"Food!" Sokka darted towards the tray, immediately shoveling it down his throat. The thrill lasted a few scoopfuls, but... it faded when he's eyes darted towards the prince.
Was he really... fine? Acting like that all the time...?
(( ^_^;; I suppose. Heh. We walked there too. Erm, it's a five minute ride. It's a sorta hard walk because we have to cross this busy street and go up all these big hills in the suburbs... but then we get there. It's nifty. =)
Heh. Awww... that sucks. But still, Arizona has some beautiful places. (Or so I've seen in pictures) Everywhere has it's redeeming qualities. I think you would enjoy it here though. *nod* Except right now maybe, it's a little cold... well, that day was warm, but it's unpredictable right now... ~_~;; ))

Zuko nodded to the employee, who proceeded to leave the room. He quietly went and sat down on his knees next to Sokka, beginning to eat without a word.
((Ah, if it's a five-minute ride, then we would make it to either a freeway or a Burger King where I live. XD;;
And yeah, up north here is really beautiful. If I ever get enough money to do so, I'd like to get a house up north for the summer and keep one down south for the other three seasons. I complain about Arizona a lot, but I've lived here my whole life, and I don't think I could ever leave. XD;; All my family lives here, and I'm more used to the heat than I am to the cold at this point. The desert can be pretty too if you go to the right areas. A lot of the cacti have pretty flowers, and we get a lot of birds and jack rabbits.
I'd love to go to your area. I love the ocean, and it looks just beautiful. <3 And I can stand the cold pretty well for an Arizona native. I've been in New York during the winter before, and it wasn't too bad. o.o Then again, it was that one year that it like didn't snow there at all... D: ))

Frowning, Sokka slowed down his rushed method of eating. "... You could show some emotion once in awhile..." He murmered bitterly to his companion. (( *wrinkles nose* That sucks... fast food is so lame~!!1 My best friend is a slave of Burger King!!! NOT COOL!!! I actually want to move, but come back. Like, move for a year or two, to somewhere else and then come back to California. I think it'd be more fun that way. *nod* Yea, my family went to Palm Springs, and they have gorgeous pictures. The desert is pretty, I never see anything like it here. I mean, we have what is considered, 'desert beach' weather... something that has to do with the dry heat and what not.. but yea, nothing actually deserty about it. You'd probably love Monterey Bay then! I know I do! I don't get to go there a lot, cause it's a bit of a drive. But they have an awesome Aquarium too. It's probably not as good as the San Diego one... (never been) but it is wonderful. GAH. I haven't been in so long, as you can see I really want to. I keep talking about it to my roomates. It's a really fun mini-vacation. We usually spend 3 days there or so. ^.^ Yea, I love the East Coast, so much fun. I love to see the differences between their big cities and San Fransisco. I went up to New England two years ago for Christmas, NO SNOW at all!! D: It was so weird. I was happy.... XD;; EDIT: Oh, but, y'know, the one place you NEED to go before you die, honestly, is my favorite vacation spot We go once a year, but because of swimming and other circumstances, I'm not going, yet my family is... T___T Next year I can go I suppose. But I'm still very sad. Hiking up one of the waterfalls was the most awesome experiences ever. I couldn't walk for three days after, but it was worth it!! XD; ))

