[Zahzi]

"Aww...That sucks..." Nick said with a sigh, ignoring Vidic.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"You two can chat later." Vidic grunted as he turned his head towards Miss Summers.

"Now would you kindly get back on the machine, Miss Summers."


"Well... I have two options for the both of you." He sighed.
"Either do as I say with no resistance, or I put you in a coma, force you onto the machine, and leave you to die."  

[Zahzi]

"Yes...So we don't even get a choice huh, MISTER SUNSHINE?"  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Let me make it simple. Life or Death."  

[Zahzi]

"Life? Riiiiiight...We do this and we're FREE to go...Even a drunken monkey would know better..."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"I could be in need of your bodies and genetics once again. It'd be foolish to kill you off."  

[Zahzi]

"Uh-huh...What if we just off ourselves, leaving you with nothing?" Nick asked, raising an eyebrow.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"So argumentative..." Vidic sighed heavily, shaking his head.

"Let me show you what my company is doing." He said, giving a closed eye smile.
"Lay down on the Animus, the machine you are on Mister Grant and the machine you ran away from, Miss Summers."

"...Somehow I got a bad feeling..." The woman grunted, slowly getting up and walking back to the Animus, laying down on top of it.
"Not like I got much choice anyway."  

[Zahzi]

"Ehh, if you went to attack him I'd help ya, Lady..." Nick said with a smirk, laying down.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"I'd rather know what the ******** is going on before I act." The woman grunted as two glass screens rolled out from beside their heads and in front of their eyes.

In a moment, Abstergo's logo came up once again, before a screen was opened, collections of pieces of a double helix lined up into one.

"...So... What the ******** am I looking at here, Doctor Sunshine?"

"VIDIC! And you're looking at the opening screen of the Animus. Through here, you can jump straight into any memory hidden away and locked within your genes."

"...Uh?"  

[Zahzi]

"I think what Mister Sunshine is trying to imply is this is like some video game..." Nick said with a grunt.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"The controls work like that, yes." Vidic sighed, giving up all together now on trying to correct his name.
"Early tests found you lazy Assassins work better with game controls.." He grunted, before he began pacing between the two.

"Can either one of you tell me what exactly a memory is?"

". . .The, uh.. A recollection of something for someone."

"Good! The woman has a brain. This is a first! Now, how do you explain animal migrations when the creatures themselves have no recollections of the events?"  

[Zahzi]

"Animal instinct, Sunshine."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Wrong~" Vidic said with a tune, as a small animation began to play on the screens: it should a human figure with their arms stretched out, spinning as a line pointed to a random part of their body, and showed an image of DNA.

"After long sessions of tests and experiments, I've found it's not animal instinct, but rather recollections of past events." He said with a proud tone.

"But how is this possible if the animal is doing this for the first time? Simple: The memory is within their genetics. This genetic memory is what guides the animal."
