"The Winder, The Servant, The Man, The Monster." "I swear that on my own life."
Nobuyuki pulled himself off the floor and looked around "What the hell was that?" he asked the world around him but he received no reply. All he was given was utter silence. He shook his head. He needed to go back to sleep but it was a wonder if he actually would. He wandered into the bathroom and looked into the mirror. He stared for a moment in silence before he heard they another voice and turned to the side to see no one but when he looked back he saw himself in the mirror. He jumped back hitting the door hard "Finding the book is the key. Reading the book is the hallway. But you decide what you find at the end." the figure said. It looked just like Nobuyuki but with blue eyes. The figure smiled "Isn't that how you think of life? Birth is the key, aging is your hallways and at the end..life is what you made it right?" it smiled. Nobuyuki heard another voice and looked around and when he turned back there was a slightly younger version in the mirror but with yellow eyes. He seemed relaxed "Whats the pointing of thinking about all of this, just let fate do all the work, you only have a year to live anyway." he said "I mean its likely that this girl will be the death of you, so just chill and mellow out." it said.
Nobuyuki stared at the mirror and then saw even more of himself appear all with different eyes and attitude. There was the angry one, The scared one, The Smart one, The stupid One, The protective one, The Loving One, The Aggressive one, The Lying one, The truthful One, The Hateful One, The Evil One, The Good One, The Skeptic, The Believer, The Child, The adult, The Lonely One, The Fulfilled One, The Full One, And the Empty one. All of these made who he was, so many conflicting ideas wrapped in a human. Everyday was a struggle within himself but it was a struggle that he had grown accustomed to and chose to ignore, but that was always a mistake. His entire reason for being here was a mistake. All of them talked and tried to tell him something as he fell to his knees and covered his ears again "Stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it ,stop it." and then after a minute it all faded away. He stood up and opened his eyes but what he saw was not pleasant. It was them an in shadows again but he had four glowing red eyes. The shadow stood there with arms crossed before the room went dark but the eyes remained. He then heard them sot terrifying roar he had ever heard and it continued until he couldn't take it.
"SHUT UP!!" he yelled loudly and smashed the mirror and everything was back to normal. He was breathing heavily. The look of fear plastered to his face. He looked at the shattered mirror and stared for a moment. An idea came to his head and he picked up a shard. He ran out of the room leaving behind a broken mirror and went to the book to find the message. That was clue on the other marionette or one of them. It was a clue on how to destroy them. It wasn't Annaliese, it was the woman in the mirror. He stood there and red it clutching the glass in his hand.

 "My, my, my... you really are a sharp one, aren't you?" Myst said, appearing from the shadows, and clapped quietly, as to not allow Annaliese to know of her presence within the house. "Use the mirror to find the mirror doll. I've never heard of such a quick thinker. It took Master and Apprentice a long time to figure out how to destroy their own creation." She was slightly shorter than Annaliese, but then again, she hadn't been made to be the prison of a soul. No, she had been created to be the Master's first doll lover and had been given an artificial soul. She plucked the book out of his hands and read the notes about herself before she chuckled, "Oh my, Master really did know how to spoil the fun in life."╔════════════════════════════════
Feelin’ like I got a front row seat to watch everybody be happy
Can’t even paint a smile on my face, it’s so hard to not complain
There's a bigger picture on display and it's starting to come in focus
Causing me to see to see the ones in need outside my little world

Nobuyuki backed up when Myst appeared and shook his head "This master of yours was a sick, sick, sick man." he said. He coughed and leaned on the table "I can't believe I didn't figure out the way to bring you here before, I mean the mirror Doll..c'mon." he said and looked at her "I knew you would show up when I took a shard, it doesn't matter the surface, as long as its reflective you show." he said. The only way to defeat her was to trap her. The first and last dolls were the strongest dolls at least thats what he thought. The others dolls were just failure but the first two were well...prefect for their own purpose. He didn't know the details but this doll was not a woman trapped within the confines of a wooden shell, no it was a false soul, an empty soul, the first doll the man created to satisfy his need for company. However an empty soul needed to be filled and it needed love, but she never got it and love was the one way for her to be destroyed. Too destroy Myst was to love her. Too love her was to condemn yourself to an eternity in hell. Too destroy Myst was to destroy yourself or at least thats what the notes and designs allude too. He still couldn't figure it out, there was another way but he couldn't pin-point it. He didn't know his connection to the marionettes. He found several mentions of the Sadao name in the notes. and it wasn't any Sadao.No. It was his family. It was his own name that was cursed in this book. He stared at her "What are you doing here?" he asked her. She had on reason to be here, and he didn't summon her he just took the piece. Too destroy Myst was to love her