XD Burger King, Sonic, and Subway... can't stand McDonald's or KFC or Taco Bell or any of that though... That could be interesting, trying other states out for a while. :3 Mmm... well, my area of Arizona is more suburb and less desert. This is generally how the nicer areas look. We need to go about a half hour north to get to the real deserty parts, which look more like this. Then, if you go even more north, about a couple hours, it doesn't even look like Arizona. You get more this. I haven't really been further north than that, and the furthest south I've gone is to Phoenix, which is only about a half-hour drive. Phoenix is the only real 'city' we have, but it's not that great. The Grand Canyon is pretty far north from me as well, coming shortly before the area where there's pine trees and snow. Meteor Crater is far enough north where it snows, but not far enough to have more pine trees than desert. It's really weird. X_x Oh, Monterey Bay looks gorgeous! I'd love to go there! *_* And I've only been to an Aquarium once, but that was in Hawaii and I was too young to remember. XP I love San Diego too though. :3 Really nice zoo. I've only been to New York, DC, and Maryland as far as the East Coast goes, but I really loved all three of them, especially Maryland. (went to Baltimore) It was nice because we could actually like... walk everywhere instead of driving. XD;; You can't do that here. Just walking to the nearest store here would take about forty-five minutes. I've always wanted to go to a national park! D: That looks soooo cool! Too bad you can't go this year. The only vacationing I really do anymore is going to Flagstaff (the area of Arizona with pine trees and snow) every year in February because my brother rents a house there for a couple weeks. My family always used to go camping, but we've gotten too busy. We've gone to Disney Land and the beach and stuff too in the past, but we don't do that anymore either. All of my recent vacations have been things I went to alone and payed my own money for, like New York and Maryland. XD;; ))

Well, actually, I want to try new countries also.... Wah! But your suburbs look so nice! We do have small areas that look like that, but mostly cause they plant palm trees... it's not so deserty looking, it's more wanna be desert looking... XD;; But I really like the way your suburbs look, ours are bllleh. They used to be okay until the gov't started chopping down all the trees... crying The snow area looks so beautiful! I can't believe it snows there.... XD; That sounds super weird. Mhm, but the city is so tiny looking, pretty but tiny... ~_~ No offense, hun. If it makes you feel better SF is probably hecka dinky compared to like NYC... Which I might go to this summer!!! =D Hehe, I'm exited. Yes, it's so fun. The beach is actually swimmable also. Erm I don't get to swim in the ocean much. SF beaches = freezing cold water + giant waves that keel yoooou + lots of fog + high winds. Usually we where jackets to the beach. And sit in the sand and make stuff... @_@ Ah, but you've hit some of the nicest ares of the east coast. Maine is very lovely you should check that state out some time as well. I can't believe your parents don't take you on vacations though! We go on at least 2 a year, usually either Twain Harte or New England in August, and Yosemite in the spring. Once in awhile we take a weekend trip, like Monterey. *nods* Twain Harte is basically a small town in the Sierra Nevada mountains. We usually rent a cabin, and stay for a couple weeks. Its pretty chill. We bring a bunch of friends and go to the lake. Oh... actually, this and this are the craptastic photos I took of the lake. And my craptastic friends are in them. Har. Our cabin last year was friggin' American.... x_X you wouldn't believe it... so American... red white and blue on the interior and exteoir. Me and TMI stepped in and we were just "ZOMG. THIS CABIN IS IN AMERICA! And the jokes went on all week. What sucks is that I was really sick. I had a fever and pink eye, so I wasn't allowed to swim or do diddly squat. ~_~ It sucked... at least I was suffering in a pretty place...? ^^;;; Heh. Damn you, I totally wanna vacation now. It'd be fun to do a road trip all over the US. Ooo , I know! I can convention HOP!!! =D ))

((I don't like spicy things, so most Mexican food doesn't do it for me. Which sucks because we have a lot of Mexican restaurants here. XP
Well, that picture was from one of the really nice suburbs. They're usually not that nice. We only have so many gated communities, and not all the areas have that many palm trees. But yeah, people are always surprised when they find out it snows in Arizona. XD;; But since it's up north and we usually only go up north in the summer, I've only seen snow about... eight times? And yeah, our 'city' is tiny tiny. XD I've been to NYC and Phoenix has got nothin' on it. But that's okay. I don't like cities so much. They're fun to visit, but I could never live in one. But Phoenix isn't fun... it's just... gross and scary.
That's cool that you go on so many vacations. I live in a family of money-hoarders, so we're always careful about spending. If we go on vacation, we plan it like a year in advance and make sure we have the right finances and everything. Not to mention we're always too busy these days to leave for too long. X_x My parents are almost always working, which is nice because I usually have the house to myself, but sometimes I wish we could do more together. Whenever they are home I'm usually at school... I generally leave earlier in the morning than them, but they get home later than I do. ANDOMGITSBANDITKEITHSHOUSE!!!1 *foams at mouth* I. Want. That. Cabin. Oh, but I'm sorry you were sick. D: I hate being sick, and it seems to happen to me a lot while I'm on vacation.
Gosh, I wanna vacation now too! gonk Ah, but no road trips... XP I could never do a road trip. I hate cars too much. It would seriously drive me crazy. I'd really rather just take a plane to wherever I'm going.))

