I remember them being extraordinary people. They were both beautiful. I inherited my mother's thick, curly hair. My nose is exactly like my fathers. That's all I can remember about them. If I try any harder then my mind completely blanks. I have always known that I am different. I'm not some mindless teenager, or some flaky adult. Everything's so gray in the world, and it's like I'm a burst of color. I've never had true friends, moving different places month to month. The families I've been with have always been kind to me, but they weren't my parents. They were strangers, they were like robots. Going through the daily routines without actually feeling. They thought they loved me, they thought that I was their child. It was depressing really. I don't understand this world I live in. I hate being the only one who can actually think for myself. It's so hard talking to kids at school, so eventually I just stopped. I make sure I keep my distance, and talk as little as needed. I think I'm going insane.
Every month I go to a different home. But the next year it will be the same homes every different month. So I was really shocked when I woke up in a new home one month. My 'parents' were kind enough. The house was small, and I was expected to do the cleaning. My 'father' woke me up in the morning for school, he seemed more caring than the mom. He made me breakfast and even gave me a kiss on the forehead before I left. The woman just stood back with a fake smile plastered on her pretty little face. But the strangest thing happened. There were others like me. They could speak freely, and they thought for themselves. I quickly became friends with a girl in particular, Emma Jean, and two boys, Aaron and Alex. Now I'm just waiting for this Ko guy to get here and tell us all what to do. • • •xxx• • • I am bi-polar. Some moments I'm the sweetest, most talkative girl you could know. But then in the blink of an eye, I'm angry, and resentful. I have a hot temper that can get the better of me sometimes. I can be cold and stand offish at times, I really don't mean to. I guess it's from being so isolated from people for so long. Which is my fault. I don't trust these mindless robots. It's hard to talk to people that are like me because I'm so guarded. I can't communicate well with the others that are like me. It's too hard. But I'm trying, and I'll try to keep my anger at bay and keep the sweet girl out in the open. To sum this all up, I really don't know who I am.• • •════════════════════════════════════ xxxxxxxxxx•Like ✔ the Wind ✔ Books ✔ Cats ✔ Singing

White as Snow And the red looked pretty upon the white snow, and she thought to herself, would that I had a child as white as snow, as red as blood, and as black as the wood of the window-frame. And now Snow White lay a long, long time in the coffin, and she did not change, but looked as if she were asleep, for she was as white as snow, as red as blood, and her hair was as black as ebony.

Christian Serratos
Long ago, the world was run by magical beings, humans being the lowest life forms. There were nine kingdoms around the world, all living in perfect harmony. The ice kingdom was located in the north, more closed off from everyone else. It was hard for the other kingdoms to travel into the Northern Kingdom, due to the harsh weather conditions. The temperatures were low, it would freeze outside to death, surely. But the people occupying the kingdom were used to the constant snow. The townspeople all had abilities that varied, everyone that was not a human at least had the power to control snow, or ice. They walked into a room and the air around them chilled drastically. They liked the cold, it was home to them. Now, the king and the queen were both beautiful people. The king had dark, thick ivory locks that hung to his shoulders. He was tall, and thin. His chin was covered in scruff that matched his hair. He radiated power, and was given the title of the kindest king in the nation. His wife was just as lovely as the rumors said. She had white blonde hair that hung all the way to her waist, straight as a pin. She was dainty, and fragile. Her eyes were the bluest color, and her skin was as pale as death. These two beautiful people were immortal. Never aging, but, there was something wrong. The queen had fallen ill. It was unexpected, the king had no idea what was wrong with his lovely wife. It was like the life was being sucked out of her. A very respected, old immortal doctor came to see the woman a few weeks after she came down with her illness. After much examination, the doctor concluded that the queen was approximately four months pregnant. He found it strange that the tiny woman hadn't gained any weight yet, but instead she had been losing weight. The doctor was worried, he knew the reason that the beautiful queen was so sick.
She was pregnant with a demon. A vampire was growing inside of her.
