I have no clue who Ash's dad is. But it COULD be Oak. I mean, he and Delia DO seem pretty close. I guess they just didn't tell who his dad was to make people like us sit around and ponder about it. The Giovanni theory is a good one, too.

Giovanni or Oak. Those are my thoughts. ^^'' I''ve actually theorized that it''s Oak for a long time, because I thought it was funny. xd
Or his dad could be dead. I wish they would reveal things like that in the show instead of just crapping out new continents over and over.

Okay, that's Jim Carey (not sure if I spelled his name right) in the back seat, and I don't know the guy's name but I've seen him in a coupe movies already...the one in the passenger seat...I have NO idea who that is in the driver's seat. sweatdrop Yeah I can see it now, Jim Carey as Ash's father...or one of Jim Carey's characters, Bruce Almighty...now that's just wrong... whee Personally, if you ask me, I think it's the current Pokemon Master. I am unsure if Lance mentioned of someone who has beaten him once...but if he did in the show, that might be Ash's father... sweatdrop

I personally think it's Giovanni. Oak's too old, and it'd be even creepier, considering that he and Ash were childhood friends of a kind, for those who've seen the 4th movie.
If I had to go with aanybody else, maybe one of the other Professors, Elm or Birch?

I seriously need help with this too! Just recently, i watched a pokemon chronicles episode, and saw three major hints towards oak and delia. I was totally against this, but I guess I had to accept it....(but but...but...Delia....she's...so...sweet... gonk ) but then when I let my best friend watch it, then we watched the fourth movie together, we thought they had no resemblence whatsoever.....O.o;;;;;
The conclusion we came to: Ended up we made a silly story about how ash's father is out there, still wandering around, catching pokemon and winning battles, and here's delia, after her husband left, she's fallen in love for an old coot like Oak...>.O;;; lolz blaugh rofl
