I used to love rap but ever since 2002 I've been a pop fanatic. Rap just seems so ignorant now but I still like certain songs if I ignore the words.

Ok, so i was listening to my radio when i heard one of the deejays ask the other deejay if he or she liked rap. He/she said she liked rap, but also liked pop. So he/she asked the radio audience if they liked rap or pop and why. What your answer?
Both.

Personally, typing the comment that you did. You seem no more 'open minded', as we may call it I guess, than the rap songs that you don't like. I hope you do realize that rap on the radio isn't the only rap of 'today'. There are still a lot of non-mainstream rappers that are pretty god damn amazing and not really that 'ignorant'.

i see how you feel, i like rap but not all the time. then again all genres have downsides (rock can get depressing, rap is ignorant, techno has no words usually, and can sometimes be creepy ect...) but i have learned to like right about everything.