But how? The king wondered. His wife was a loyal woman, she hadn't cheated on him. So how had this happened? It was then that the woman spilled her secrets. At a young age, the queen was bitten by a vampire. This vampire just happened to be her real father. Her mother was killed by the man, and she was sent to lie with her grandparents. For three days the woman's temperature dropped dangerously low. But her grandmother was a powerful witch, who concocted a bitter antidote that fought off the sickness. The queen came out of the experience with heightened senses, and paler skin. But now, she was paying for her mothers mistakes. Her child would be born half vampire.
Three months later, the queen lay in her bed looking like death had a hold of her. Yet she was still undeniably beautiful. Her husband rarely left her side, people from all over visited. The other kings and their queens sent their condolences. In the middle of the night, it was finally time. Her child would come into the world. It was a gruesome sight for the nurses, the doctor, and her husband. The child ripped right through her mothers stomach. The king was appalled, but as soon as he and the queen lay their eyes on the child, they fell in love. As the nurses worked on repairing the queens stomach, she grabbed for her child, holding the little baby close. She was unlike anything she had ever seen. Hair black as night, lips as red as blood, skin as pale as death. When she opened her little eyes to look at her mother for the first time, they were as blue as the ice that surrounded their kingdom. The baby lay her chubby little hand on the mothers cheek, and leaned in close to her neck. She nuzzled close to her mother, and in a flash, sunk her little teeth into the flesh. She was taken away at that point, and scolded by the king. The queen then fell into a deep slumber that would last for days while her body healed.
The queen healed up, but was bedridden for the first seven years of her child's life, whom she called snow white. Her real name was Sophia. The child was kept indoors, hidden from society. The kingdoms knew that they had just had a child, and that she was the most beautiful princess in their nations. She grew at a rapid pace, but once she got to her teenage years, she began to slow down. She also began to rebel. She wanted the world to know who she was, she wanted them to see her. She wanted answers as to why she lived off of the taste of blood, and why the maids feared her. Why she couldn't play with other children. Finally, her mother was fed up with keeping the child locked away, and decided to throw a party for the girls eighteenth birthday. She was so excited she could barely contain herself. A handful of elite members of society, and their children were selected to come to the party. The town buzzed with excitement, their people were finally going to catch a glimpse of the beautiful princess called Snow White. But, something bad loomed over the castle like a dark cloud. The future would not be bright.
During Snow White's party, she was met by a bunch of people. She could barely remember their names though. All she could pay attention to was the sweet scent of their blood, and the pulsing of their frantic heartbeats. At the end of the night she was ravaged with hunger, and could barely contain herself. A boy her age got too close, and she lashed out, biting his pretty little neck. He was stricken with fear and surprise, this beautiful, dainty princess was slowly draining the life out of him. She was pried off of the boy, her fangs out, and blood dripping down her chin. A drunken smile was plastered across her face as she set her sights on a plump man. She dashed toward him and sank her teeth into his neck too. After eight more people were bitten, the princess was finally pinned to the ground and dragged away. The people were afraid, they wanted that monster locked up forever. But the king and queen loved their dear child. They only wanted to see her happy. But they had to take their villagers into consideration. They told their people what they would do, the king called on a witch. The queen cleaned up her beautiful child, and put her in a lovely dress. She did her hair, and wiped away the young girls tears. She didn't mean to hurt those people, or scare them. All she wanted was a friend. The queen laid with her child that night, and sang her to sleep. Once Snow White was asleep, the witch came in. She put a spell on the child, a spell that stopped her heart. The princess was put into a glass coffin, and taken to a high tower that was completely sealed after the princess set securely in her tower. Life went on as if the princess was never even born. Later that week, the witch snuck into the tower and placed a new spell on the child. She knew that the girl meant no harm, and that she only wanted friends and to be happy. She she laid a curse on her. One that said if the princess is kissed by a man, then she will awake. She left a sentence on the ground, to any man that dare wake the princess. White as snow, red as blood.
Thousands of years later, humans rose above the magical beings by the use of hunters, or Slayers. They were made with a drop of magic blood that enhanced them. Many magical beings were killed, and it was finally agreed that humans and these magical beings would live side by side in harmony. The Slayers would act as a police, and regular humans would know nothing about the secret society they lived in. The ice king and queen managed to have another daughter. One that was completely free of any vampirism. She was just a healthy baby girl with blue eyes that resembled Snow's, and pale blonde hair like her mothers.
