 Shayla Fagan "I think with the money in your pocket you would be driving or rather being driven in a Packard. Smoking cigars and going to the swankiest of clubs with the most beautiful of the call girls on your arms. You only live one why complicate it with domestic hassle." Shay was not a woman of the time, to her being a wife meant being a slave to someone else's will, someone who demanded fidelity but would never give it in return.

Brian O'Callighan Brian smiled. He couldn't see himself at clubs with any call girls. "I don't think the clubs are my thing. Along with the call girls." He chuckled. He was know as a bit of a flirt but couldn't get a date if his life depended on it. "Plus that's all those girls care for is money. I want something more."

Shayla Fagan "If that's what you desire go to the local catholic girl school on Federal, they have poise, and want nothing more than to raise a mess of little ones and mind house." She said with a wicked grin. She also knew many of those good little girls were already working in some burlesque halls under assumed names. "I guess you just need to make more contacts, to rise in the ranks or just hope a few higher ups meet with accidents, then so you will be able to get a wife and little ones."

Gerulf huh? Leaned back in the driver's seat he looked back at him, keen eyes taking in the other slowly. Internally he was weighing what he was doing. It wasn't right, obviously, but he was tired of following the letter of the law. Tired of being shackled to society's demands. This was his rebellion against standards. A slow grin spread his face. The gun and the money sealed the deal. "Well, mister Schreck, looks as if we have a deal." Turning the car on he pulled out from the side of the road and headed toward the docks.

Brian O'Callighan"Tried that slice of pie once." Brian said with a chuckle. "They don't approve of my skills." He wasn't sure what he even wanted for a wife. He drank some more tea and ate some more. "I guess I want someone who is independent if something happens to me. Someone who is sharp as a tack and isn't afraid to say what the mean." He drank more of the tea. "But enough about me and my labyrinth. What about you?" He asked looking at her. "Any future plans?"

Shayla Fagan "Tonight concludes my plan, my revenge is satisfied. So I suppose the plan is keep alive by making dresses and suits for others and then die alone an old maid in this place." She said with a laugh as she poured more tea. Since the death of her father and brothers all she had lived for was revenge and now it was all over.....what would she do?

Brian O'CallighanBrian shook his head. "I don't know." He thought a bit. "You could try to get out of my labyrinth." He said joking around. "You could try opening a business with your skills. I mean like a permanet store or something. No going to clubs and houses. They go to you." Guns he knew. Business not so much. But when he had ideas he shared them.

Shayla Fagan "As I said, I had a shop once. nothing special but it was my own. Till some hood like you firebombed it to burn out some competitors in the adjacent buildings. I lost nearly everything and haven't the money to restart. So going from house to house is all I have." She said as she bit her lip. Going into the houses of the mafia did make her nervous she always felt she may end up seeing or hearing something she shouldn't and it would lead to her getting a new pair of shoes, and not the nice kind.

Brian O'CallighanBrian thought a bit and tool a sip of the tea. "What if we set up a business and had it under Irish protection?" He put the cup down. "Since I am always stuck at the club I could watch it. And with how much the boss needs those costumes for the girl he might go along with it." he scratched his chin. "And the boss knows I need more room to upgrade the guns with latest shipment sizes." He looked at her. "What do you think?"

Shayla Fagan "It would work for me, perhaps then I could make end meet easier." She said as she extended her hand. "but what would you be expecting out of this beyond my shop being a front for your gun running?" Shay didn't think he was the type to take advantage but life so far had told her you could never be too careful and nothing was ever as it seemed. Things that seemed safe were often the most dangerous.

Which we might compensate for the storage." That's all they needed was a place to hold them. "It's a win, win in my book."

SIC VIS PACEM PARA BELLVM Gerulf walked up to the counter. "I vould like to pay for ze door unt lock I... eh, beschossen earlier. Hehehe..." He gave the man fifteen dollars and walked back up to his room. Now that his head had cleared he thought about what he thinks he did. He puts his Mauser in his end table (he always keeps his knife) and he steps outside. He looks across the hall and sure enough there is room eight. He pauses a moment, thinks better of it, and goes back in his own room to sleep and try not to think about the day without the aid of bourbon.

Shayla Fagan "Very well, perhaps the boss will even look better on you for taking intiative or some such. anyway it is late an dI need to turn in for the night. My home is now your help yourself to anything you like. But, if you use the last of something write it down on the pad of paper over there on the cupboard. I am sorry I only have a couch or da's old army cot for you to sleep on." Shay said as she began to clear away her dishes and the left over food.

Brian O'CallighanBrian got up and started to help with the dishes. "I'll take the coach." He said. He smiled. "I'll try not to use the last of anything." He was happy to have a night away from his dwelling in the basement of the club. "I might leave early to my labyrinth to see if the dumped stuff on me while I was away." He looked at her. "Thank you for dinner." He said. It was one thing he was taught show thanks and help out.

Shayla Fagan "I will have a key made for you and drop it off at thee club. Other wise you won't be bale to get in I always keep all my doors and windows locked. You can't trust anyone in this town. If anyone asks you are my cousin and I am helping you get on your feet." She said with a rare genuine smile. His mother must have taught him well since he helped clean without being asked. IT was a rare thing these days, help normally came with a price. when the dishes were done and put away. Shay led him to a narrow closet in the hallway between the bathroom and her bedroom. "Take whatever linens you need. There are towels, sheets, and a few quilts. I made most of them so forgive the odd colors it is how I make use of the scraps left over from those garish club costumes. they really are not fit for anythign else." She said shaking her head. Things would need to be much worse for her before she would consider wearing so little and sining like a caged canary for a bunch of besotted leches.
