[Class] Acting 101 (Class A) (Homework)

Xiu had hit the gryphons name on the nose perfectly. Her face lit up just like Xius.

"Oh.. I've been fine." Her words her hesitant but her tone was quite peppy, for Tahki at least. Xius optimism was quite refreshing about the class. It made Tahki feel at ease for signing up. No regrets! Her tail still twitched slightly to the side a bit nervous.

"Exciting is a good way to put it." Tahki gave the Baku a determined and approving nod. "L-lets fight to be good at theater. Yes?" Her head tilted to the side and she beamed at the Baku. Her nerves were still fluttering about her but she was feeling slightly more confident now. Slightly. Her heart was still beating five times its normal speed. All this from talking. Anxiety had a funny way of creeping up.

In the corner of her eye she noticed a zombie boil finger waving at her. The gryphon paused for a moment before shyly returning his wave with a small but friendly smile.

Edel had just dropped off the letter at the office and was just about to head back to her dorm to do the packing up. For some reason though, the ghoul found herself strolling into the auditorium, for an acting class no less. She had no idea why she was about to commit herself to a class before she left but it wasn't like there would be any harm done. Edel thoughtfully signed her name on the list before taking a look around. There weren't many she could recognise, with the exception of Mort.

And Natalia.

And Muka.

And Muka.

When did he get enrolled?!? Never mind that, she was ecstatic. “Muka! Natalia!” cried the frost demon as she hurried towards them.

"I do too," Xiu admitted in response to Mort's answer, sweeping her arms out and gesturing to herself sheepishly, "I'm...well, I-I..." She wasn't very scary yet, and even her natural form lacked the eerie and dark factor that was so highly praised and sought after in Halloween.

...Or well, it did. She had noticed that her natural form was darkening lately, and becoming a little...wispier...

Smiling at Tahki, she nodded her head enthusiastically at the shy ghoul's words. "Yes, let's work hard! T-though, I, ah...I'm not very good at acting, so I apologize beforehand." She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. Honestly? She was both excited and nervous to see what kinds of things they would be doing in this class. If they had to act in front of the class...

The baku looked slightly alarmed at the thought.

A class was a class, right? Social situations were always good, too. Taryn arrived in the theater with a notebook clutched to her chest. The poor ghoul had no idea what to expect from an acting class, and there didn't seem to be anybody she truly knew there already... what to do? Xiu was Roch's friend, not hers, and the only other person she recognized was the boil with red hair who had been in the green tent with her.

She took to the aisles then, wandering up and down between the seats and admiring the architecture. She'd always loved theaters, so open and warm... that stage, though. That looked scary. Why were all the chairs facing each other...? Already she was breathing unevenly and holding her notebook too tight.

Calder clapped his hands, releasing his hold on the demon and smiled. "Oy, yes. I wouldn't want to upset him, though he's just more bothered by it. I guess it's a demon thing. I think it's awfully sweet." he said, smiling as he thought about Barth being protective and possessive of little ol' him.

He returned to looking about, waving to the few faces he knew, and then back to West. "Why are you taking acting? Do you wanna be one of those people on the TV?"

Fight to be good at theater? That was an interesting way to put it, Mort thought. o3o "Not good acting either," he added after Tahki's comment, still wiggling his fingers in greeting like he had forgotten they were in motion at all.

There was a red-skinned ghoul wandering the aisles as they talked, clutching a notebook as she seemed to look at everything but the students. Did she need a seat. He attempted a gesture, pointing out a couple of empty ones by him and Chuppi.

Still mostly clammed up? Yeah. But it didn't mean he couldn't try being polite.

Willow chuckled, "That's good to know." She paused watching Bul's expression change as he went to answer that question. She grinned with a shake of her head, "Maybe they need to see for themselves the problem..."