It's the year 2013. Snow white has been lying still for over two thousand years. She was still as beautiful as ever, her skin was as cold as ice. Her lips were still that same vibrant red color. Her skin was still pale, and her hair was the same raven color it had been. Young men from all over had been searching for the beautiful princess. Many thought that she was a myth, nothing but a story that mothers used to tell their children. But one young man in particular wanted nothing more then to kill Snow White. He wanted her dead. He was a hunter, not just any hunter though. He was special. He had fire powers. His body ran at a naturally higher temperature, he could create and manipulate fire, and he could also read minds. Finally, after years of searching, he stumbled upon the tower in the north. It took him a long time, it was almost as if the tower kept relocating. But he finally cornered it. He broke into the tower, and climbed to the top. Although he was a fire starter, even he was chilled by the low temperatures. At the top of the tower he found exactly what he was looking for. Snow White. But it wasn't what he expected. As soon as his eyes fell upon her motionless form, locked up in that glass box, he was under her spell. She was so beautiful, more so then any girl he had ever seen before. And before he knew what he was doing, he had lifted the lid, and placed a hand on her cheek. She was so cold, so so cold. And all he wanted to do was keep her safe, and warm. He inched closer and closer to her, until his lips brushed lightly against hers, triggering something inside of the dormant body. Her body began to work again, the air around her seemed to freeze even more. The hunter couldn't help but pull Snow White close to him, and cradle her gently. When she awoke, she too seemed to fall under the spell of the boy. It was like love at first sight.
The hunter taught Snow all of the things she needed to know in order to get by in the current world. They resided in a small house in the Northern Villages, where she was most comfortable. But it wasn't a walk in the park with Snow. She was very difficult to handle, her thirst for blood never seemed to be satisfied. She was constantly throwing tantrums, and losing control of herself. But she was still the same, sweet child from before. Life would not be easy with Snow White. But he was willing to take on whatever was thrown at them.

I do remember my mothers fire red hair, and my fathers deep baritone voice. I can remember laying on his chest as a small child, and listening to the rumbles of his laughter. I can remember my mom and I dancing through the house in our pajamas, with the music turned up loud. But I can't remember what their faces look like, everytime I try to remember, it's like I hit a big brick wall. I just want to remember what they look like, I want to feel their warm embraces, and be comforted by their soft words. I just want my parents back, I don't want these fake parents that I get every month. I don't understand how they can believe that I'm their child, when I look nothing like any of them. Can't they see that I'm different?
The day of my thirteenth birthday was the day that everything would change. My mom and dad threw a party for me. No one from school came, none of our extended family came, it was just us. I remember being so happy, because they bought me a horse. My very own horse, she was a beauty. We spent all day with her, brushing her thick golden mane, braiding her long silky tail. I was so happy, yet at the same time I felt this unimaginable grief, deep down inside my chest. I couldn't explain it, but I knew my parents felt it too. I would catch them staring at me sadly, like they knew something that I didn't. The day seemed shorter than any other normal day, I begged my mom if I could sleep in the barn with Sadie, my chestnut colored horse. She and my father agreed, as long as they could sleep out there too. I was reluctant to go to sleep, but finally the sandman dragged me under. The next day I remember wishing I never went to sleep. I woke up in a strange bedroom, with strange parents calling my name. I panicked at first, and hid in the closet. The fake parents brushed it off as a nightmare, and coaxed me out slowly. It was scary, being completely alone. I lost my parents, and I lost Sadie. I only had her for a day, but she became my best friend. And now she was gone.
