Emi shrugged. "It doesn't matter to me." she said as she glanced down at her feet.

Emi sat herself across from Rahvine, she glanced in the direction they were heading and at her feet. She didnt realized how much her feet were hurting her." So we are half way there huh?"

Emi winced when she saw the bloodstone. It was an odd thing for a bounty hunter to be sick near blood. She pulled her knees to her chest and tried not to look at the stone. Suddenly she heard a stick snap somewhere in the distance.

Emi jumped up dagger in hand. "Did you hear that?" maybe it was a rabbit or some small animal. She lowered it a few seconds before an arrow grazed her arm from the trees. "Son of a...!" Emi yelled as she pulled her scarf up to cover her face. "An archer..." she said raising her dagger. Another arrow was shot at Rahvine from one of the trees.

"What's done is done." Emi said as she heard a rustle behind her. She felt another arrow graze her arm. "That's it!" she yelled. She tossed her dagger at the bush causing the attacker to jump out of the bush that it was hiding behind.

"You need to do better than that, beautiful!" the archer said aiming another arrow at Emi. The bounty hunter quickly retrieved her chained knives and began twirling one in her hand as she surveyed the archer. It looked like it was a young man dressed in a green tunic, white leggings, and brown boots. She couldn't get a good look at his face because of the white cloak covering his face. He seemed familiar though.

She tossed one knife at the archer who dodged but his hand got caught in her chains. She then pulled the archer towards her. "is that good enough for you?" she growled.

The archer struggled with the chain as he fell to the ground. "Good enough for a Bounty Hunter!" he growled. Emi rolled her eyes and bent down to the archer's level. "You're lucky, that I haven't decided whether to turn you in or not!" she said as she removed her scarf from her face. "Now take off this stupid hood!" she growled. The bounty hunter yanked the archers hood back to reveal a face with short and messy curly orange hair and a smiling face. "K-kenji? What are you doing here?" she asked annoyed.

"Well hello to you to Beautiful." Kenji said with a small smile. "Do an archer a favor and loosen the chains won't you?" Emi sighed and unwrapped the chains. "sorry for attacking you earlier, I thought you were the bounty hunters that chased me into this blue flame...." he said as he rubbed his hands. He rose up and gave Emi a hug. "I thought you were dead!"

"..." Emi responded by pushing him roughly to the ground. Kenji frowned and spotted Rahvine.

"Hello there beautiful! What's your name?"

Emi gave Kenji an annoyed look. "Yeah we grew up on the streets together..." she said in an unamused tone. She studied the archer again as she took out her sketchbook. She drew in a breathe and nodded. "You look like Kenji but how do I know you are telling the truth?" she asked in a small voice.

Kenji gave Emi a doubtful look. "Come on Beautiful, do you want to test me?" he waited for her response and sighed." When we were tweleve you made fun of my aim. Or how about this...before you left the village you told me that I was a fool for staying and said there was no way in hell that I would become an excellent archer. Does that work for you Em?" he asked. "But I proved you wrong when I shot an apple off your head."

Emi processed the information and nodded. "I think so...but any archer would say that." she said.

Kenji sighed. "You have a scar on your left arm from your first mission as a scout. You broke your arm and Hideki and I had to keep you from crying. I tried to make you laugh at my lame jokes while she tried to make you a splint...do you believe me Em?" he asked sincerely.

Emi nodded as she gripped her arm.

Emi hesitated but nodded. "O-ok..." she said weakly. Kenji winced at his mistake.

"I sorry Em! I didn't mean to!" he said quietly.
