Fenix shrugged, nodding to Jeice.
"Alright, no powers," He said, sliding a foot out in front of his other, turning sideways to face Jeice. He bent his knees a little, bringing his hands up in front of him, clenching them into fists. A smile was on his lips. "No style just yet...I want to test the waters a bit." He said simply. He waited a moment, looking Jeice up and down, picking a spot.
Suddenly, Fenix ducked down and rushed Jeice, swinging a medium sized arch with his fist, aiming for Jeice's side abdominal.

[Jeice saw the attack and gently touched his hand to Fenix's arm, and used his momentum to guide him face first into a tree

Fenix felt himself get thrown off balance, and saw the trunk and rough bark of a tree coming straight for his face. Sticking a hand out, Fenix caught himself onto the tree and spun around, striking at Jeice's middle back with his leg.

Jeice caught Fenix's leg and held him there"You should know better then to use such direct attacks my friend" he pushed him away and stretched a little

Fenix pulled his leg away from Jeice, cross. He figured a different tactic would have to be involved. Drawing his hands in a smooth arc from above him to in front of him, Fenix pushed the together, almost looking like he was meditating. He closed his eyes, breathing out. As he finished exhaling, Fenix stayed still. He didn't move, didn't open his eyes, nor breathed.
He was listening to his surroundings, feeling the vibrations in the ground. He could hear the shadows whispering in his ears, telling him to wait.

Jeice crouched on all fours and closed his eyes.A fluffy black tail and a pair of black dog ears emerged from his body

Fenix stood in silence, still as a statue. When Jeice crouched, Fenix spoke just as his ears and tail popped out.
"I thought no powers?" He asked suddenly, his eyes still closed. He said nothing more afterward, still waiting.

Jeice said nothing.His tail swished back and forth and his ears turned and twitched like a cat's,as if listening for the slightest movement from Fenix

Fenix waited, but nothing happened. He could hear Jeice's tail sweeping back and forth, but that was it; Save for the wind in the trees. Opening his eyes, Fenix looked at Jeice on the ground with a smirk.
"Never one to make the first strike, eh?" He asked. He still waited, but wondered why Jeice had chosen to allow his ears and tail to come forward. Just in case, Fenix eyed a couple shadows he could fit into if he had to suddenly disappear.

Jeice crouched low,his body almost touching the ground, and launched himself far into the air.A second later he was little more than a speck against a cloud

As Jeice jumped into the air, Fenix brought his stance up defensively. As he realized Jeice was busy going as high as he could into the air, Fenix stepped back so he was under the tree; Sheltering him from Jeice's sight.

Jeice fell back to the earth at such a speed his clothes began to burn.
When he landed he brought his leg down in a vicious axe kick that created a deep crater more than thirty feet across

Fenix watched Jeice's display of power, retreating from his tree as it fell over, roots getting ripped out of the ground as the crater erupted beneath it.
Fenix looked at the devastation, his brows raised some. He whistled, then peered at Jeice whose clothes were singed and burnt away in areas. Shaking his head, Fenix smirked. I wonder if this means the gloves are coming off.. He thought to himself.

Fenix looked at Jeice, waving dust out of his face.
"I thought this was sparring," He said, standing at the edge of the crater. "Not 'Test Your Might'."
