Coryn nodded. You can be a dragon for however long is necessary. he thought back to Kolan. Then he gained a concerned look. You said that a strong event or emotion can make the person get back to normal right? I'll try to change Karelym back while you're gone . . . and take Elyon with you. She might prove useful. he thought looking from Elyon to Kolan.
Elyon blinked seeing Coryn look from her to Kolan and wondered what in the world was going on. Karelym didn't seem to be like Karelym and she held onto her staff tightly.

Kolan, surprisingly, was apparently taking the situation seriously because he didn't so much as grin as he was granted permission. Alright then, be careful Coryn..a man who could make a potion such as this..is not a weak enemy..With that, Kolan shifted, flesh becoming scales as hair receded and he became the gleaming orange, fire-dragon once more, stretching out a bit. It felt good to be in proper skin. Kolan looked to Elyon, his voice a grumbling, loud sound once more, Elyon, I am going to look for the man who gave Karelym the potion, will you come with me?
Karelym rolled her eyes, "I can tell you're all mindspeaking. What? Letting me listen is going to ruin all your fun? Is that it?"

Elyon looked up at Kolan and nodded once before walking over to him and climbing up onto his back.
Coryn sighed and then moved a bit deeper into the cave. "Karelym . . . please remember who you are . . . don't you remember? We were childhood friends . . ." he said to her, his eyes soft and loving as he looked at her.

Kolan felt her on his back and rose, knowing Coryn was occupied so he gave only a nod as a goodbye as he headed to the mouth of the cave and then flew off.
Karelym rolled her eyes, pushing at his tail, "I remember you, the sniveling little boy who followed me around everywhere like a puppy." She smirked.

Elyon held on tightly as Kolan few off, gripping onto his scales. "What's going on with Karelym?" she called up so that Kolan could hear her.
Coryn whimpered. "Kar . . ." he whined but didn't let go. "What can I do to make you remember?" he muttered. "Kar . . . I saved your life remember? The first day we met?" he asked, trying to get the old Karelym back.

Kolan paused a moment before answering back, "She's under a contrary potion. All her emotions and actions are reversed, what once she loved she now hates for instance.." He had to pity Coryn. The little elf girl had his tail wrapped around her little finger, and he had to be hurting pretty bad..so much so that he couldn't help but trail a quiet, reassuring thought back, Don't worry, Coryn..if anyone could break a contrary potion, it's you and her..lovey dubby as you two are, the last bit although true, was meant as a light tease..for whatever good it would do the other.
Karelym shrugged, "So what? I am a princess. Saving my life is the duty of all of my subjects, even whelps like you."

"Oh . . ." Elyon said softly and then seemed to think about it. "That must be hard on Karelym . . ." she said in a thoughtful tone of voice and didn't realize it but she had ended up hugging Kolan's neck while she had been thinking.
Coryn sighed hearing Kolan. And then remembered something. You don't know what the guy looks like do you? I'm gonna try sending you the memory I have of him. he thought back and then brought up the memory of when Karelym was kidnapped and tried sending it along their link to Kolan.
Turning back to Karelym, he again tried to break her of the potion's effects. "Kar . . . even if you weren't the princess, I'd still save your life . . . I'd even give my life if it meant that yours would be spared, and . . . and I'd do it without a second thought too because . . ." he hesitated a moment, wondering why it was so hard for him to get the words out when they had flowed so freely before. Was it because he was afraid of the words of rejection that she might say if this didn't break the potion? Either way it was worth a try and he moved his head over to Karelym, tears springing, unbidden, to his eyes, and nuzzled her gently. "It's because I love you Kar . . ."

(O-o you know what I just realized..? This is my longest lasting roleplay ever! (post-wise) <3 ^_____^ *givez you a cookie and hugglez* <3)
Kolan heard that, glancing his currently serpentine eyes back before looking forwards again. "Coryn too, I'd imagine." He could feel Elyon..was acutely aware of her warmth and presence..of the way she felt against him..and then the hug? His tail twitched slightly, the only indication of his inner turmoil..wanting to dive down, shift, and kiss the silly girl again..But, that was foolish. She was a human, and Kolan stayed alone. He hated humans, she was afraid of heights.
It was a lion and lamb relationship, and he was going to be responsible for such a fragile little creature..and then that led him to think about who would be..and a flicker of jealousy coursed through him that made him growl for apparently no reason, scowling dragonishly. "Whiner," he grumbled, needing to vent his irritation on the vexing creature currently hugging his neck. He recieved the memory and put it to the forefront of his mind, on the lookout for such a man.
Karelym heard the words and nearly answered coldly, until the other had more tears as he nuzzled her..saying such sweet words..her eyes flashed violet for a moment, anguished and apologetic, "Co..r..yn..." She was struggling to speak, "I..m..sorr..y..I love you.." Karleym managed to say that clearly as the potion took over again, flashing her eyes reddish as she scowled, trying to move away. Karelym, the true Karelym, was apparently aware of what was going on while the false Karelym was taking over..and for a brief moment, she'd been able to gain control.

