Calisto was impressed that he blocked a couple of her punches and even one of her kicks but the axe kicked had managed to get him down. She sighed as she looked at him with piercing eyes. "You know people often say when people get desperate...they strike at something they know they can't take down...now...I'll give you this moment to apologize...or I can entertain your foolishness and let you try and hit me with whatever is up your sleeves" she told him. "But considering I can turn my body into pure gas..." she said trailing off. She wouldn't have to explain the rest to Ivan...but if he still wanted to fight her...so be it.
Jade listened to Cap. He did have a point. Home was where the heart was. When he mentioned her job she slapped her head. "I never thought of that...but...I still have to work" she told him. "How else will I support myself?" she asked outloud but more to herself. "It's just something I'll have to risk" she told him. When he proposed to be her bodyguard she smirked a little. "You really are going to a full extent to get into my pants Cap" she told him with a joking smirk. "Well I can pay you up to 200 Que per day if you want...sorry it's not much but my cost of living is out the roof" she told him as she gathered her things and placed them by the door, returning to the kitchen to wash dishes.

Cap listened to her think out loud to herself, but didn't say anything until she joked about getting into her pants, "No, not really, just being a nice guy and besides, being a bodyguard is my job after all." He smiled as she offered to pay him 200 Que for his services. It definitely wasn't as much as he was used to, he normally went for around 1750-2000 a day, but it wasn't as though he needed the money, his apartment was completely paid for through the next year, and since it was just him, he didn't need to buy a whole lot of food. He continued smiling and said, "Make it one hundred and you've got yourself a deal. It would practically be extortion to ask for more than that from you." He chuckled and headed towards his room, going to get his gear. He decided he wouldn't need much more than just his pistol and his blade, but if things turned out differently, he could always come back and grab whatever he needed. Coming back out into the living room, he put his pistol in its holster and his blade in its sheath, grabbing his jacket and asking, "Shall we go then?"

Jade listened to him as she smiled a little. "Well you have yourself a deal Cap" she said to him. "Yes we shall" she said to him as she walked out of the door. As they left the building of the apartment, Jade took a glance at the streets. Everything was beautiful here. She looked at Cap and back at the scenery as they walked towards the rail system. Hmm maybe running into Cap was a good thing, she'd actually have a reason to try and visit.

Ivan had his hand wrapped around the gun's hilt, ready to pull and fire at the right moment when her words sank in, he hesitated taking action and thought about it for a moment, he needed to remain alive to find and help his sister, if he tried to flee or fight this woman it was very apparent he would die, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to trust her, "I wont apoligize" he said glaring up at her as he breathed hard and felt his head ring from her last kick

Calisto looked at Ivan with a sickened look on her face. He was weak. She approached him. "So now you want to be strong willed?" she asked him. She then picked him up as she looked into his eyes. "Well you work for me and you'll do everything I say" she told him. "Tell me fox hume....how well do you work with your abilities...and can you adapt to any kind of environment?" she questioned him. Running her fingers through her hair a air craft circled near them and stopped. "I promise you, if you mess up any assignment I give you....you will suffer in more ways that one" she told him. "Get in...we're going to the heart of the city" she told him.

Cap slipped his jacket on as he followed Jade out his front door. He walked next to Jade as the pair headed for the rail line platform, noticing how Jade was looking around at the scenery that he had seen a million times before. He smiled and said, half to Jade and half to himself, "I guess if you see it enough times, even the most breathtaking sight seems bland and uninteresting." He was referring to the fact that he took the sight of his neighborhood and the area surrounding him in stride, like it was normal, while Jade was looking around at everything. He chuckled lightly and stepped up the stairs to the rail line platform, checking the board to see if the trains were on schedule as he did. When he reached the platform, he tapped Jade on the shoulder and said, "Here's something you might have missed last night." He pointed towards the tower that was in the center of New Haven, the center of the government for Empire City. The tower's sleek design and white metallic sheen made it difficult to look at when the sun was shining on it, but it was a very beautiful sight. Off in the distance however, Cap noticed something that looked like it was flying at the tower, and it looked like... "What the... hell? Is that a... missile?" Cap reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pair of binoculars, focusing in on the object, Cap saw that it was indeed a missile, but the buildings nearby were obscuring his view of what fired it. "Oh s**t..." was all he could manage to say as he followed the missile with his binoculars.

Jade listened to Cap, how could he say something like that? But she figured he was used to it so it got kind of all and routine. When they reached the platform she looked at what Cap had pointed out. When he asked was that a missle? She looked into the distance as multiple missles and bullets rained down on Empire City. The explosions were loud and visible. Soon sirens everywhere sounded as the people of the city began to scramble, though there were so many people in the City-State, escape was futile. Jade looked in horror, she had never seen things like this...well on the surface, in Underworld destruction was as common as drinking water.
Soldiers began to deploy with their specialized weapons. Who would have done this? "What should we do Cap?!?!?" she asked. There were things at her home that she needed to get. Soldiers were out and purging began. This was the perfect time to push for the purge as purge officers were seen everywhere now.

