"ah yes. Ambrosia for life, Nectar for skeletal, physical, and elemental support, and elements for powers." he smiled

the twins looked at him and nodded. "right... that's what our dad said." they whispered, giving a soft sigh as they remembered their dad.
"well, since we were always so happy, we never felt the need to cause distruction or kill."
"and of course, that just made eris pissed."
"we were able to live happily for about two hundred years, up until we started to look like we do now anyways.."
"then she decided that if we weren't going to cause destruction and be her ideal elementals that she'd make us do what she wanted."
"that's when the beatings started. if we started to act too happy and girly, she'd bring us to her toyroom and make one of us watch as the other was cut to pieces or beaten into unconciousness."

he gasped "thats horrible!" as he hugged both of them "well, if that ever happens again, i'll be here for you guys"

"it was terrible. but we soon found out"
"that ain't the worst of what she could do."
"that's her being nice."
"we lived lik that for about two thousand years"
"and then eris was starting to get bored of just causing blizards and heat waves or other such things we can do"
"so she made our sisters..."
"we knew they were going to end up like we had"
"so we took them away..."
"hid them from her"
"naturaly she found out"
"and beat us both until we were on the virge of dying."
"but that was only after she'd linked our minds together so we'd expierience not only our pains but the others' as well."
"and then while we were healing she made us watch as she tourtured the girls... who looked like they were two at the time..."
the girls were crying into his chest as they told him the rest of their story and they shivered, glancing to the door as if they expected their mother to come bursting in to take them away any moment.

he held them closer, and reading there minds told them "i won't let her take you away. i have ways i've delt with people like her before. i know how they work. i'll protect you guys" he said trying to comfort them

"thanks..." rose muttered, holding him tightly with one arm as she dried her eyes with her other hand.
"y-yeah.. that's good to know" lilly mumbled,leaning against him, tears still streaming down her face.

he smiled "go ahead and cry, if you need to. we're the only ones here, its ok" he kissed the top of their heads

"i-i'm alright..." rose mumbled even though she leaned against him as well.
lilly smiled and tilted her head up so that when he kissed her, it would be her lips.
we're still linked together you know... they thought quietly, kissing him softly.

he kissed Lilly back, a little surprised when she tilted her head up. he thought back yeah, i know.

hearing his thoughts, the twins smiled softly, and held onto him.
a few tears still streaming down lilly's face as she calmed down
rose sighed and wipped away her sisters tears. "no need to cry sweet one" she whispered, smiling as she used the childhood nickname she'd given lilly.

he held both of them close "i promise you, nothing will befall on my watch" he smiled

"thank you" the girls whispered, holding him tightly.

he smiled and held their hands "your welcome" he whispered, kissing rose then lilly

the girls both kissed him back but they made it a bit different this time by mixing a small amount of their elements into the kisses.

he felt the fire from Rose's Kiss and the ice from Lilly's. he backed off for a second and breathed "wow, ive never had kisses like that before" he smiled. he reached into his mouth and pulled out a small ice cube and laughed
