DKiryu smiled. It was nice.
Zero smiled...the the smile turned into laughter. Then that laughter turned into hard laughter. Then he calmed down and stopped.

As Diablos got closer, his hand was engulfed by dark energy in his fist and his hand throws back to land a hit on Zero...The Gate appears to open even more.

Rahvine's grip on DKiryu's hand tighted for a moment. ...I just hope the 'trouble' doesn't get too bad. I don't want anything to happen to DKiryu,...

Zero let himself get hit, allowing all of the damage to unfold. He just waited. Gwen could do all she wanted, it wouldn't do a thing to him. Apin and death was a lost concept to him. And, having had to cross the styx river every time he had to go to work, he was quite used to his worst fears taking shape. He teleported a cigar to himself and lit it on fire using his finger. He took a puff, it's flavor lost to him, and waited.
DKiryu looked at Rahivne.
"You're worried aren't you?"

The Gate had started to open. Gwendolyn looked behind her as the creature on top of the massive Gate pointed at Zero. "Zero. Looks like you have a visit with the whatever is inside the Gate. You have no choice but to come now." The Gate started to suck in Zero, and Diablos picked him up ruthlessly to throw him in. "Good work Diablos." Gwendolyn smiles deviously as Zero begins to hurdle towards the Gate. The demon on top of the Gate recognizes Zero for a second, and quickly closes the Gate, to stop Zero in his tracks. "How funny. For some reason, you can't gain access beyond the Gate. Diablos come to me." Diablos did as he was commanded, then Gwendolyn started to encircle around Zero, "Tell me why."

Zero smiled.
"Cause I've met the demon before. As a matter of fact..." He stood back up.
"I meet him every time I go to work. You see-I no longer have my worst fears. Or any fears period. I cross the river styx every time I go to work, in which the river tempts me with what my heart desires and fears. So I have confronted and dispelled them. But please continue hurting me. Er...let me rephrase that."
He took another puff of the cigar.
"Trying to hurt me."
