Is there really a big problem with it?
Or is it just a southern thing.
Because today I was talking to my boyfriend, who's white, and I heard his mum say "Katie's a sweet girl & all. But I want you to date a white girl."
That's not the first time this has happened to me.
But it just kind of hurts when people say that.
And I'm half white, so it's not that big of a deal.

What do you think?

That's ******** up. That's not right to say to your child to date another person of the same color, specially considering that the person makes you happy or vise versa. Technically I think it is still a big problem, regardless of the southern thing. If you look around, including the rest of the world, it sucks. Its like 60 versus 40. 60 same race, 40 mixed. Idk.

Regardless of what I say, that's not right that she should say that, almost sounds racist. I'm sorry.

That's not true, to what you say...my dad is white, and my mom is philippino yet her entire family never liked my dad. They were not willing to get to know him as a person because he was white. Thats the reason why my parents fought each other every minute of every day, and ended up getting a divorce. They fought whenever the topic was anywhere near about her family, and the s**t that they do. Now they don't fight as much, but when they do its through me. Now she is married to another white guy, and her family loves him.
