How I imagine my neighbor this morning knocking on his own door trying to wake up his housemate after going out for a smoke and apparently forgetting his keys to his apartment door. He was at it for over a quarter of an hour, I swear. Wanted to open my door and be like "Buddy, they clearly sleep like the dead, maybe you should try calling them instead." They're pretty nice neighbors for the most part, though. Have even unlocked the outer door for me when I was struggling with my key (it is, at best, a copy of a copy, so the lock grumps about it). So I decided against being antagonistic. Well, that and the fact that I hate confrontation. cat_sweatdrop
{Sorry for an extremely later reply, even if I don't need to be life had me distracted.}
Aye the cats were both in their unique personalities way excited, and we all loved them for it. whee Cappi came out meowing for some love and attention from us all & when we gave her some she spent her time staring around making sure the dog was fully gone then, and my baby Katt Bartlett came ut later staring around for the dog meowed at Cappi and us had Cappi respond I guess with a "Dog's gone." meow as soon after Cappi meowed back my kitty jumped out the room and had the zoomies causing Cappi to set up ready to play with her. (Was a great day though I wish I had a camera that day to record the kitties in those moments.) Overall they were extremely happy as you could easily tell seeing them if you were there, but I'm sure even words when being a cat owner yourself you got the idea. xd
The downside is all their store items are cosmetic but thankfully even with that factor the game has a way to earn the special RLC shop currency be earned in game. As for the p2w or PtW (I seen it said both those ways) kind of games I feel all of us that play video games or mobile games hate those moments in games. (A great example is I like the anime Black Lagoon and I semi like their game Black Lagoon Heaven's Shot because well it doesn't seem it early on & you could technically grind days/months/years to never pay it a cent even, but sadly BL:HS is heavy p2w & after playing it for a week while doing life things around here too I am honestly debating quitting now for it is PtW & for three half my week now playing I been stuck in my areas of game even after going from a power of 1,980,700 to 2,789,980 I can't pass those areas and to make it all worse the huge reason I'm wanting to quit the game is this fact. My power level making it all simplified now as forget typing it out always for people 2789k the enemy I'm fighting atm in game sitting at 1989k who wins?
Logic says me with the higher power level in games like that, but cause the player with 1989k PtW they got all these fancy in game booster cosmetic items that make them auto win. (which normally my mood would be IDGAF for a p2w game as that's the BS that always happens, IF I wasn't FORCED INTO DOING RANKED PVP!!!) emotion_donotwant
Honest with SoT when it comes to their cosmetics store that wants RLC, they only once got RLC from me in 2020 as they had a Covid deal going on and idk about Ancient Skeleton enemies then.
As for Rare enemies SoT has got a lot of fun and not so fun to deal with ones. (Mainly as I hate the many types of Megalodons having a launching you off the ship capability as like Neville Longbottom said once "Why is it always me?" for every time I'm up fighting the blasted thing I'm lunched off the ship & 9/10 times before the mermaid shows up to port me back on the ship the Meg kills me, so I go below and just patch the holes up on the ship anymore lately staying safe and on the ship.)
Aye the High Seas in game surely is showing it's in bad times now & horribly as you could guess when there is another crew in high seas servers you can flip a coin for what they're like but most times the coin is double headed or doubled tailed. Safe seas is just your own group, but with my rl friends atm it's kinda also dead atm. gonk
so i'm kinda just solo slooping in safe or joining random groups in high seas as late for game. As for getting the rank of pirate legend ngl I'm half given up as my cases are well... just see/experience the game once ykw. (and with multi platform togetherness the fun of system vs pc speed is butting in too for bad times & you can guess which group hacks/mods their pirates the most giving bad reputation to the other players of that group.)
And my personal darkest thoughts of game is whomever said mics for SoT was a great thing needs shot... As if I hear another trash talker acting high and mighty I'm going to learn my own hacking abilities, find their location, and kick their arse before I go leaving their location saying "Guess I'm the PvP god now %@#$%." As after meeting too many of those kinds of microphone users in game I want to do that evil and I don't care if that would randomly send me to Hell I'd still do it for those kind of people need to stop being those kind of people.
My heroes in the Fable series are always chaotic gremlins if chaotic gremlins means I know we can break the game's morality system, but if I have a hero playing with my friend online co-op if he's being evil I'm also evil in game. As for the Fable 2 case of NPCs kicking our dog and us killing their whole town later if we wanted to be good heroes again we just handed some random homeless NPC a load of gold to gain the good points. (Made Banshees fun to hear too when we fought them.)

I'd probably have confronted the person myself asking if he tried calling calling them myself, but being honest if he said he didn't have his cellphone or even knew their numbers I'd probably be all like "Oh... Well then good luck I guess." heading back inside if I even confronted them. cat_sweatdrop
Though my reasons not to confront others is I have a dislike of others more due to my past with some people added on with I also am the same with not liking to confront people first. So I got two reasons. emotion_skull
Glad the kitties had so much fun with their returned freedom. I can see how it all happened already. Like my cats last night. My neighbor left something in the oven and left without turning it off, filled the first floor with smoke, so I had to wrangle my boys into the carrier and leave while the place cleared. They were so happy when we got back, went straight for the food bowl then jumped all over their tower and ran around for a bit before collapsing on the floor. We gave them a little n**, too, to make up for their "traumatic" night. Then they spent all night laying on top of us in bed, like "nope, we're not going anywhere, therefore neither are you, we're all staying right here."
Yeahhh, I avoid most mobile games because of the pay-to-win factor. I just don't have the patience for all the gacha bs in the app stores. I avoid most free MMOs for the same reason, well, and because I really don't have more time to devote to any MMORPG other than FFXIV. The EULAs/ToS/privacy policies on a lot of the free games/mobile apps tend to be pretty sketchy, too. Thus I stick to dumb puzzle games with really simple terms when I play something on my phone. Don't have any game apps on my current phone, though, just a few extra utilities and a streaming app. There are plenty of mobile-friendly sites out there these days (my current go-tos are one for jigsaw puzzles [all the Play Store jigsaw puzzle apps are skeavy or don't have the features I want] and an online logic puzzle database/player that has a bunch of Japanese puzzle types I love), so apps seem superfluous. My old phone still has a crossword and nonogram puzzle apps on it, those were all I needed to entertain myself. And other than connecting to wifi to download new crossword puzzles, neither required a constant connection like lots of apps tend to these days. (That's a big sticking point for me, I don't connect my phone to the internet unless I'm actively browsing the web or updating necessary apps, so it makes no sense for a dumb game to need constant access to the internet.)
Blegh, SoT is auto mic-enabled? That's so gross, I hate when games do that! Like, if I wanted a ten-year-old to yell at me, I'd be working in grade school education. And it's twice as bad if they don't have an auto-mute function. Like, that's a basic necessity at this point. People suck, and I should not be forced into any interactions I don't want. I wouldn't even care if the player base consisted of angels and everyone were nice; any interaction I can't choose or opt out of is a bad interaction.
My chaos gremlins make.... morally gray choices. Things that aren't exactly good, but which make logical sense in some way. Like looting graves/corpses (they're clearly not using the stuff anymore, what do they care?), and letting/helping victims take their pound of flesh from someone that hurt them. Or, like, being fine with blood magic as long as no one else is being hurt for or with it.
