Giyari Millenium Joker Giyari FML... Meh Anyway lol, on topic >.> I like ALL music biggrin but in the way of metal I love bands like BTBAM(between the burried and me), avenged sevenfold, slipknot, mudvane and so on lol. But IMO Punk > Metal That's because the bands you listed are HARDLY Metal. Metal tends to be a bit more..... awesome. And less mainstream. Bands like King Diamond/ Mercyful Fate, Deicide, Damnation, Goatwhore, Strapping Young Lad, GWAR, etc- THAT'S metal. Slipknot? Is just... annoying. And Mudvayne was only good on their LD.40 album. After that, they were still GOOD, just.... not AS good. Well I'd call that 'stereotypical metal' ya'know, with the leather trousers, long whirlwinding hair, not understanding a word and stuff... Not for me :3 (tbh I've never even heard of those bands xD) I like the sceaming stuff, but meh not so much these days. Give me Mad Capsule Markets, Misfits, The Ghost Of A thousand, Billy Talent XD Saying that I'm also a huge lover of J/K-pop and 8-bit... Anamanaguchi for the ******** win!
Okay, MAYBE Deicide is one of those "growling, unintelliglbe" bands, but the others? Nah, they lyrics are pretty clear-cut, and... well.... awesome. |

He was originally out with Black Rose (minor band) in the early 80s.
He met the members of Mercyful Fate and started MF in the Mid-80's, leading to a VERY successful career. He broke with MF around 1990 or so, due to creative and theatrical problems with the band members, namely Hank Sherman (Such as when they were doing songs about Satan, Sherman would go on stage in cargo shorts and a T-shirt, not the dark, demonic looking outfits Diamond was wearing.)
He started his own band (self-titled) in the 90's and had a GREAT career, spiting such memorable albums as Abigail and The Spider's Lullabye. He reunited with Mercyful Fate in the early 90's and made their In The Shadow's album, their best album by far. After a few more albums, he went back to King Diamond and made more albums. His latest album was Give me Your Soul....Please? which was released in 2007.
So far (sadly) no plans have been announced to CONTINUE his work, although there are rumors that he MAY go touring or recording again soon, and he MAY be releasing a sneaker line.
By the way, one of his guitarists from MF and KD, Andy LaRocque- one of the best guitarists alive- also was a guest guitarsist on Death's Individual Though patterns album. It was... truly.... an amazing piece of work.
