Speaking of avid fans, I have rapidly descended into avid fandom of BBC's Sherlock. Goddddd it's amazing. I could listen to Benedict Cumberbatch/Smaug talk all day long.

People say Sherlock is good, but the truth is, I never really enjoyed the mystery/crime genre. My mom's avid love of NCIS, and Murder She Wrote turned me away. I do like Chuck and Psyche though.

I never liked that genre, and I maintain that I hold no interest in NCIS, CSI, etc. This is a whole different game. I mean come on, it's Sherlock Holmes with a smartphone. The acting and writing are superb. Give it a try :3

Sherlock is absolutely a completely different kettle of fish. It basically takes all the greatness of the original Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novels/novellas and updates them to a modern milleau (sp?). BRILLIANT!

In other news, I should create a character for Random Adventures...just nothing is speaking to me at the moment. I'm out of practice. *sigh*

You know, I think my father has a collection - a box set - of the novellas somewhere. I bet they're in a closet somewhere.

I also really enjoyed the BBC Sherlock. Good times.

I also adore mystery books. Maybe not the more Crime lab versions of them, but I adore Murder She Wrote. And Detective Conan (Case Closed). My god, it's great.

Which is pretty strange considering I get really nervous when I don't know who's gonna get in trouble. But usually in those types of series, you don't have to worry (too much) about the main characters.

This whole witch story idea thing is taking weird turns in my head. And after today I won't have internet for a while, so I guess by the time I can log on regularly I might a actual coherent plot.

I've only seen the first 3 episodes of the new one, and I agree that it is looking good.

Happy Birthday, Welian! *gluggles*