Myst laughed a little, sitting down in the seat nearest the fireplace and threw the book back to him. She leaned her cheek against one hand and stared at him for a while, knowing what thoughts were running through his head. Let him think that love was all that could destroy her. Oh, there were many ways to destroy her, but that was the only way that the Master and Apprentice could think of. They had created her together to be the perfect woman, but had failed and made her unthinkably devious. That was a big 'oops' on their part. "Yes, it is true that I can enter anything that it reflective, but many I cannot step through from. I can enter them, but cannot leave unless it is through a mirror. Mirrors are my powers, just as the sacred Strings are the powers of your captor."
She giggled a little as she stood back up and took out a small wrapped package. "I have come with a welcoming gift for you, nothing more, so there isn't any need to worry about little ol' me. I want to help you. I want to help you free yourself before it's too late and she has your soul as well as her own trapped in her wooden coffin."╔════════════════════════════════

Nobuyuki sighed and shook his head. He was aware that there were others ways to destroy her. But it seemed that she was correct. The two she was speaking of could only figure out that trapping her in the world inside the mirror was the only way to defeat her and that filling that empty space in her soul was the only way to lure her in. He wished he knew other ways but he knew so little about this twisted little game they were involved in. He stared at Myst and narrowed his eyes and shook his head as he placed the book on the table. It would be utterly useless to him. He had no reason to keep the book. He thought about burning it and letting things ride out.
He looked at the box but didn't make moves towards it. He didn't know whether he should trust her or not. The girl had a dark mind, that was obvious. She was supposed to be perfect. She was supposed to be.....the perfect liar. He stared "Why? Oh, why? Why would you think I would accept this gift from you?" he asked "I hardly trust Annaliese much less you." he said. He really didn't trust Annaliese but he trusted this one much less. He already made a grave mistake by coming in here but he didn't want to make another and possibly fatal one.

Myst laughed a again when he asked why he should trust her any more than Analiese. "Because I am just like you, trapped by her hidden cruelty, her revolting desires that she intends to keep hidden from you until you prove to be of some use." She took out a hand mirror and looked into it for a moment, catching sight of Annaliese sitting against the door. She grinned a little as she placed her mirror on the table between them. "Master and his Apprentice created me in order to love me, but... then they were terrified by the power that I held and put me to sleep, but not before they created the other six after me. I was created to be perfect, but here I am, just as impure as the rest of the world, never to be completely whole or broken. She simply captures the hearts of men before destroying them just as hers was taken from her and so I do not wish a fine young man such as yourself to go through the same fate as the others."
She stood and brushed the wrinkles from her dress before she walked over to the window, which was reflecting the full moon. "Last out three comings and goings of the full moon and you shall be freed from her without any attachment or strings involved. That is when we shall all go back to sleep and begin playing the favorites game again and again for the rest of eternity." She then jumped up and onto the windowsill before stepping into the window and vanishing. The window rippled as if a drop of water had fallen into a calm pond.╔════════════════════════════════

Nobuyuki was still confused even when she explained it. Was Annaliese a wooden maiden or a monster? It seemed that all these marionettes were created for love but only brought sorrow and suffering. They only experienced sorrow and suffering. He honestly doubted that any of these dolls knew what real happiness was. They were all just dark shells of something that was human and from what he read about some of them. Seemed content to take their suffering out on others and each other. He wasn't sure about Annaliese. She seemed like an angel but there was always a hidden motive. She also seemed to scorn his family name for some odd reason. The mirror doll vanished before he could ask her about that. She had told him to outlast three full moons but that was a long time.
He walked over to where the girl had sat down and picked up the box. He slowly began to open it to see what she had tried to give him. When he opened it he stare, he still had no idea what to do and set it inside the book. He took it to his room and stashed it into the walls. He shook his head and laid down and closed his yes. This time sleep was much more peaceful.

