I love Soul Calibur IV. I just wish I could play Tira better because she's really fun but I can't get her stuff to flow together well. Probably because I'm a somewhat unabashed button masher....

I miss the peasant clothes of early Gaia and I miss how it was before gaia cash and evolving items. Also, where did monthly collectibles go?

Only the serious oldbies are still kind enough to remember peasant clothes, or the days when you set up an account and had ju~~~~~~~~st enough to buy a trading pass if you sold your peasant clothes and went nude for a while. Before starter packs, before homes, before rally, before having more than one shop, before gaia cash, before evolving items, before having multiple poses for items, before it all.

Damn I feel old.

Oh, and the monthly collectibles are still there, though I still remember calling them "Donation Items." As for the quality . . . that I don't know. It's been a while since a monthly item came out that truly made me want.

When I first started on Gaia, I was assigned Jade peasant clothes, I had green eyes, and short blue hair, and my username was SoundEXE - I was a huge Megaman fangirl after watching the anime on Saturday mornings. I remember being floored when someone gave me 2k for a fishing rod.

The Megas are a decent group doing some revamps of boss stage music.

I miss my "holyshityou'rehowstrong?!" dwarf I used to play. Without using legal loopholes or trickery, the character had a physical strength that was literally off-the-charts.

idea How about an explosion to break the silence? *readies C4*

I've never played a megaman game in my life... thinking about starting with mega-man X.

Megaman is a staple of gaming history. Perhaps a bit dated at this point, but still a basic idea that has spawned no less than ten games on it's own, each with 6-8 themed bosses. I've played most of them, and truly enjoy 8 the most. Still, a remake of them would be interesting. Supremely difficult, but interesting.

As for the X series, they took a lot and made it upgraded. The story is less cutesy, the difficulty is higher, and included ideas such as armor powerups. It also spawned Zero, the sword-wielding character that is quite popular. You get to control him in X4, and if you want to step into the series, that would be the best in my opinion for gameplay. It is slightly easier, and works well.

One of my favorite powers ever came from X2 . . . the armor bomb. With the chestplate upgrade (found in Morph Moth stage, incidentally weak to Flame Stag's weapon), you would absorb a small amount of damage when hit. That would charge a single-shot weapon that would nuke the screen. One rather pain-in-the-a** boss was made infinitely easier by nuking the screen and turning his defenses into nothing.