Cap blinked for a few moments as the chaos ensued, and when Jade asked him what they should do, Cap grabbed her by the hand and led her back towards his apartment. He quickly flung open his door and ran to his bedroom, unlocking his weapons closet and grabbing a briefcase, putting a few different guns and a lot of ammo in the rather large briefcase, he headed back out into the living room and said, "We need to get out of New Haven." He then led her out of the apartment and back out onto the streets; by this point the trains were shut down and the roads were packed with cars. Cap stood for a moment and thought, before saying, "You're not going to like this, but there's only one way we can get out of here really quickly... The sewers. They lead right through downtown and head towards The Post." Cap thought for another moment when the large electronic televisions that broadcasted the news to the residents suddenly switched on and a green haired man appeared onscreen. Cap looked at the TV, wondering who the man was and how he got on the government's broadcasting system. The man looked directly at the camera for a few moments, then cleared his throat before speaking, "Citizens of Empire City! Take heed to this message! We, the members of the AECC, have struck a deadly blow to your corrupt government. Cutting he head off the snake as it were. We urge you to rise up and fight the injustices of the corrupt government that segregates you and keeps you weak and under their thumb. Those of you who the government deems unworthy are to be purged and sent down to the underworld, or killed on sight! Fight these injustices and strike a blow against the tyranny of the empire from within!" The green haired man's speech continued and eventually looped itself, broadcasting the AECC's anti empire message across the entire city.

The world swam as the red dark haired hunter picked him up from the ground and he looked at her with a slightly pained expression as his hands went to her wrist for support, relived she did not choke him, he was however ashamed that she would call him week so he simply glared back at her as best he could trying to show her he could survive. her next sentence however came as quite a shock, D- did she just claim me as her slave!? he turned red in anger, but she didn't seem to care, "make me! he hissed thinking of his sister as he wished to have her ears to express his irritation better, "why should i tell you anything"

Everything seemed like a blur and soon they were near the sewage system. She looked at him with a stale expression but shrugged. She had been in worse conditions. Before she could speak however her attention was grabbed by a man speaking on the screens. Who was this man? And where did he live if he wasn't a resident of Empire City? "Um...let's go, there are some things I need to go get from home anyways....then we can lay low at a friend's house of mine until this dies down" she told him as she began to run into the sewers , running along the concrete and not through the water itself.
Calisto rolled her eyes. "Listen I'm going to make you or I will have your sister killed and you'll never be able to rescue her...I mean you could...but what good is a corpse to you?" she asked him. She then saw an explosion in the distance as her bracelet began to go off. Code 5 it screamed. She shook her head, a code 5? What the hell was going on today? "We don't have any time...we need to make our way to The Post" she told Ivan as she grabbed him and placed him in the hovercraft. As it took off towards The Post, Calisto looked at the city....they were under attack...and this was the perfect time to not only purge...but to put phase two into action very soon.

Ivan had no choice now as he was tossed onto the hover craft, however he merely sat where he had been tossed out of the woman's way as he once again thought through his choices, she had threatened his sister, that damn necklace had given away is only real weakness. "how long" he said before clearing his throat and speaking louder, "how long do i have to work for you till i can get my sister back...

Isa was out shopping with her master when she the green haired man showed up on the screen. the voice had sounded familiar, but seeing a recent friend's face like this on the tv was rather shocking. in her surprise she managed to drop the groceries she had been carrying for the mistress and got yelled at, the next thing she knew her elder mistress was hitting her on the back with a cane and yelling at her to pick up their food. Obediently she did as she was told, and hurried to collect the items so she wouldn't be hurt more than necessary, oh i hope this doesn't mean i get locked in the lower room again... she thought the image forgotten as she tried her best to make up for her actions to avoid getting "that treatment tonight...

