[LIBRARY] Disaster in the Library [ Finished! pg.5! ]

Well, chaos had began, and everyone was doing their best to squish the litter bugs that had suddenly popped up and were causing all the mayhem. And a lot of people didn't seemed to like the littler bugs

Not Astra though

"Awww!" She said, sitting down to look at one as it scampered by. "You look so cute!" And they did, with their feathered antenna and big black eyes. She wasn't sure if she could bring herself to actually squish them, but it appeared she didn't have a choice.

But before she could find herself something to smush the bugs with, a magazine flew into her face. She pulled it off, blinking as she stared at the cover. "Big, bust werewolves?" She readthe cover in confusion, opened it up and

.....

She threw the book away after that

Still reeling (and a little red)) after looking at the magazine, Astra quickly looked about found the bug she had seen before scurrying away. She picked up a big and flew after it, but her efforts were hampered as one of the book bats had flown down, and was doing it's best to attack her.

"Ahh! buzz off!" she quickly flew away from it, whom began to follow her for about 5 minutes, but eventually it gave up and flew off.

Now She had to go find the bug again.

A quick search, and Astra was able to find it again, but the bug was close to escaping her now as it skittered away. Picking up one of the many books lying around she threw it with all her might, and was satisfied to see it land right on top of the bug. Well she was, until she realized that she didn't want to hurt them, and then almost panicked

"Oh no! I hope I didn't kill it..." She went over to check to see if she had, and was relived to see that the book had only knocked it out. Thank jack! She had been squished before, so she knew how bad it felt when it happened to a bug.

Now that she had one bug, she now needed to smush another bug before she was done...Well, only knock it out. Not smush. Smushing was bad

But as she had found one hiding underneath a flipped over book, she was smacked from behind by the same book bat from before. With a quick check to see if her wings had been damage, she then went to shoo it away but instead had to fly away as the book bat was intent on trying to bite her.

"Ahh! go away you stupid books!" Astra whined, trying in vain to swat them away but was unable to, and for once in her life, wished that she had something she could use to burn the stupid objects.

As she weaved and dodges, she spied the bug crawling around on the floor, but was unable to catch it as yet another book bat had joined it's companion and were now both trying to bite her.

Yes, she needed some fire.

After a few aerial maneuvers, Astra found a way to dodge the incoming attacks. She hid under a few not flying books, and stayed there until the book bats had flown away.

Crawling out of her mini sanctuary, she spied the bug she saw before crawling past, so she picked up a book and gave it a light 'bonk' on the head.

Success! She had her two bugs now

Jove's grumpiness increased threefold as he had his hair ruffled twice, his cheek kissed once, and then he got passed over for the bookcase moving team. He was strong enough, it wasn't like he was a little kid or anything! He scowled, wiped his cheek thoroughly with one long sleeve, and started to pick up a book.

And tried to ignore the fact he was on the ghouls team.

His sulking was interrupted by Avery's exclamations of dismay, and he threw his book at the first one he found. Success!

His good spirits restored in spite of being on the ghouls team, Jove puffed up proudly at his spectacular aim. See, he was too strong enough to work with Israfel and Sparrow, he knocked that bug right out there! He glanced around to see if anyone had noticed, but most students were too busy fighting their own bugs.

He supposed he should get back to work too...

He picked up a second book, a nice hefty one, and gave it a good tossing! See, he was totally nailing those bugs! Now thoroughly puffed up with pride, the pup continued to grab books and haphazardly toss them at litter bugs. He was going to show this ghoul's team how to do it!

Amphi smiled as she came back to the group, bugs in tow and smiled at the 2nd year Siren. "Bad side?" She kept the smile up before looking at the bugs again and a small twitch worked her way in the same smile.

"Don't worry about it." She turned her head back to him before blushing, ah crap she had just talked to the other student without even blushing for a second, did this mean she was making progress?

"Hopefully the rest of the team..." Amphi watched in amazement when the Foxfire boy decimated his two bugs and clapped her hands at him. "You were fantastically strong!" She was in serious awe of the boy's strength!

As if his own ego-preening hadn't been enough! The pup's ears swivelled around to listen to the mermaid on his team speak, and looked over to notice she was staring straight at him. She... thought he was fantastically strong? Really?

He had gotten in the habit of searching for any trace of sarcasm in compliments directed his way, but she seemed pretty sincere about it. There were no signs of deception at all.

His tail wagged, and he puffed up his little chest proudly. Maybe the other students were finally starting to see him as an adult, like them, and not just a runty little kid! Jove turned to throw another couple books at litter bugs nearby, but he kept one ear swivelled back. Just in case the ghoul said anything else about him.

Amphi smiled at the Foxfire boy before nodding her head. Did he puff his chest out? Aw he was so cute! She clapped her hands again in excitement as he continued to throw books at the Litter bugs and Amphi could only watch in delight, he was really proving himself to be the strongest member of their team so far!

"How do you do that so well Landwalker?" She came to stand by him and kept her hands tucked behind her. "Is it okay if I stay right here with you? Your doing such a good job at keeping them away and well, the two I got kinda of scarred me." She smiled down softly at the boy, "Plus your much stronger then I am." She looked as another bug came towards them and picked up a book to throw it at them, without her in her rage mode though, It had no effect and just dropped off to the side.

LW managed to not give Avery a glare when he asked if she could manage this 'barricade'. "Yes. I think I got it." After all the jackdamned trouble it had given her, she was positive she had this! "No I know I got this." LW muttered and leaned against the bookcase to keep it in place while watching the mini terrors on the ground the others were throwing books at.

Glancing over her shoulder again, LW gave Israfel a much more pleasant smile. "See? I got this! Nice job yourself!" She gestured towards the bookcases the siren had gotten up as barricades as well. Giving him a thumbs up, she glanced at the others around them. Seemed their book throwing was going pretty well. Even Jove had gotten a couple good throws in there! LW flashed the pup a grin.

The she-wolf rubbed at her foot while she leaned against the make-shift barricade she was, more or less, in charge of just like Israfel had one to watch. The fairy ghoul, Astra, drew her attention and LW blinked. What...why was she freaking out over an innocent magazine (or what appeared to be one) getting flung up at her? Hadn't she heard that other ghoul that she'd met at Florestival...Amphi?...freaked out over several magazines as well? Geez. They were just magazines! Maybe they would have preferred having their feet smashed?

Oh hey, what was this? Jove had a ghoul standing next to him? And she knew that look. It was one of those, "Dawwww lookit the cute and handsome boil pup!"...or something like that. Which curled her lips back in a sly smile. Was the pup showing off for the ghouls?
