I actually don't really like them. They don't say me that much. But I do have them lying around and I suspect that once I get a better understanding of them they'll be great. It's been like that with a lot of classical.

u need to listen to them alot to really appreciate them. i really had to listen to neptune alot to like it

That it correct. Jupiter is pretty easy to appreciate. But Saturn and Neptune take a while to get used to. Those two and Venus are my favorite songs ever.

When I first started out with classical, all I liked was the Requiem and that has a certain catchy value. I had to teach myself how to listen carefully, and even now there are things I don't listen to very well because I'm confused or distracted by it.

So I've always though becoming more closely acquainted to what I'm listening to will be good before I judge it. And so I ended up hailing JS Bach as one of the greatest geniuses of music I've ever heard, when at first I thought his music was kinda "performing monkey for the aristocracy".

He has a special place with me now. So it's definitely worth it sometimes.