As months went by, and I shifted from home to home, I lost hope. I knew that I would never return to my parents, I would never see Sadie again. Each night I would pray that I could see my family again. I didn't want to be bounced around anymore. But a spark of hope ignited my world once I received a letter from a stranger named Ko. It said that there were others like me, and that I needed to be patient. But as the years went on, my hope slowly dwindled. I drew further into myself, trying to act like these robots around me. I tried not to feel anything. It didn't work well, my emotions always seemed to shine through, and I ended up speaking my mind more than I should. • • •xxx• • •I grew up in the country, so I was taught a few things from the 'parents' I was put with. I am supposed to have perfect mannerism. Being impolite is not acceptable, but I find it hard to be polite to everyone. I do apologize more than necessary though, even when I've done nothing wrong. I'm quiet, but that's just an act so I don't draw attention to myself. I end up speaking my mind more than I should. I guess that's something that I got from my real parents, because none of these other guardians like it when I do. Usually I can keep calm, and be rational about things. But there are times when I lose my head and get a little crazy. I'm sweet, and kind to all of those who deserve it, but boy, when I get mad I've got a crazy temper. • • •════════════════════════════════════ xxxxxxxxxx•Like ✔ animals ✔ nature ✔ sadie ✔ baking

She would be surrounded by people who knew nothing about her, but pretended to. There would be a fake mother, and a fake father downstairs who would act like they cared. But she could see right through them, it was an illusion. They didn't care, they were just like all the other mindless people that made up her life. So it's understandable that Jess didn't want to open her eyes just yet. She wanted to lie to herself for a little longer, she wanted to pretend that it actually was her parents downstairs, and that she was never taken away. Right now she pretended that her mother was still sleeping, her red hair a wild mess, quiet snores coming from her mouth. She imagined her father cooking breakfast for the two girls in his life, and that he would bring it to each of them in their beds. Jess sighed heavily, and brought a hand up to run through her knotted hair. "Jessie, sweetheart. You know you have to get up and go take care of the horse. Come on now, get your butt up and movin'!" Jess despised that name, she hated it. But no matter what, every month she would be called that by a new set of parents. Then her fake mom's words came back to her, a horse? That's weird. Her october home never had a horse before.
Jess untucked herself from the covers and hurried to get dressed. She had taken a shower last night so that was unnecessary. She ran a brush through her hair, quickly untangling it until it fell in messy waves. Instead of spending hours deciding what to wear, Jess picked the first thing she saw. A pair of dark denim skinny jeans, a long sleeved black shirt, and a plain gray throw over hoodie. She shoved on a pair of socks and ran to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and ran down the stairs, almost tripping at one point. The parents she was with this month were very kind people. Mr and Mrs Colbert. Jessica Colbert. She let the name sink in for a moment before putting on a fake smile. "Morning mom, dad." She greeted cheerfully. They smiled at her. "She's waiting for you in the barn Jessie, better hurry." Mr Colbert winked, before turning back to his newspaper. Jess nodded and ran to the front door. She shoved on her old pair of boots and headed outside.
The barn wasn't too far from the house, maybe a five minute walk. But Jess made it there in two minutes, her heart was practically beating out of her chest. She loved horses, and she couldn't help but hope that it was Sadie in that barn. She stopped by the barn doors for a moment, listening. "Sadie?" She whispered. She heard the horse inside whinnie, and couldn't stand out there any longer. Pushing open the doors, she was met with a pleasant surprise. Sadie stood in her stall, just as beautiful as Jess remembered. Shock coursed through her body as she stared at the chestnut colored horse with the golden mane and tail. 'Well are you just going to stand there, my dearest Jessica?' Jess knew that she was different from everyone else. Because not everyone could hear an animal speak. And boy was it nice to hear Sadie's voice. It was a gentle, soothing voice. One that a mother would use when talking with her child.
Jessica walked forward slowly, extending her hand to Sadie. The tall horse stomped her foot, her eyes lighting up. Jess stroked the side of her beautiful horses face, before leaning closer and hugging her neck. "How is this possible?" Jess whispered, her voice thick with emotion. 'I'm as baffled as you are Jess.' For the next thirty minutes, Jess and Sadie talked. Jess told Sadie about everything that happened in the past few years, while Sadie made her comments. Jess filled up Sadie's food and made sure she had enough water. She changed the hay, and brushed out Sadie's mane and tail. Time flew by, and soon it was time for school. "Promise you'll be here after school?" Jess asked desperately. 'Where else would I go, there is no place I'd rather be Jessica.' Jess smiled and left the barn, walking toward the house. She grabbed her over the shoulder bag from the counter, the keys to the car, and drove toward the school.