She nodded at the offer, "Mm Eris offered as well, we'll see if I can't shake this stuff before someone labels me crazy." The tigress nodded softly before letting her ice eyes move back to Muka to make sure she wasn't about to be hugged again without warning. She leaned a little on the desk that Bul was sitting at, "He enjoys to give hugs without warning."

She added, honestly she didn't know Muka knew so many faces either. "How long have you been enrolled Muka?" She asked looking curiously at the boil.

Holly rose a brow and watched West for a moment. It was strange seeing the boil actually talking with other students. She nodded to Levi. "Yep, doing much better than after that last trip. Barely a scratch on me. Which is pretty darn lucky." Mostly since half the student body seemed to have died and the other half was badly injured. "What about you. How've ya been?" After all the other ghoul had just disappeared in front of her the last time she'd really seen her. Nat had just entered the room and Holly waved at the other ghoul. Good, more friendly faces.

Taryn only barely noticed movement out of the corner of her eye. She thought initially that class must be starting, but no, it was just a bluish boil trying to get someone's attention. She peered around her and found... nobody else?

...huh.

The ghoul pointed to herself and tilted her head, and then carefully began picking her way back down the aisle. If it wasn't her he was addressing, she was going to feel like a fool. In fact, they would all probably laugh at her. With destructive thoughts swirling, Taryn pushed her hair behind her ear before clutching her notebook hard again. She got up on the stage, giving Xiu a little smile and a wave before turning to the boil that had called her over.

"Is this seat taken?" What a stupid question! the chimera ghoul made a bit of a face and swallowed hard. She wasn't very good at this...

Mortimer shook his head in response, pushing his glasses up with a finger. It looked as if between the other ghoul's evident nervousness, Tahki's shy stutters, and his own rather cave-trollish mutterings, the room would be filled with enough anxiety to cut a knife with. Mort honestly wished he could be as articulate verbally as he could be online, so that he would be more able to help ease some of the tension with something more than fumbling words.

Well, he could start off easy at least: a little smile the new ghoul's way couldn't hurt. Who knew, the book and the glasses made him think she was possibly a nerd like he was, as stereotypical as that sounded. "Watcha readin'?

Taryn looked down at the pad clutched in her arms and slowly let it unfurl. It had left little ribbed lines in her hands and forearms and peeled out like some kind of parasite. Very attractive.

"It's just... just notes..." she said, opening the notebook as if to check for herself. There wasn't much in it now, but she'd imagined there would be some note-taking during class, right? The ghoul pushed a bit of hair that didn't exist behind her ear and gently sat down beside the kind boil, feeling as if they were impeding each other's personal bubbles. After a moment of shifting she offered him a smile. At least she wasn't the only unsure student here. "Have you... taken this class before?"

Acting class. Her parents probably hadn't thought that of all the classes that Lark could have enrolled in, she was taking an acting class. Spiting her parents? Probably. Enjoying this a little too much? Assuredly.

Clomping through the classroom, Lark idled around the stage. The reaper wanted to scope the room before she approached anyone in a half-assed attempt to make friends. Having been at the academy such a short time, Lark had only met but one other student. Savior was ... special, to say the least, and despite the fact that Ben and Savior didn't get along, Lark had enjoyed the marrowstripe's company.

The tikbalang did not bother peering into classrooms to see if he knew anyone present. He made a beeline for one of the empty seats, near the door and wordlessly sat down. Brown eyes made a quick sweep of those so far present. A good mix of new and old faces, he noted.

Acting class! Acting class! Acting class!

the idea of evening having such a class made Bea shine with excitement. Her eyes glittered with joy when she heard about it. Though she didn't know what she was getting herself into, Bea's assumption of the class was absolutely optimistic.

As soon as she spotted the roster from across the room, she turned back to Raziel who was more than hesitant to walk in. "Oh, come oooooon!" she whined, "I'm sure it'll be fun!"

Bea quickly snapped her head back at the roster again. She took deep breaths to keep herself from hyperventilating and she dragged Raziel into the room to sign in.