Then shall we go search for it…?❞☆═━┈┈━═☆ 〖Annaliese looked up when the sun had began to rise and stood up, her wooden and metal joints creaking as she did so. She turned and unlocked the door, wondering if Nobuyuki knew that the servants always woke up at dawn or if he intended to continue to ignore his new post. Well, I'd better make sure that the garden looks as beautiful as it once had. She walked down the stairs silently as if she were a ghost and stepped into the kitchen. Peering through the window, she saw that the garden was in need of some love and care. I don't suppose that I am allow to step outside and into the backyard, either...〗☆═━┈┈━═☆ ❝...Your eyes know of lonliness

Nobuyuki however came out of his room and into the kitchen wearing gloves and having a whole bunch of gardeners tools. He looked at her but didn't say a word. He walked outside and to the flowers. Oddly enough the garden wasn't that bad. It was as if the flowers had been given love as well or at least most of them. He would have to clear dead flowers and roots. Why would Nobuyuki do this? He needed something to do other than read and his mother taut him that taking care of flowers was a good way to waste time and stay in a peaceful state of mind. If he was gonna give his heart to anything it would be these plants. They deserved it.

Then shall we go search for it…?❞☆═━┈┈━═☆ 〖Annaliese glanced over at Nobuyuki as he walked into the kitchen. She wondered if he had known that she had been thinking about the garden, but then again, he probably wanted as little to do with her as possible. He seemed rather distant to her and she wondered what was going on in his mind. Perhaps if Tami were here I would know... but then again, she hated to pry into other people's minds for others. She thought to herself as she turned to the kitchen and took down the ingredients to make tea. She knew how to do that and cook, since she had spent plenty of time in the kitchen as a child and had been a help to the cook whenever she got the chance. But then she placed her hand against the glass and felt the warmth of the sun and knew that today was going to be very warm.
"Lemonade, perhaps?" She asked the rag doll and it nodded its saggy head before the Marionette smiled a little and decided that that's what she would make for him. "I owe him something, especially after yesterday's trifles." She began to prepare it, finding that whatever she needed always appeared in the cabinets. I suppose he didn't want anyone to go hungry... She thought with a small frown as she took out a bag of sugar and poured some of it into the lemon juice and water mixture. Finally, she finished the lemonade and then set to work on some sandwiches.
Setting them on a tray she walked to the door that led to the garden and stood there for a long moment. It was getting close to noon by now and she knew that he must be hungry, especially since he had not eaten anything since he had come to her. She took a hesitant step out of the door and didn't freeze up or feel darkness overcome her, so she stepped into the backyard and felt the sunlight touch her face. She smiled a kind smile before setting the tray on the table. "If you would care to take a break, it would be good for you to eat something and keep up your strength."〗☆═━┈┈━═☆ ❝...Your eyes know of lonliness

Nobuyuki had been working all day to take care of the garden. He was trying to mend it, to make it look presentable again. He was unaware of what Annaliese was doing inside. He was still trying to figure everything out. What he had gotten himself involved in and what destiny had planned for him. Was he to die by a marionettes hand? Was he to decay? Or was he to set them and their hearts free? It was all a big mystery to him. He had gotten dirty handling the dirt and flowers . He had finally come to a decision. He would go along with Annaliese only to make sure she went back to sleep. He would never call her mistress but he wouldn't be so resistant unless it was something he truly didn't want to do, but first...he wanted to know why she scored his family name.
He suddenly heard her come into the garden. He wasn't surprised she would walk out here, technically the garden was part of the house. Once she walked out of the front door then it was no longer the house grounds. He looked at her. Did she make something for him? He raised a brow and stood up. He took off his gloves and walked over grabbing a cup of lemonade and a sandwich. He went through the lemonade very quickly showing that he was obviously a little tired. He however didn't eat his sandwich as he looked at her "Annaliese can I ask you a question? What was wrong with you yesterday?" he asked her "And how many Winders have you had before me?"

