Vahy'n forgot how difficult it was sometimes to keep up with her younger trainer. The girl had an energy and vigor that her previous trainer had not possessed, or kept under a very refined control.
Still, Vany'n couldn't help but see her Kathryn's mannerisms and brightness in the way that Rosie would approach other trainers, greeting comrades, and fellow party goers, engaging in polite conversation.

It was just in the rapid manner the girl was able to move across the room that drew a somewhat fatigues sigh from the water type as she kept to Rosie's side.

Though is there was one thing that Vany'n could count on to keep Rosie in relatively the same place for any given amount of time, it would be the dancing.
Rosie had found her way to the dance floor, during the start of one of the songs, and had taken to gliding and spinning her way through a routine that she knew, crossing her ballroom and ballet.
Vahy'n remained at the edge of the floor not far away, sitting and watching her trainer quietly, with a small smile on her face.

"Actually, I knew that, but thanks..." the model, sighed, rolling her eyes to herself, even as he walked away. "I meant shops in Kodo..." She had at least talked with Yuri about their hometowns, though not in much detail...

She narrowed her eyes at him, watching as he bent to find his glasses, then shook her head. At his remark against her intelligence and grace, she froze, nearly growling at him herself. Lovey stood tense at her feet, shrinking to the ground as the girl turned around to face him yet again. One thing Dove could not stand was anyone attacking her intelligence, especially someone whom she had only met in passing. Her parents had paid good money for her education and she had taken her studies very seriously throughout her years of schooling, if to do nothing more than to shrug off the 'pretty-but-silly' stereotype that came with her chosen profession.

However, now was not the time to retaliate, not in this formal situation. Unable to let it slide completely, however, she simply tipped her head higher and watched him search a moment for his glasses before looking away to watch his pokemon instead. Though her eyes stayed heated, she couldn't help a smirk at the two pokemon that dashed away. "Charming and masterful," she mused aloud, absently watching Izaya grab unsuccessfully at 'Delic' before scanning the room for someone else to talk to, or Yuri and Repede. "No wonder your pokemon are so well behaved." Though she had first believed it might be a good idea to chat with him, 'Chrome' had definitely been a terrible first choice to seek out.

As Izaya's pokemon darted off in different directions, the small eevee at the trainer's feet started, yelping once in surprise. However, her fearful expression melted away as she watched the pink chingling float away despite it's trainer's wishes. As it moved up higher and through the crowds, Lovey's head started to tip to one side, eyes blinking in confusion before she began to follow along after it, padding slowly through the legs of the crowd.

[Izaya, Dove]

Having been watching the entire time from a distance, Yuri notices as Izaya's glasses go skidding across the floor. They end up not to far from him and he casually walks over and picks them up. Turning them over in is hand a few times, he grips the glasses and puts that hand against his hip as well as he approaches their owner.

"Hey man, looking for something?"

However, he doesn't offer up the glasses, merely asking a question. A glance and a little smirk is given to Dove. Repede continuing to remain at his side and silently observing for the time being.

[Dove, Yuri, Lovey]

Though reluctant to have more pokemon out than necessary, Izaya knew, at least, that the trio would come back to him eventually. This had not been the first time that any of them had been let out to run around willy-nilly. And Delic, with his eagerness to please, increased the likelihood of them finding his glasses soon.

So while the informant frowned watching them go, the distinct expression on Dove's face brought him some small satisfaction as he straightened up. The fact that she chose to use his own format of insult against him instead of coming up with her own only added to his amusement. There was a difference, though - one of their last statements had been true, while the other was not. Nuances, he supposed, but he felt it only further supported his original statement.

"Why, thank you," he answered merrily, accepting her sarcasm as a compliment. "Almost tripping over themselves in their hurry to do my bidding...ah, especially little Delic. He'll do anything for my sake, even without my asking! How much more could a trainer want from a pokemon?" He knew he was getting to her. It wasn't very difficult when it came to people who wore their hearts on their sleeves like Luke and Dove.