Elyon frowned. "What'd I do?" she mumbled and then noticed that she was hugging his neck. Blushing slightly she quickly sat up, looking down at the scales under her as her hands clenched onto them tightly.
Coryn's eyes snapped open as he heard Karelym, his Karelym, say his name. It hurt him to see her looking so anguished and only caused him to nuzzle his head against her even more. "Kar . . . You don't have to be sorry. Because no matter what you do to me and no matter what you say, I will always forgive you . . . and I will always love you, no matter the obsticles or challenges that get in the way . . . and . . . and . . ." he took a deep breath. He had been hoping to save this until he got his elven form back but . . . he knew that the true Karelym could hear him . . . and he wanted to break her of the potion so baddly. "And if I was back to my elf form, Kar . . . I would be on bended knee, holding your right hand gently in my own because . . . Karelym . . . w-when I get my elven form back . . . or even before then if you can't wait . . . I . . . I would like . . ." he paused and took another deep breath, finding that his words were getting mixed up. "What I'm trying to say is that . . . Kar . . . w- . . . would you . . . marry me?" he asked, his voice breaking on the last two words. He hadn't prepared for this . . . and he knew it probably wasn't the right time, but . . . something . . . was telling him to ask her.

(O_O That was..SO AWESOME! Adooooraaableeeeeeee. Agh! ^__^ What a cute couple, now I wanna draw them..AWW!) (p.s. SHOWER TIME! But I have late start tomorrow since people are taking PSATs so I can stay up later! A bitt..T__T It's stupid cause my mom scheduled an orthodontist appointment, so I only get to sleep in by like an hour instead of the almost three hours I would have gotten without it.)
Kolan heard the mumble and rolled his eyes, nearly grimacing as she moved away..if he'd just kept his mouth shut..her warm little body would still be holding his nec- NO! He was not going to think that way about the stubborn little female..no, no, no! "Nothing," he hissed lightly, though he sounded more sullen than angry.
Karelym could see and hear Coryn, but it was as if she was watching through another's eyes..unable to move or speak as her body moved and spoke..such cruel things..her heart ached for Coryn. And then she'd gained control for that brief moment..and then as the other spoke again, she listened. And nearly sobbed from inside herself. Coryn..her wonderful, sweet, loving Coryn..
And then the reddish eyes almost seemed to crack a moment at the irises, before shifting back and forth between colors rapidly as Karelym bent at the waist as much as was possible giving Coryn's holding her. Her face was cringing in pain, and she coughed several times, sounding pained as well..and then something came out as she coughed, a muddy, reddish ball that was apparently the solid form of the contrary potion. Karelym was cringing still, breathing heavily..and as she opened her eyes...
Shining violet orbs looked to Coryn, before filling with tears, "Silly, Cor. I love you so much..you're always saving me aren't you..always so good to me..You're so good and bright...the most wonderful person I've ever known..the only one that makes me go to bed smiling and wake up the same way..the only one that makes my heart beat faster and slower all at once..the only one that I long to kiss, to hold..the only one I've ever wanted to lie under the stars with..Coryn..I will, with all the happiness in my heart, marry you. Yes."
Karelym had tears streaming down her cheeks, but she was beaming and smiling widely, her eyes now filled with love..deep and unending..Karelym leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to his snout as she said softly, "I love you, my vyallah."

((Yeah . . . I gots testing tomorrow . . . but I get out early! mrgreen And probably the reason I was able to write that so well is because I'm a hopeless romantic. rolleyes ))
"Karelym . . ." Coryn growled out contently as he nuzzled her, his tail releasing its hold on her as happy tears streamed from his eyes. I knew you were in there . . . I was never going to give up . . . I love you with all my heart and soul, my vyallah. he thought to her, his tail stroking her hair gently, glad that she was free from the potion.
"Well why'd you snap at me then?" she asked, leaning forward a bit, trying to look around to see his face, although it was physically impossible. She was utterly confused by his behavior . . . although . . . it was kinda . . . ACK! What was she THINKING?! There was no way such annoying behavior could be endearing!

