Silverfeather put her claws into the dirt. "It's going to be hard for me to watch them run into battle one day." She mewed as she kept an eye on the kits.
Spottedkit put got to her paws and pounced on Brightkit and Thornkit. "I will save my clan!" She mewed then looked at her brother, "Hey, Nightkit is still half asleep lets wake him up." She mewed quietly.
Nightkit lifted his head hearing his sister mummer to the other two kits. "What are you up to now Spottedkit?" He yawned and got to his paws.

Moonwhisper nodded regretfully, "battle is not pleasant, i do not know how i could go on if they died" she said softly imagining the heartache she had when Adderfang had died, that had been bad enough but her kits would be worse she knew.
Brightkit grinned and launched herself at the disgruntled Nightkit, holding him down she play snarled, "now i shall kill the brave Nightkit" she said laughing.
Thornkit laughed wildly and threw himself at Spottedkit, knocking her over he skipped back before her paws could knock him down.

Silverfeather gave a low sigh, "I'm sorry, I did not mean to bring up any memories." She purred out then put the tip of her tail on Moonwhisper's shoulder to comfort her.
Spottedkit got to her paws and waved her tail at Thornkit to tackle Brightkit together. She smiled, "I'll save you Nightkit!" She yowled and leaped at brightkit.
Nightkit shook his head and he was wide away, his frown turned to a smile as he mewed, "Stay back Brave Spottedkit!" He pawed Brightkit making her fall down softly. When she was out of the way He noticed his sister had already leaped and they crashed into another. They both got up and looked at another then laughed.
Blackfeather kept her glanze on the clouds then to the kits making sure they weren't going to far.

Moonwhisper sighed, "it's ok it's my fault for thinking about him" she said a small smile breaking her stiff face.
Brightkit squealed as she was knocked off and the two siblings crashed into one another. Grinning she lept at the unprotected back of Spottedkit making them both roll.
Thornkit smiled and yowled, "I'll save you Spottedkit" before jumping atop Brightkit and pulling her away from Spottedkit. Then squealed as Brightkit turned on him.
"Im going to get you Thornkit" Brightkit squealed knocking her brother to the ground.

Silverfeather gave a smile back and layed down to watch the kits. She heard her stomache start growl, "Moonwhisper, do you want me to get some fresh kill for you too?" As she rose to her paws. Silverfeather felt a close friendship with moonwhisper.
Spottedkit gave a smile as she watched Brightkit knock over Thornkit. "Now I'll save yo-" She was cut off as Nightkit got up and pinned Spottedkit down. She gave a mew of surpise.
"You turned you're back Spottedkit! Rawr! I'm a fox!" He yowled as his sister laughed and used her hind legs and pushed him off and got to her paws.
"I don't fear no fox!" She watched nightkit get to his paws. She took the time she had before he got up to help thornkit up. "Lets get these two, Thornkit!" She yowled.

Moonwhisper nodded in thanks and smiled, "thank you Silverfeather" she mewed softly.
Thornkit grinned and launched himself at Nightkit knocking him off of Spottedkit. The two toms rolled over the ground laughing as they did.
Brightkit smiled maliciously and lept at Spottedkit making them fall to the ground. she held the she-kit down with her paws and yowled victory.

Silverfeather padded out of Nursey and to the fresh kill pile. She grabbed two freshkill and padded back to the nursey making sure not to disturp the kits. She dropped one of the fresh kill at Moonwhisper's feet.
Spottedkit mewed and kicked Brightkit hard enough to knock her off with her hind legs but not enough to hurt her. She got to her paws and jumps on brightkit before she could get up and smiled.
Nightkit continued to roll around on the ground with Thornkit intill they hit the edge of the nursey, he got up to his paws and mewed an ow for he hit his head on the nursey. Nightkit shook his head and looked at Thornkit to make sure he was ok too.

Moonwhisper smiled her thanks and bit into the scrawny black mouse, leaf-bare was always hard considering the food was small and had barely any meat.
Thornkit yelped as they crashed into the nursery, "oops" he said before jumping on Nightkit again.
Brightkit had landed sprawled on the ground and feigned being hurt so Spottedkit loosed her grip, grinning almost madly Brightkit used her strong back legs to launch the she-kit off of her.

Silverfeather sat down and bit into the freshkill mouse and looked up at the moon. "How long till you're kits are Apprentices." She mewed then bit into the mouse again.
Nightkit rolled to his side and began the rolling of the two toms again.
Spottedkit landed on her legs and looked at thornkit and Nightkit. "Hey Brightkit. I think they're getting a little too serious." She mewed, Then gave a laugh. "Maybe they will be rivals one day." she turned to look at Brightkit.

Blackfeather got to her paws and padded to the freshkill pile. She grabbed a mouse and began to eat it. As she took bites she kept an eye out for the cats. 'Everything is so calm today.' She thought taking another bite and smelling the air. The scent of her clan mates surrounded her and made her relax.

Nightshade looked up from where he was showing his apprentice a defence move as the smell of dog entered his nose. With a sharp intake of breath he tore off in the direction of camp. He skided to a stop inside the camp and yowled for his clan mates, "we need all warriors, queens take your kits inside and one of you join the fight, we need every apprentice, we dont have much time until the dogs get here" he said although he wasn't leader he was the deputy and he wasn't about to let his clan mates die.
Moonwhisper hurridly husstled her kits inside the nest, ignoring their protests. She looked at Silverfeather and nodded, "i will join the fight, you stay here" she told her as she ran out into the middle of the clearing.
Thornkit didn't like that he had to go inside but he was also scared as he curled up next to Nightkit.
Brightkit ran into the nursery at Nightshades call, she hunched down next to the other kits fear pulsating through her.
Foxpaw lurched out of the apprentice den at Nightshades call and hurridly joined the line that was forming in front of the entrance.

Silverfeather gave a nod knowing it was best to keep every kit safe. She got into a crouch ready to attack anything that tried to get into the Nursey and attack any kit. She put the tip of her tail on Spottedkit's shoulder who was shivering with fear. "Calm down, I won't let anyone hurt any of you." She purred trying to calm down all the kits.
Nightkit gave a low hiss as he watched the entance to the nursey. "Don't Worry Thornkit, My mother will help us and you're mother is out there being a hero!" He mewed trying to comfort Thornkit.
Spottedkit looked at her mother then to Nightkit and Thornkit. "If any dog trys to get in here i'll claw it's eyes out!" She yowled trying to seem like a brave kit, but the scent of fear could be smelt off her.
Blackfeather looked around the camp making sure every kit was in the nursey then dove back to the medical den to make sure no cat was hiding in there. With that she rushed outside and got ready for the attack to defence her clan.
