all incredibly wrong. But it was what I had expected.

So your saying Leprechauns didn't originate from Irish folklore... and that Guinness isn't a well-known Irish beer?

Irish stereotypes? I know they're wrong, but still, I can't resist.

Um, wattle and daub houses on green hills, lots of dark haired women named Brigit, and err, stepdancing. *Ducks an incoming penny whistle*

Three pages and we're already off-topic.

Indeed.

And Thaxul I will just go for the obvious one of constant drinking. Lol wink

My mom thinks all Irish drink nonstop and all Catholics drink nonstop,
and that all Catholics are Irish.

...I wonder what gave that impression. rolleyes

Do people think we still live in Medieval times?

We do have irish dancing.

Longbow, I can't see that picture.

Blame the books. And no, actually, I don't think that's how people live nowadays, but it's like, what's the first thing that comes to mind, and that's it.

So, what's the fist thing you think of when you're old I live in California?

If I'm a moaning jerk, so be it, but we do have an off-topic thread, guys. The general idea was that off-topic posts would go there, instead of polluting the actual discussion threads.

This thread? I liked it. It was a topic that could have been easily discussed, what with us being Literates. Tragically, it has been horribly derailed and I woefully regret ever mentioning tea breaks.

Like I said, if I'm an a** for saying it, so be it.

I agree with you Falathrim but once someone starts an idea it is just too much fun to get back on topic.
