Unafraid of Dreams (1x1) (Daringly Filled)

Selina giggled as the younger children approached Laung and poked him. "I think they like you." she whispered to Laung.

Laung looked up at Selina and then gently smiled at her before looking at the children as they carried on poking him. He didn't want to scare them and so therefore remained silent. A few of the younger ones started trying to climb on Selina's lap

Selina smiled before standing from her seat and sitting down on the floor so all the children who wanted to sit around her would be able to. "What sort of improvements are all of you hoping for?" she asked, wanting to hear what the children wanted.

The children all mumured together, collective ideas all going through one collective mind almost. One of the children looked up at Selina "can we live in a house?" she asked softly as she crawled on to Selina's lap.

Selina smiled as she picked up the little girl and put her in a better position on her lap. "Of course you can." she said with a bit of a giggle. "Everyone should be able to live in a house. Each family should have a house of their own." she said with a smile, running her fingers through the child's hair, trying to get out any tangles as gently as she could.

The child winced once as she felt a tangle in her hair being pulled but made no comment about it. "Can we have food and blankets?" she asked again looking up at Selina. "I would like to be warm, like here"

Selina continued to smile and she nodded. "Of course." she said softly, continuing to run her hands through the little girl's hair.

The child snuggled up to Selina and wrapped the dirt covered arms around the elder woman. "your nice" she whispered. "Did you have a mummy and daddy once?" she asked softly

Selina closed her eyes before opening them and smiling down rather forcedly at the child. She was trying very hard to hide the pain the subject of her parents brought. "Yes I did . . ." she murmured softly, hugging the little girl back, trying to blink away tears that the memories were bringing.

The girl frowned as she saw the smile and then started to trace it with her fingers "why are you so sad? Do you need your mummy and daddy now?" she asked, which drew a long hiss out of Laung but he still stayed silent

Selina's smile slipped and she bit her lower lip a little. "I . . . don't have my mother or father anymore . . ." she murmured softly, the tears getting harder to hold back.

The girl frowned "why?" She asked totally innocent of what had happened. She didn't understand why Selina was mumuring either

Selina hugged the little girl to her. "It's . . . okay . . . it was a long time ago . . ." she whispered as the tears fell down her cheeks.

The girl frowned again "where are your mummy and daddy?" she asked almost demanding that she knew now. She really wanted to know as well

Selina sighed. "They're . . . somewhere far away . . . in a place where I can never see them again . . ." she murmured softly.