(O_o YAY for out early! What testing? AND HELLZ YEAH FOR HOPELESS ROMANTICS! *high fivez* o-O So who in the universe (real or otherwise) is your fantasy guy? (Mine's Jack Sparrow <3) (And then of course, Tsuzuki <3333)
Karelym heard the growl as the other nuzzled her, and she smiled lovingly at him. At the words, she nearly broke into tears afresh and she calmed herself by leaning into the nuzzle. Forgive me, Cor..I couldn't control myself..I watched as the contrary potion took on a life of it's own in my body. I love you so very much.. She pressed another kiss to him, longing for his elven form..feeling so small, so unable to show him the affection she so desperately wished to lavish upon her beloved..her vyallah..
Kolan rolled his eyes, "I-" Whatever he was going to say was cut off as he suddenly gave a little growl of pain, his body morphing mid-wing movement. And suddenly it shifted back into human form. Coryn had given him permission to be a dragon so long as was necessary..and Karelym was free, it was no longer necessary. They were going to fall, and if they hit the ground, they would almost certainly die...or perhaps..
Kolan grabbed Elyon from in the air, holding her with his back to her chest, "Hang on," he said in a strained voice, trying to concentrate..with his Bindings, it was hard to focus..especially in the human form that wasn't built for dragon magick..but he summoned as much as he could and there was a small tearing sound as their position changed and they were falling towards a lake, the same lake that the others had gone to. Not that Kolan knew that, "When I say so, take a breath and hold it tightly, when you hit the water, swim for the surface as hard as you can."
A moment passed by.."NOW!" He took a deep breath, feeling his body land in the water. He'd taken the blow to himself as he held Elyon, releasing her only once they were submerged, the icy water running over him..it was cold..and it reminded him of the times the humans had held him under water, wanting to know what it would do to the little fire dragon..fear overtook him, and he tried moving but he seemed unable to..the blow from hitting the water had temporarily numbed him, making it almost impossible to move..and more than that..water was just a natural fear of a fire dragon..choking..suffocating..icy..Kolan's eyes drifted he thought to Elyon's form as he thought to her, Lovely, and then his eyes closed..

Elyon held onto Kolan as they fell, trying not to scream and took a deep breath when he told her to, holing it as they hit the water. She noticed the Kolan had taken the blow for her, but the cold of the water had numbed her for a second. When her brain started working again, she headed up towards the surface like Kolan had told her to. She looked back when she heard his thought and her eyes widened as she realized that he wasn't coming up. She immediately turned in the water and swam as fast as she could down to him, grabbing his arm and pulling as she now tried to get both herself, and Kolan back to the surface. He really does need my protection doesn't he? she thought to herself as she stroked and kicked towards the surface, trying to ignore the burning sensation in her lungs that told her that she was running out of air.
Coryn licked her cheek and growled softly, looking at her with love in his eyes. You don't need to be sorry Karelym . . . I knew it wasn't you . . . he thought, trying to soothe her. I love you and I will always love you, even until the ends of time . . .

Kolan was cold..his body was going into a sort of shock..had he been a dragon, the fall would have been nothing..but then again, he wouldn't have fallen..or known Elyon either, would he? What an odd thought to have while he was dying..because surely he was..because when he forced his eyes open..he could see an angel..no..it was Elyon..comforted but a bit concerned, he forced his body with every ounce of strength he was capable of at the moment, sending them up to the surface.
He mumbled something incoherent, giving one last kick in the direction of the shore..before falling limp..his normally bright hair was a faded orange, his skin pale..and icy to the touch. More so than anyone's should have been from falling in..but water affected fire dragons differently. What was cold to a human, was icy to a dragon, and this water was icy to a human..and so for him, it was glacial. But even that wouldn't have stopped him, it was the thunderous blow he'd taken falling that had done the worst.
Karelym smiled, Time will never end for us, we'll always be together my love. She giggled a bit as he licked her cheek..wondering what it would feel like when he was in elven form..

When her head broke the surface, Elyon took a deep lungful of air, gasping, not seeming to be able to get enough of it. She pulled Kolan's arm over her shoulder to keep his head above the water and then noticed his pallid appearance. Her eyes widened. He looked . . . dead . . . still, she hoped that it wasn't too late to help him and started to swim for the shore, trying her best to keep Kolan's head above the water and swim quickly at the same time.
Coryn smiled back at her. I am glad . . . for I cannot bear the thought of ever being apart from you . . . in fact . . . it is inconcievable. he thought to her and nuzzled her gently.
Laura woke up slowly, fist noticing that there was someting warm and fuzzy laying next to her in bed. Then she realized that it was morning and she needed to get up. The next thing she noticed was that the warm fuzzy thing was breathing and judging by the air that was being blown lightly onto her face, the thing's nose was right next to her face. She opened her eyes and gave a bit of a startled squeak seeing a wolf in her bed . . . it's snout touching her nose and then her face softened, remembering that this was Rollan . . . her Rollan . . . he neera. She closed her eyes again and only cuddled up to him further, placing her head under his chn.
