Hideki looked down at the floor again. "I understand." she said quietly. Even though she was his wife, Hideki understood that there were things that Retsu could not tell her. She didn't know when or why he did this but she accepted it. She felt the baby kick again. "The baby has been kicking more this time..." she said with a small smile. "I guess the baby is just excited that your back."

Retsu laughed a little bit before giving a small smile. "I am excited to be back too." He sat down next to Hideki taking her hand into his. "No matter what happens now I should be able to stick around." He said confident in that fact.

Hideki squeezed his hand tightly and pulled Retsu into a quick hug. "I hope so." she whispered quietly. She pulled away from the hug with a small smile but she winced when she felt the baby kick again. "I guess he's excited..." she said taking Retsu's hand and placed it over her stomach so he could feel the baby kick. "See...?" she said

Retsu quickly hugged his wife as she hugged him. As she put his hand on her stomach he took a moment to feel the baby kick. His hand popped up a bit as he felt one of the kicks. "Oh wow....he is really active and has some strong kicks." He said a little surprised.

Hideki giggled. "He's going to be a handful like his father!" as she giggled at Retsu's reaction. "At least I think it's a boy...based on those kicks..." the medic said with a small smile. "You seem surprised..." she said placing a hand on her stomach once the baby stopped kicking. (for now!)

Drea shook her head slightly. "...V-villages aren't safe, if a lot of people are together, then S-SIN will attack them and their w-werewolves are even worse than the ones here... But they leave someone that's alone, alone because they can't find them... T-that's how we've been safe all these years..."

Kenji took a few steps forward. "You can't always stand alone, Drea. If you stay alone you are more vulnerable. Here at least you are surrounded by people who want to protect you and Shigure." he looked down at the ground and rand his hands through his hair. "Look maybe I haven't seen these werewolves before...but I know they won't hurt you!" he said firmly. "At least I won't let them."
Emi walked back into the cafeteria, she had calmed down a bit after she went outside and threw her dagger into a nearby tree. "That stupid archer!" she muttered under her breathe. "He shouldn't lead her on like that!" the bounty hunter raised an eyebrow at the unfamiliar man with Hideki. She realized that she should probably leave the two alone so she turned to Levin. "You look like you just saw a ghost..." she said studying the werewolf. "What's that in your hand?"

"T-thank you,... b-but..." Drea blushed, looking down slightly. I-...I'm not so sure... We've been safe for three years, almost four now... s-since then... and no one has even spotted us until Emi did before we showed her the way to that blue flame...

Levin ate the last of his food and looked up, and noticed another familiar face, "Retsu! Long time no see! It's been a long time now hasn't it?"

"...S-sometimes... even a group of people... or someone strong that knows how to fight can't do any good..." murmered Drea, hugging Shigure's neck as she continued looking down. "...My whole village working together wasn't enough to stop S-SIN and thier w-werewolves... But t-they haven't found me and Shigure because it's easier for a single person to hide... and one person isn't enough of a threat to be worth looking for..."

"Even a single person can be perceived as a threat regardless of who they are! It just depends on how people look at you!" Kenji said shaking her head. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "I understand you have been through a lot but you can't be a loner for the rest of your life!"

Drea bit her lip, squeezing her eyes tightly closed as her grip on Shigure's neck tightened. "B-but what else am I supposed to do?!"

Retsu smiled, "Yeah...I am surprised." He was really excited to soon be a father. Even though his life style would change a bit once the child would be born he didn't mind. He turned to Levin who was finishing up his food and waved. "It has been a long time. Good to see your still kicking."

Hideki smiled. "Ok...I'm going to head back to the infirmary and see if I can help out with any paper work." she kissed Retsu on the cheek and began to walk away from the group. As she was walking away the baby kicked again except it was more intense then before. "O-ow!" she winced. What was going on....? She wondered the baby kicked again with more force this time forcing Hideki to lean against the wall. "Oh my god...!" she had barely made it out of the cafeteria web that contraction hit. She needed to get to the infirmary.
Emi studied Hideki curiously. "Uh is she going to be ok?" she asked.
Kenji shook his head. "You need to trust me!"