Cap looked over at Jade as she spoke, snapping out of his trance watching the broadcast. "Sounds like a good idea." He then followed Jade down the sewers, glancing behind himself every so often to make sure no one was following them. His boots made a flat thunking noise of rubber on concrete, while Jade's shoes tapped along the walkway. Eventually they reached a large multi-tunnel intersection. Cap pointed to the tunnel next to the one directly opposite them and said, "That's the one that will get us to The Post. The one next to it will take us to the Old City. And if we ever feel the demented need to go to Underworld, that's the tunnel right there." Cap pointed to a tunnel that sloped downward, pouring the excess sewage down towards Underworld. Cap knew the sewers well, as he had used them in his various bodyguard jobs. If things got too hot on the surface, it was a safe bet the sewer would lose their pursuers in the tunnels unless they knew it as well as he did. They took the route towards The Post, and soon enough they made it to an old access hatch, that led up into a back alley near the center of the district. Sighing, Cap looked around to check where they were and whether anyone was around. Seeing no one, he relaxed a bit and said, "Well, lead the way, it's your apartment we're going to this time." ====== Zephyr smiled as the broadcast continued, watching it from the captain's chair of a large airship they managed to "acquire" from the military after they knocked out their air defenses. It was a relatively simple matter; they had infiltrated the military base during the night and knocked out the communications array temporarily. The group then occupied the base, posing as the soldiers they had thrown in the cells. when everything was ready, they made sure the cells were locked, and the base's automated defense systems were set to on and then left almost as quietly as they came, stealing most of the aircraft and supplies the base had, as well as resetting ALL the access codes so the base was essentially locked down until someone either managed to get past their state of the art defenses, or someone got out of the cells, neither of which was likely.
He swiveled in his chair and continued smiling, looking a the 3-D tactical map of their battlefield. "Colonel, what's our status?" Zephyr asked his second in command, who saluted and replied quickly, "Sir, our initial barrage appears to have caught the city by surprise. From what we can tell, there's chaos in the streets." For a moment, Zephyrs eyes flashed gold, but quickly returned to emerald green when he spoke, "Let's cause some more chaos shall we? Target the base of the government's Tower. Bring the whole blasted thing down. We don't need that eyesore of a monument anymore. If we're lucky we'll take out the key leaders too." Zephyr gave a small salute to the colonel who saluted back and barked orders at the men on the controls of the airship, "All airborne units! Enter into formation alpha and target the base of the Tower! We're going to bring it down gentlemen." There was cheering from the crew and pilots, and all twenty of the fighter jets took position in a large V formation, with the airship just behind them. All 20 of the aircraft armed their heaviest missiles, with the airship readying the missiles that would cause the fewest casualties. Zephyr looked out the large view port in front of him, their newly acquired air force bearing down on the monument to the Empire's corruption and he smiled before giving the command, "All units. Fire." As all 21 of the aircraft fired their missiles, Zephyr's smile grew into a grin as he watched the explosive projectiles speed towards their target. The anticipation was killing him.

Calisto looked over to Ivan and smirked. "Oh it won't be long...worry about your work and your sister will be taken care of" she told him as the hover craft took off to the direction of the Old City. Calisto looked out the window as she saw the over crowded city state in turmoil. Squinting her eyes she looked back forward. "So what are you abilities again and how good are you with them?" she asked him.
Jade looked at Cap as they made their way through the sewers. She could hear the crying and yelling above them and the sounds of explosions happening above them. When they got to the access hatch she looked upwards as she leapt up and crawled out as she was now in the streets of The Post. Giving Cap a hand she pulled him upwards and fell backwards. Her apartment was 3 flights up and they would have to walk up stairs instead of using elevators. There was some chaos but there were still kids on the rooftops blowing bubbles as if nothing was wrong. As Jade scaled the stairs they finally came to her apartment as she opened her front door with sphere object. Walking in she invited Cap in as she began to gather a few things.
In the medical area of Empire City, chaos was everywhere hospitals were bombed and labs were destroyed. One in particular was housing a subject that was still in tact. Everyone in the building died except for the experiment. The incubation tube it was in was now damaged. A teal haired young man could be seen in it as his eyes opened revealing a teal and a red eye. His "name" was Zero. He climbed out of the broken incubator as he walked around naked. Looking around he saw so much destruction and dead bodies all around him. Curiously he examined that they wore clothes and looked at himself. Instinctively shadows wrapped around him forming clothing as he walked out of the building and onto the streets of the medical district.
Ambrosia had been on the airship as she sighed looking down at the pathetic city state of Empire City. Walking towards Zephyr she looked at him and out of the airship once again. "Well this has been worth the wait" she told him with a smirk. "I feel that I should use a summon to attack each area of Empire...what do you think Zephyr?" she asked him.

Cap stepped into Jade's home once she invited him in. He looked around at the apartment, it wasn't anywhere near as nice as his, but he could tell that she treated it like her home, which meant it was good enough. Cap looked out the window and saw that even The Post was in panic. They were a ways away from New Haven, but Cap could tell things were still in an uproar. Cap glanced around and said, "We should probably get out of here quickly, I'm betting the purge will be accelerated, they may start kicking in people's doors at this rate." Cap was indeed worried. If the purge agents knew where Jade worked, why wouldn't they know where she lived? He wanted to get out of her apartment as quickly as possible.
======
Zephyr smiled when Ambrosia spoke. He thought for a moment and replied, "Worth the wait indeed. I would prefer it if you didn't kill civilians. They are, after all the people we're trying to free. If you can ensure that no harm will come to them then feel free to do so Ambrosia." Zephyr watched as the missiles impacted with the base of the Tower, and the entire building shuddered for a moment before the building started to come down. The monument of corruption toppled over, sending a gigantic cloud of dust and debris into the air. Luckily the tower had a large amount of open space around it so no innocents would be hurt by the falling tower.

Ivan looked out over the side of the hover craft to see the city in the process of being blown up Good ridance he huffed before answering her question, "it is ice, i work with ice, give me something to freeze and i can do it no questions asked," he said accepting the situation he was in for now, "i could freeze the hover craft if i wanted to, but that would just defeat the purpose, but i can create a snow storm too if i wanted to."

Isa was still being hit with the cane when the rockets were dropped, facilities all about them were about to be destroyed and Isa tried her best to warn her master, with the buildings falling, but the woman seemed to absorbed in her items to pay much attention to anything other than beating her new slave that she never saw the wall that collapsed on her. Isa scrambled back as she was set free and thought about nothing but getting away safe, running through crowds of people till she managed to find an area that was relatively untouched.