People like Faleen and Frost, on the other hand...much more mysterious. He could almost never tell what was on their mind and it intrigued him. For the first time that night, he started to miss the company of his fellow Rockets; if only because they seemed to hold better conversations than the one at present. It was starting to sound like he'd gotten into a quarrel with a toddler.

Delic did not have to hop far before he came across Mairu and Kururu, who were staring up at Yuri from behind the forest of guest legs. The psychic-type then noticed that the young man had their trainer's glasses. The twins didn't seem sure of what to do, as stealth was their top priority and they couldn't exactly be stealthy when someone else had picked up their sought object. Did he still want them to get them, or would that make a scene and make him mad...?

Yuri was already heading back to Izaya, however, so Delic happily began hopping back that way as well. The twin Purrloin, on the other hand, weren't ready to do the same just yet. The didn't want their Rocket to think well of them, so they figured they'd fool around for a time before they were called back. It was always nice to be let out of their pokeballs and explore new places every once in a while. They were rarely released as it was, and when they were, it wasn't often they were allowed to spend time together. Izaya had always complained that they got into more mischief that way. What was that funny-looking thing on stage...? The girls set out to investigate it.

The Chingling half-hopped, half-leivtated upward to perch on Orihara's shoulder. His trainer gave him a perturbed look but otherwise allowed Delic to do as he wished. "Yuri-puu~!" Izaya gleefully cried before throwing his arms around the long-haired swordsman. "It's been a while, neh? How's your skill with chopsticks coming along? Don't tell me you haven't been practicing."

"Ching, chingling!" Delic added, before glancing down to see Lovey. "Ling ling?" he inquired, tilting his head.

[Moonpuff, Everyone]

Various musicians in the orchestra shot disapproving glances of varying intensity towards the strange pokemon that had just belched into one of the microphones. Luckily though, a young man in a black suit hurried on stage and pulled the microphone away before he straightened it and spoke into it. "Did anyone lose their, uh," he paused to glance down at the strange pokemon briefly, as if making sure it was the species he thought it was (because really, it was hard to tell with something so... so different, to put it politely), "their Jigglypuff...?"

[Everyone]

More than a little embarrassed at what had just happened, the Jigglypuff decided to try again... except the microphone was yanked away. He frowned... as much as he could anyway. His face seemed to be stuck permanently in that creepy grin, so only the corners of its mouth turned down.

"Puuuuuff" he bellowed disapprovingly.

[Moonpuff]

The young man looked disapprovingly (and rather perturbed) down at the strange Jigglypuff, and tightened his grip on the microphone ever so slightly as he awaited anyone among the partygoers to speak up. He didn't expect anyone to, though; who would want to admit they had such a thing?

[Corinne, Emil]

Abigail had entered the party long ago, wearing a long, full gown of white and gold with matching elbow-length gloves and short heels, all of which she'd acquired during her short trip to Grand Ile before moving to Kodo. Like most attendees, she had one of her pokemon out - Duncan, her Lopunny, and to make him more festive she'd tucked a sprig of holly behind one of his large ears (it itched) and put a red bowtie on him (that was uncomfortable). He didn't look particularly thrilled to be there, but his mistress wanted him out with her, so he put up with everything for the time being and easily kept pace with her as she looked round for Corinne.

She'd wandered around with purpose after not finding her near the entrance, and was starting to lose hope that the girl had even come at all, when the sudden lewd belch attracted her gaze to the stage - as well as the party goers near it. Some people moved aside, giving her a brief glimpse of who looked to be her target, and so Abigail moved with renewed vigor to the girl.

She slowed to a stop near them as Corinne was kneeling, and she offered a warm smile to the Growlithe. "Hello Lady," she said happily, and since Corinne wasn't looking she couldn't very well say hello just yet, so she instead turned to the young man the pair had seemed to be talking yet. "And hello to you too. Are you enjoying the party?"

From behind her, Duncan leaned to one side slightly and half-raised one paw in polite greeting to Lady and the unknown Espeon.

