 At that moment, Shadow felt Marie's soft touch. He looks straight at her as his demonic wild crimson gaze looks into her glittering green emeralds. Before Marie's eyes, Shadow's pupils go back to normal and the striped markings on his cheeks disappeared. Shadow manages to shake everything off and looks the other way hiding himself again as usual. Even so, Shadow was still too ashamed to show his face after knowing that Marie and the others saw him in that form. A form he never wanted anyone to know about. But now, its gotten worsen to the point were the mutation is beginning to show itself more. And now that the others saw what it did to him, Shadow tries to think of an excuse to avoid telling them about it. Even after his ordeal, Shadow still keeps a straight face to hide himself.

Marie sighed as he turned his face. He's so stubborn she thought. Watching his face go from it's unusual form, back to normal, made Marie even more curious about him. She started getting slightly angry. He always did this. Hide his feelings. It was a feature about him, she rather disliked. Then she did something she didn't usually do. She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him, forcing him not to pull back. "Dammit, Shadow, it's okay to be scared. You don't have to cut yourself away from everyone. The people here are actually your friends. You don't have to hide from us,"she whispered into his ear. She meant everything she said. She knew Shadow had to be scared somewhere inside. Everyone gets scared of at least one thing in their life. All she wanted was for Shadow to express himself like he did the moments before they were separated.

Shadow became surprised for a moment when Marie embraced him. Listening to her strong whispers, he knew deep down everyone was worried. As afraid of himself as he was, he was more concerned for the others safety even though he doesn't show it. As much as Shadow still tried to hide himself, he could never resist Marie's sweet scent. He tries not to give in, but the smell was far too soothing to move away from. The more Marie held him, the more his shaking went away. His mind became at peace for that moment. He closes his eyes and leans in to Marie's shoulder. Shadow would have pushed her away, but even that would have hurt even more. The only thing relaxing him was the smell of water and flowers and the warmth he had always longed for as long as he can remember. Anyone could tell from his current actions that Shadow really missed Marie's loving scent since his fight with Armor Fiend. He falls completely silent and sighs in relief that everyone is safe. All this time, even in his terrifying form Shadow was probably more afraid of losing his friends than anything. Even if his mind turned into an animal, he still didn't hurt them. But thats something he kept to himself.

Nyx looked over at him and giggled as she looked down at her sister. "Well I do. I know she's upset but she doesn't have to be such a grump." she said as she let go of her ears and sat down in the chair across from her. She smiled for a moment but Luna still wouldn't speak. "Please don't do this Luna. Don't make everything feel like we're one step forward but two steps back. We're doing all we can for now." she said softly as her ears folded down. Luna glanced at Cross before looking at her sister. "What if it's not enough? What if everything just blows up in our faces in the end? I can't handle more death Nyx." she said as she stared at the ground and kept her arms crossed.

Cross laughed and he smiled with his eyes closed.
"You can't handle more death? Maybe you should think of what we've all been through..we're all here aren't we?"he asked and looked at the roof.
"It's better to try and fail..then to die and never do anything."he scoffed.

Marie sighed in relief. She felt like she finally tamed the beast within. And the fact she knew Shadow liked her smell. She could feel his shakes decreasing every second she held him. She smiled as she stroked his hair, trying to avoid his ears. At that moment, she remembered the feeling she forgot when she was taken in, security. She had actually never felt this way in a very long time. In fact, it had been ten years since she felt so. She let go of him gently and looked back up at him. "You're still my Shadow,"she said really looking into his eyes. Just trying to figure him out was challenge enough, but calming him was a victory to her.

Luna just looked away and then got up. She walked outside again just to be alone and to escape it all for a moment. Nyx sighed and rested her head on her hand. She snapped her fingers and watched a small flame flicker in her hand. She made the small flame turn into a rose before closing her hand over it to make it disappear. "What do you remember?" she asked Cross as she glanced over at him.