Sorry that your family is like that... a lot of my friends have families who don't really hang out or anything also. Like the friends I brought on vacation with me, they were so happy to travel and such. And they are officially obsessed with my dad's 'famous' tri-tip.... XD;;
Yes, it was totally American. Except our room. Which was Coffee themed, biiitch!!! XD; I was sooo happy.

Ah, well, but you don't understand see... I have the same mentality as my parents. XD;; I save money like crazy, always afraid to spend it... I mean, sure, we'll die eventually, but saving money responsibly insures a more comfortable life in the future... erm... before we die. XD;;
It's okay. I don't see my parents as often, but we're actually closer than a lot of families. o.o And we have brought friends camping before and stuff. It just hasn't been as often lately.
Really? XD I love planes. I mean... they do get cramped after a long flight, but they're so much nicer than cars, and taking off and landing is fun. :3))

((It's pretty good. I really like wiener schnitzel. X3 And contrary to popular belief, that is not a hotdog. It's breaded porkchop that's pounded really flat, and then they often put sauce and mushrooms on it. <3 Oh, and jäger schnitzel is good too. It's similar to wiener schnitzel, but they use different meat and sauce. I can't stand any types of wurst though (sausages), which is really popular in Germany. XP
My friends often yell at me for being too cheap... >.>;; A lot of times I'll refuse to go see movies with them because I don't want to spend the money. XD;; ))

OMG, ME TOO. I NEVER go to the movies unless it's something I really want to see. Like Harry Potter or Potc... or anything with Johnny Depp. And like, I would've paid to see 10,000 BC cause they had some Egyptian bits in it and... yea... I'm like obsessed. Other than that, I hate going to the movies. 10 bucks aint worth it. Video games are better!!! =) And manga lasts longer! *nod* My only reckless spending is on Starbucks a couple times a week... >>;; ... I can't help it... I need it... ))

((I don't like mushrooms plain, but I love them in soup and on pizza and that kind of stuff. <3 Porkchops are okay, but they have to be cooked well. I could probably live without meat too, except chicken. XD;; I love chicken as well, though apparently people with my blood type shouldn't eat it. o.o I like steak a lot too, I gotta admit, and I'll eat a lot of other meats like pork and turkey. But the only one I couldn't do without is chicken. I actually am liking meat a lot more than I used to. Like I used to not be able to stand hotdogs, bacon, ham, or roast beef. Now I can tolerate the first three, and I love roast beef. XD;; Ah, but hotdogs are still the only sausage I can eat. Can't even stand pepperoni. XP Actually, I hate any meat on pizza. I'll eat mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, pineapple, corn, or spinach on pizza, but no meat. Yech. But yeah, I could probably be a vegetarian, but I don't feel any urge to become one.
I'll go to the movies for important things also. XD;; Like the YUU*GI*OU movie... but that was mostly because I wanted the free cards... >_>;; And it was worth it for the Harry Potter movies, Lord of the Rings, Shutter, Pan's Labyrinth, Lady in the Water... and a few others. :3 Overall though, I'll wait for it to come out on DVD. Even then I usually just rent 'em. Most of my money goes to video games or books. They both last longer. I hardly ever buy food though... I usually just eat at home, and back when I would stay at school for lunch I would just pack my lunch...))