[Rosie, Vahy'n]

A faux-shiny Absol with a collar of gold bells around her neck wandered over and plopped her rear end down not far from Vahy'n. Isabella didn't look particularly happy about jingling with every step, nor about being out in such a large party, but she at least looked pleased to find a pokemon she was familiar with.

With Isabella out and about, Seraphine couldn't be far behind - and she wasn't. She was already out on the dance floor, spinning and twirling her way around until she came across Rosie, and a bright smile lit up her face at seeing her best friend. "Rosie!" The brunette held her arms open to give her friend a hug. "Are you having fun? This isn't my kind of music, but it's still fun to dance to."

Sera had, for once in her life, worn a dress that went below her knees. It was pink with, for once, white accents instead of black, and anyone who knew her recent financial history could probably guess it hadn't been bought for this event and was in fact worn before in another.

[Vahy'n, Isabella]

Mairu and Kururi were rapidly closing in on their target up stage when a human interfered. With all eyes on the moon monstrosity, the Purrloin pair stopped in their tracks. They didn't dare investigate a specimen that had the whole party's attention on it - especially when their trainer was supposed to be lying low.

He had warned them earlier that evening that if they did anything to threaten his position as a free Rocket, he wouldn't let them out of their pokeballs for a month. Possibly not even out of a PC, and that time limit was on the condition that he didn't forget that they were in there.

As much as they enjoyed watching Izaya deal with the pressures of being an underling, even the twins realized how risky the situation was for their trainer. For tonight, at least, it would be far too easy to get him into trouble - either on the League's side or Team Rocket's - and thus to do so would be no fun at all. They had resolved to be good. At least for this one party.

With this in mind, Mairu led Kururi to the less-crowded dance floor area. Seated along the perimeter were a couple of elegant pokemon - a red-tinted Absol and a shimmering blue Vaporeon. Both seemed to be wearing decorative accessories of some sort. The shine of their glinting metal jewelry and bells caught the Purrloin sisters' eyes. Where there was such extravagance, there were rich trainers.

Contriving to look dainty and demure, the girls shyly approached the larger pokemon. Mairu spoke up, Kururi peering out from behind her, She leaned in against her twin, as if for warmth.

(Seraphine, Isabella)

It was the bells that first gave away the approaching pokemon, drawing the Vaporeon's attention, followed with a kind smile when she recognized who it was.
She commented, looking back over at her trainer.
tilting her head to the side, glancing over the Absol with a flare of her head fins

'Rosie!' A call from a familiar voice pulled the blond trainer into an elegant twirl, fanning her dress out, and facing around just in time to see her friend running over.
Rosie let out a gleeful squee as she too opened her arms to meet her friend's hug. Pulling the brunette into a tight hug.
"I'm having a lovely time! though much better now that I have a dance partner! Will you dance with me?" Rosie asked, her face lighting up as she grasped her friends hands.

(Meiru, Kururi)

Isabella and Vahy'n were soon joined by two more pokemon, the water type blinking in surprise to meet the two dark types, furthering her surprise with the story that followed.
<... I will admit, that's certainly not a tail I expected to hear at an event like this. I'm certain there is food for you at any of the tables set up.>

she shared a glance over at Isabella before arching an eyebrow at the two kittens after their monster story
The vaporeon didn't sound particularly saddened by the tail, more confused.

[Rosie]

Seraphine hugged her friend tight. "Of course!" She said happily as she let go, taking hold of Rosie's hands when the other girl did so. "I can dance to any music. Well, almost," she added, thinking of a few particular genres that she just deemed too horrible.

-----

[Vahy'n, Mairu, Kururi]

Isabella said with a bob of her head. The Absol frowned.

The frown stayed when the two Purrloin wandered up and acted pitiful - but being the same type, the Absol was incredibly skeptical. she informed them with absolutely no sign of sympathy and not even giving them a response about some story of a 'monster', and she even jerked the horn on her head in the direction of the nearest set of tables.

