom, I think, however long ago that was. Two years? And the beau hasn't been to the theater since that new Evil Dead movie last year. And so far as we can tell, the theater we like here is closed for renovations. (Or that's our best guess, at least; they don't seem to be operating at the moment, but they've retained their web domain and are updating their site per the notice when I visit it.) They had two dollar Tuesday showings, so I hope they reopen. My medical stuff gets in the way for about two hours every eight weeks. We usually just make a day of it, go somewhere fun afterward like a thrift shop or our favorite discount shop. Plus I have the whole infusion time for reading, so could be worse. cat_xd Honestly, worth it since this one seems to actually be working. I can even eat ice cream again!

Aye, and when an if a event does happen let's hope it's a fun one. I'm praying that the group gets that idea already tbh, but being related to my own blood kin I also know we tend to be stupid as hell to situations at times. xp So now I'm more hoping they just get their stuff and dog before my birthday hits which gives them nearly an extra curse them if they need or abuse it... 13 more days basically as my birthday hits on the 21st this month. emotion_skull (I mean either way I'll probably be trapped in the house compared to the joy of getting out of the house in ages, but if that happens I rather be trapped in this house with my own pets climbing all over me compared to trapped in the house wondering if the older cat is still kicking alive and their dog is climbing all over me if not biting at me to play as she's a damn year old and has no place to kill all her energy down here seeing as we have no fenced yard to shove her out into.) I would escape to my bedroom more but with matters of our cats my bedroom is really dang gross that even I the man whom's old man father made him drink chunking up milk, honestly really hates being in that bedroom now until the day hits I can clean it and it stays cleaned up as no cats will be locked in there and stressed out marking their territory. (Damn owning two territorial female cats. I love them they are our cats, but damn them for marking their territory turf wars.)

Yessss! I'd LOVE to see their RPG make a return for the summer, honestly. Like, they really left us hanging after the last plot in it, I want to know where it goes. cat_crying Might cry if it's another forum event, though, I hate how tedious those always are.
I think another almost two weeks is quite enough time for them to at least tell you when they're going to get their dog and their plans for the rest of their stuff. And I can definitely imagine how much pent up Val has. Pitties are high energy. Even if you did have a fenced yard, you might not be able to let her out; pits are GREAT at fence climbing. (So if she's friendly and loves people, she'd be over the fence first time she saw someone else outside, and I'm sure we can both imagine what would happen in that scenario.) I'd say try walking her on a harness, but, well, I get the feeling they didn't leave a good walking harness for her, and spending on a dog that isn't even yours would be silly.
It's a little weird for a female cat to be territorial and mark their space. I've only ever had male cats be like that. But I definitely understand how gross it can be; one of my boys has trouble making it to the box sometimes, and will refuse to use it if it isn't to his standards. In our apartment with a portable AC unit in only one room (which we keep closed off most of the time because the cats can't be trusted in there, so it is usually only running when my beau is home and in that room) the temp is usually upper seventies, low eighties in the summer, which makes the cat waste smell SO much worse. Like, I usually put the dirty litter in the old empty plastic litter buckets, but they turn into ammonia bombs in the heat and it is disgusting. (Literally was strong enough to bring tears to my eyes last time I used the bucket. I've switched to leftover paper bags until autumn comes around.)