Cross opened his now misty eyes..his hands covering the back of his head. He sighed and shook his head.
"Everything.."he said softly.
"Every single detail. Every single person."he said with a chuckle.
"I wish Abyss was still alive..I'd hug him as tightly as I could and beg for forgivness..I never treated him as I should have."he admitted and he seemed to pause..as if in thought.
"Prophecy knew his students well..but theres one mistake he never really realized about us."he said as if he was remembering a distant past..lifetimes before her or anyone else in the house.
"We all fell in love..every single one of us."he said with a sad tone.
"And it ended in all of our demises."he said..then he closed his eyes again.
"Abyss was the start..the poor man..never could put himself above others..and the government made him choose between family. He followed his end of the bargain..but the government let there dogs..rape his wife..and slit her throat..and then they took his 6 year old daughter and literally made him watch as they drowned her to were she was puking up water... beat her with a whip..doing the same to him as they went along..the only thing that they didn't do to Abyss that they did to her well 2 actually. They made Abyss tell his daughter that she would be okay..that he'd get her out of all of it. Then they wrapped a rope around her neck and kicked the stool below her feet..and she literally hanged there moving with a face filled with pain for nearly 2 minutes..the whole time they made Abyss watch. He was literally crippled...and had both his arms broken..yet they let him live..and the government let doctors heal him up..he never did forgive himself for the pain he caused vincent..or what he let the government do to his wife and daughter. His wife..was 27 years old."he sighed.

Nyx hid her face in her hands and she gave a deep sigh. "There's so many questions I want to ask. But it seems I always regret asking them when I finally hear the answer." she said quietly with a light chuckle. "And usually I don't believe anyone ever deserves to die. But that's sick and twisted and I hope the government burns in hell!" she shouted before she shook her head and closed her eyes. "What are we going to do now?" she asked softly, trying to distract her mind for just a bit.

Shadow stands up and looks out the window out onto the horizon. "Thanks, sorry about that", he sighs out apologizing for showing his weak side. The moments went by as Shadow looked distantly out the window as the sun slowly began to set. The color of the setting rays colored the clouds scarlet red as blood. A stomach twisting reminder of the blood that was split and covered in his claws. He looks again as his blood smeared claws and makes a long quite sigh looking towards the floor. He quietly listened out hearing Aybss's story from Cross out side with his keen sense of hearing. Suddenly he gripped his fist so hard, his claws pierced through, making a blood dripping fist. He takes another look at the fresh blood he split in his own hand, realizing it was not even his own blood could cover up the smell as always for as long as he remembers. "Even if the blood disappears, the smell will always remain. Just like before. But now its gotten stronger.", he whisper to himself not even caring if Marie was listening. From the way he described it, Shadow has had a difficult past of grueling cold blood and could feel that the blood lust within has gotten stronger. He slightly turns back to Marie with that same shameful look in his eyes while saying,"I guess I have some explaining to do dont I? Were you scared?"

(I don't know paladin..it's pretty late in the rp..um..i'll probably end accepting now..but I doubt that you can come in now and be able to flow with the story..I apologize..I should have removed the accepting part from my rp awhile back..and I'll do it very shortly..but if you want..I'll be sure to send u a PM if I make another rp..so u can join it when it is still fresh and the plot hasn't already gotten to a thick point. This rp has kinda gotten to like one of the movies were if u don't know about everything that has happend you'll be absolutly lost..I again..apologize.)
Cross sighed softly and looked up at her.
"I don't intend to push it right now.Shadow needs rest..you all need rest. We can't stop what Vincent is doing yet..but we have 3 more days..Nyx..then Darkstar will be summoned..and Vincent will merge with him."he said with a cold expression. He was as if in a whole different place..his mind somewhere else.

Marie sighed when Shadow stood up. What is it with sensitive men and always apologizing? she pondered. She couldn't understand why he was ashamed for showing his more......sensitive side. Men, she thought, Always feel like they have to be tough. She moved her seatings to the couch and looked up at him. Her expression, slightly changed from relaxed to slightly shocked in point two seconds. Hearing his words didn't exactly help ease it either. She didn't know much about Shadow. Only his name, that he doesn't remember anything of past, or little of it, he can be a baby, and that he pretty much cared for anyone around them. Like any other person, she was curious about him. Like how a newborn puppy opens its eyes for the first time. She looked down and shook her head. "Only explain what you can. And I wasn't scared, just worried,"she said resting her head in her palms.