[Vahy'n, Isabella]

Mairu repeated, feigning ignorance. She blinked and watched the joyful reunion on the dance floor between the two female trainers. She spoke admiringly as she regarded the Vaporeon and Absol.

Kururi, the darker of the pair, stepped up when Vahy'n inquired about the monster. (Its eyes were red and huge)
...> she murmured. (it kept grinning)
...Spots (and it was covered in craters).>

Mairu agreed, though she ended up sounding more excited than afraid. Glancing in the direction that Isabella indicated, The caramel-colored Purrloin was about to dash off in that direction before pausing.

(Seraphine)

"Perfect! Well then! Don't be shy, lets make this dance floor the place to be"
The blond giggled, reaching a hand out to lead Sera into a quick turn.
"Do you have anything fun planned for your holiday?" Rosie asked, spinning herself and stepping up by her friend.

(Mairu, Kururi, Isabella)

Her head turned softly toward The Absol, at the mention of the Umbreon who had been taken.
The fins on head head lost one of their flare, the tired look in her eyes replaced them as she glanced slowly away.

Whatever she could have said, had to be put on hold, since there were two more pokemon in the aria, and their stories were sounding a little... ridiculous to the older Pokemon. She glanced over at Isabella before turning back to the twins.

<...Now ladies, we both know that you two are specialty bred pokemon. and I certainly find it hard to believe that you would find yourself in the middle of the winter, and in the process of a large and elaborately dressed up party like this, with no inkling of whats going on. Especially considering that your coat doesn't look like you've been out on the run in the winter cold.>
Yellow eyes drifted from one pokemon to the others.
the Vaporeon's voice remained perfectly level, though with an air of a sharp mother in the process of reprimanding her lying children.

[Rosie]

Sera made an adept spin when Rosie led her to, and the question made her momentarily lose her indifferent facade, though she quickly sought to regain it. "Not really, no. Probably just sitting at.. home. What about you?" She asked after another spin, her dress fanning out around her knees as she did so.

-----

[Vahy'n, Mairu, Kururi]

Isabella merely snorted softly at Vahy'n's apology. While she did miss the Umbreon, she was confident they'd get her back. Seraphine was the one who was really broken up about it, although she refrained from speaking more on the matter in front of the two Purrloin. Her gold eyes slid to Vahy'n to make brief eye contact before the elder Vaporeon began speaking down to the dark-types, and the Absol was inwardly very glad that Vahy'n could tell just as easily that the two were lying through their little teeth. That, and that the water-type had avoided any mention of their trainers. That was absolutely none of their business.

When she had finished, Isabella regarded the pair of Purrloin with a critical and judgmental gaze. she huffed, her tone extremely unimpressed with their lackluster performance.

[Vahy'n, Isabella]

At Vahy'n's and Isabella's gentle but stern reprimands, the twins looked at each other.

Mairu stated, but she didn't seem all that disappointed. she explained to Isabella.

(Nothing else to do)
...> Kururi chimed in, looking at Vahy'n in response to her question. (We wanted to go home with you)
...>

the lighter Purrloin elaborated. She spoke these contemptuous words off-handedly, as if merely referring to a defective toy that she wanted to exchange. But from the way her ears and tail drooped, it seemed Mairu actually had some emotional attachment to their human.

Kururi nudged her sister affectionately. (Just for a little while)...> the chocolate-colored dark-type continued. (Can we still sit with you)...?> Both girls looked up at the colorful Vaporeon and Absol expectantly.

(Seraphine)

Rosie shrugged her shoulder "The usual with the family really, I usually spend the morning with Uncle and my cousins, but we're having friends coming over in the afternoon for dinner and a Christmas party." Rosie perked up "Oh please come! please please!"

(Mairu, Kururi)

Vahy'n lifted her chin up a little when the girls admitted their fib, not taking her eyes off of them as she remained quiet, allowing them to explain further.

The Vaporeon said, her voice lowering to a much more gentle tone, though still very refined.

The older pokemon shook her head She asked, lowering herself down to lay her chest onto the floor, crossing her paws.
