You have to love emotions when they do things like that to you. I have people like that in my life too. Your mind and hope I will rend, in this I count the ways...
I wish I had known you as shadow...
Desolate and hollow...
A being easily ignored and disregarded...
Against your hate I would be guarded...
Not affected while you were shallow...
I wish I had known as you as a teacher...
Nothing like the insolent preacher...
A person in which I could confide...
A being that I needn't hide...
But instead, you became my pain's tether...
I wish I had known you as a parent...
Caring and kind, traits wishfully apparent...
Believing in the potential of my mind...
Taking the time to know my kind...
But in authority, my heart you took for rent...
I wish you were a sibling...
A friendship continually lingering...
A friend when I was in need...
Who helped my curiosity to feed...
But you were too pitiful in your simpering...
I wish you were a companion...
Our strength like a champion...
A bond that would never cease...
Our happiest moments, numerous like a flock of geese...
But betrayal caught upon me, only playing the guardian...
I wish you were a lover...
A timeless, passionate fever...
How I wish I could feel your heart against mine...
The skin between our souls but a thin line...
But that was a dream, long dead and over...
I wish you were dead...
A horrible pestilence that I dread...
Comatose in your meaningless existence...
This night, I shall make no recompense...
For your soul is as dull as lead...
Lastly, I wish too that my life would cease...
For it has already bent too hard on the crease...
I feel the tearing and gnashing of bone...
A horrible, melancholy tone...
A sorrowful wraith, howling for release...
And when all is said and done...
Slowly I raise this silver gun...
The wolf will die on this full moonlight...
Please God, let him hear this plight...
May never another walk along this path I run...
For they will ever wish for the same...
And that wish...they will never tame..."

Anaithnid Miuil It is dark, I like it what is the inspiration if I might ask? It was a mixture of a lot of stuff way back when. I had been going through a lot of crap with my family, friends leaving me, love interests stabbing me in the back, it was a load of junk that was going on and I was just in a very hateful mode when I wrote this. I've kept this poem as a reminder of what my life used to be like, and what I no longer am and I consider it to be one of my best works on my deviant that I felt I should share here. Glad you liked it ^-^

In pain, we erect barriers to keep fear out...
Four little things to the eyes,
Why is it that this cycle lasts,
When destiny denies our whims,
Leaving a grave behind it...
We never know what lies ahead,
A sorrow we all regret,
For our eyes were blotted long ago,
And memories were swept away with our pain...

Sadly that's the nature of the internet...DA provides a creative commons closure, but it doesn't stop it from being leaked to other people. When you post something, or create something on the internet, you pretty have to live with that it could get stolen, copied or edited for someone's own use.