She parked away from every one else, and got out. Taking a few deep breaths, she put on her facade and wandered slowly toward the building. She made sure to keep her eyes down, and made sure to stray away from the crowd. Her boots had mud caked to the bottom of them, she smelled slightly like fresh hay, and there were a few pieces stuck in her red hair. Instead of heading inside, she walked away from the other students, keeping her distance. There was a boy who screamed dangerous standing apart from the others too. She stood a few feet away from him, her back slightly turned toward him. While she stood there, waiting for the first bell to ring, her thoughts wandered to Sadie. I've held hope in my two hands That there would be another chance To find the kingdom, I'm believing in my heart Cause underneath the good There's something greater than you know

The clothes she wore hang loosely around her small frame. The past few weeks had been awful, first she was stressing about Michael's eighteenth birthday. She was so worried that she wouldn't be his mate, that they weren't meant to be. The stress of the situation led to Harley hardly eating anything. But then, that night. The night that the love of her life turned eighteen. He found someone else, and she was beautiful. So much prettier than Harley. As soon as she and Michael brushed hands, Harley was forgotten. She remembered fleeing from the small restaurant. She ran deep into the woods, losing herself, not even caring where she was. She remembered collapsing to the ground and finally letting the pain take over.
There was a knock at Harlie's door, which brought her back to the present. She wiped away the silent tears that trailed their way down her pale cheeks. "Come in." She said, knowing who it was by their scent. It was her father. He pushed the door open and stepped inside. "Time to come downstairs Harlie, everyone's starting to show up." She nodded, turning to face her father. He looked at her sympathetically. "Please eat something tonight sweetheart, you've lost so much weight." "Okay dad." She said, not really committing to her word. After a few more moments of silence her father awkwardly walked out, leaving Harley alone once again. She sighed, and crossed the room to her bed. She couldn't bear to look in the mirror any longer, she knew who she was. She knew that the person that she is, is someone that wasn't meant to be with Michael.
'Stop, Harlie. Stop.' Her wolf whimpered, causing her to flinch. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to calm herself down, letting out a whimper of her own. "It's so hard.." She said quietly. 'I know, but we'll get through this. Something good is coming, I know it. Now go downstairs Harlie, and stand proudly behind your father.' With another deep breath Harlie opened her eyes. She slipped her house slippers on and slowly started the walk to the pack room downstairs. The house was huge, there were many rooms for other wolves to reside in. Michael and his mate were currently living in one of the rooms upstairs. Harlie could smell them, their scents were mixed together from all the time they spent with eachother. She pushed away the urge to start crying and walked on, starting the decent down the long staircase. She could hear others conversing, laughing. Taking a few deep breaths, she took the last few steps, trying to hold her head up high.
She could feel everyone's eyes on her as she crossed the room to stand by her family. She took her place next to her three older siblings, Joshua, Leila, and Callie. To the left were all of her younger siblings, Tanya and Eva, the twins. Lucielle was the youngest girl, and Bentley was the baby boy. The only one who wasn't present was Danny, and he was currently lying in the pack hospital. The the right of her father was Alpha Luke and his Beta, Chase. Something inside of her begged her to turn her head, to look past her father at the two strangers. The enemies. For a few minutes she managed to ignore the urge, she surveyed the room. Everyone was chattering anxiously with eachother, stealing glances at the outsiders. Sometimes she'd catch them staring curiously at herself. She could hear them whisper about her, most of the whispers came from the wolves her age. She could feel their eyes on her, there were a particular pair of eyes that she could feel, burning into her skin. She shifted uncomfortably, trying not to look at Michael. She looked anywhere else in the room, she even glanced over at the alpha and beta of the other pack.
Like a magnet, her eyes were attached to the other Alpha. She couldn't look away from him, her heart beat quickened. Her hands clenched into fists, he seemed so familiar. But she had never even seen him before. A hand grabbed hers gently, breaking her out of the spell. She looked over and realized that Callie was trying to soothe her. Harlie unclenched her hands and took a deep breath, sending a small smile to her nineteen year old sister. Wish I may, wish I might, Find my one true love tonight. Do you think that he, Could be you? ★★blubblubblubblubӈαʀʟɪɛ ★ ßʟαĸɛ
