The first puzzle I had set up the quote that you guys had to decode. The two formulas that I gave y'all was supposed to help, but it ended up only throwing you guys off--a job well done on my end.

Here is the puzzle:

H + 3 + 2^4 / 2 - 2 --> ?
?2 <-- ? + (-5) + 1 * 1

Quote:

Here's the answer to this puzzle:

H was the letter of the alphabet that I wanted all of you to start at. It wasn't really a variable or an unknown. H = H. The rest was order of operations. So the first formula should've given you "H + 9 -->" Meaning translate the alphabet 9 letters to the right of H. Making H = Q.

The second part of the formula was supposed to be done in the same way, so your answer then would've been, "?2 <-- Q + (-5) + 1 *1" which in the end is "?2 <-- Q - 4"
Making you move back four letters from Q, which would make H = M.

In essence you were translating 9 letters forwards and 4 letters back. Or just 5 letters forward.

Knowing the alphabet as
F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z A B C D E

F being A... E being Z

The message then being coded in the same way. The first letter moved over nine times to the right and then back four times, translates into:

Just in case you guys didn't understand how I did the words:
tpnslqt = looking. The L in looking was moved over to the right nine times, and the back four times. I'm pretty sure you can figure it out now.

Color in/over the one's and you should've seen the message.
I'd do it now, but it's going to take a while. I'll just leave it to you.