Then shall we go search for it…?❞☆═━┈┈━═☆ 〖Annaliese looked around at what Nobuyuki had done to the garden and smiled a truly warm smile that made her eyes glimmer a little, "You've done a wonderful job for just a couple of hour's worth of work. I haven't seen this garden in this good of shape since before I went to sleep." She walked around the garden for a couple of minutes while he drank the lemonade and tilted her head to the side when she found that the old patch of white roses had died over the past century. "Such a pity, they had been my favorites, too. I'll just have to replant them, I suppose."
She then turned when she heard Nobuyuki's question about herself and the Winders before him. The smile faded to a small once, but it was still sincere, "I was still a little sore about the Apprentice, that's all." She motioned for him to sit at the small metal table as she took the seat across from him. She crossed her legs at the ankles and folded her hands in her lap. "I've only had one other Winder, and that was Apprentice Sadao, or Yuki Sadao to be completely correct. After the Master had trapped me in this form, he couldn't get me to wake, but... Sadao had known that I needed to be wound up, just like the others, and so he did and he was the first that I saw and knew that he was to free me. He taught me how to bind a human's spirit with mine, so that I could be stronger and be able to break free of this curse much more quickly. I... I had come to like him and the Master knew it, so he sent him away, but Sadao promised me that he would one day return and awaken me again. He promised to help me find the heart that I no longer possessed."
"He never returned... well, not until yesterday, for you look just like him, only your eyes are different. He had the power of Strings within him, too, and that is most likely the only reason why you managed to get through the house without it turning on you."〗☆═━┈┈━═☆ ❝...Your eyes know of lonliness

Nobuyuki listened to her tell her the story of why she had given so much spite to his name yesterday. When he had found out why he suddenly felt...guilt. He was as close to Yuki Sadao as a man could be now. Nobuyuki was almost Yuki Sadao but his parents had changed his name at the last second. Yuki Sadao did in fact try hard to keep a promise to a woman but years into his quest he found another love. He stared and sighed shaking his head. How could he have the face of a liar? Nobuyuki was a noble man for the most part. He never lied, he always kept a promise, he was a good man who swore than one day when he found a woman to love he would love her until he end no matter what happened. He looked at her "I guess that does explain a lot." he said and sighed. He looked at her "Annaliese, Yuki Sadao married another woman, he stopped trying to keep his promise to you. I think its obvious you weren't very important to him, or at least not as important as you thought." he said very coldly but with an odd sincerity and regret.
He stared at her " I thought I made it through with sure power of will." he said and shrugged "Anyway, thank you Annaliese for the sandwich...and Myst stopped by." he said and. She might as well know though Myst didn't know anything. A member of his family was a monster and any mood he was in had been reduced to disappointment and danger.

Annaliese muttered to herself as she looked down at her wooden hands and allowed her head to tilt to the side with a sickening creak. It hung there limp for a moment before she looked back up at him. "I understand, though I wish I did not. I am not ignorant as to why he would search for a real woman when I am nothing more than an embellished coffin contain nothing more than a soul and the memories of the girl that lived." But Nobuyuki was different from his ancestral counterpart. Yes, they had the same face, the same soul-piercing eyes, but... he was his own self. And for that, Annaliese could forgive him. "The power of Strings is one that is envied by the other Marionettes and they might try to take it from you as well as me. For I have the ability to control other puppets and dolls, just like Master had been able to. You must guard it with your life, lest you wish for one of them to enslave the human race or... at least run rampant with the power by creating an army of immortal dolls until they wind down."
Then she heard that he mentioned that Myst had stopped back and she looked him straight in the eyes, wishing that what he had said was a lie, that he was joking or something of the sort. No, Nobuyuki hadn't lied once yet and most likely would not, for he was honest, unlike Yuki Sadao. "What did she tell you?"〗☆═━┈┈━═☆ ❝...Your eyes know of lonliness

Nobuyuki looked at her "She came to give me a gift." he said "However I'm not sure what to do with it and she also told me that if I don't use the gift and I want to be free I have to outlast three full moons and given the time to the first full moon and the time in between thats a long time." he said "I think she believed that there was no way I could possibly wait it out." he said and sighed "But she has also warned me about you. She said that you were made to get a man to love you but only so you could destroy their hearts just as yours had been. " he said and shrugged "I don't know about all that, I am only your winder." he said "And after looking in my books, I realize that by extension, I am your servant but I will never call you mistress." he said.
He sighed "You have one more day of peace before the other marionettes come after you right?" he asked. He sighed "Apparently they had shown signs of jealousy and that you guys will apparently try to destroy each other." he said "I wish I could help but unlike you and Yuki I am unable to use string or sense energy.." he said and sighed "Tell me. You don't really plan to trap me in your prison do you?" he asked "Both an entry in the book and Myst have confirmed that you may take my heart and ensnare me in your prison." he said.
